In a lengthy blog post, the singer wrote ?I often complain to the ones closest to me that I don’t seem to have much of a private life any more and part of that is my fault. How can I whine about my life being to public if I am the one telling the world what I am doing? Some things in my life need to say in my life only and not on some gossip site. I never want any of my fans to feel like I don’t love them or care about them BUT, sharing the same love and respect for me I need to have the space to grow as a person and make some mistakes.?
Amy Winehouse is about to deliver some new music. It?s just too bad that it?s not her own. The singer is starting her own record label called Lioness Records. Her official website explains ?Amy wanted to create a label where she could sign and work closely with a small roster of artists she really believed in. Lioness symbolises strength, pride and confidence, and will be a place where the artist is given the time, space and the opportunity to develop and flourish.? The first artist on her label is her goddaughter, 13-year Dionne Bromfield from London. She said ?The first time I heard Dionne sing, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing?such an amazing voice from such a young girl. I’m just so proud of her. I’m very lucky to have a record label. Britney Spears was previously reported to be performing on the upcoming Teen Choice Awards after having been nominated for three awards. However, the pop singer didn?t perform on the show which aired yesterday on Fox. Her official website became the bearer of good news and bad news as it first reported of the performance and later reported that she was just going to appear. Britney?s camp also released a statement saying ?We are deeply sorry for any confusion and disappointment and appreciate the ongoing dedication of Britney’s wonderful fans.? I wonder what happened. Maybe they couldn?t get her backing track ready on time.
Michael Jackson’s memorial service could cost Los Angeles taxpayers $1.4million after a website to recoup costs crashed.
City chiefs set up the donation site for Jackson fans that wanted to help pick up the tab to relieve financial pressure caused by the event. But the site failed for more than 12 hours after receiving massive amounts of traffic.
City officials say they have received just $17,000 in donations so far but are hoping for more after the site was fixed.
The overall cost for policing and cleaning up after the memorial came to $1.4 million, a spokesman for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has announced.
The amount includes salaries for the more than 3,000 police officers deployed to secure the streets around the LA Staples Center plus traffic control and cleanup costs.
