Singer Taylor Swift will celebrate Christmas early this year. Recently, she found out that, in December, she will receive an award from the Nashville Symphony during a grand ball.
The beautiful singer will receive the Harmony Award at the annual ball held by Nashville Symphony, which will take place at Schermerhorn Symphony Center on 10th of December, informs contactmusic.com.
The award is given to an artist or a band that best represents the ‘harmony’ of Nashville city, known as the Music City.
“We are proud to be called Music City, and Taylor Swift is the perfect person for this award, because she helped tremendously to promote this amazing community we belong to, all of us” said Alan Valentine, president and CEO of the Nashville Symphony.
Among the artists who have received this award in the past, the Harmony Award, are included: Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood.
It seems that whoever is going to see Taylor Swift on her new tour is in for quite the show… as were the ones who attended her recent concert which featured a great number of theatrics that aren’t normally seen in concerts. When asked to describe her new tour, this is what Taylor Swift said: “The tour is exactly how my imagination looks and I’m so excited that we get to have these entire scenes created on stage.” Well it seems that Taylor Swift’s imagination surely is an amazing place. If it hasn’t already, this is bound to get the ticket sales for her next shows up a bit… and with good reason.
It looks like the country singer is very partial to surprises, especially when they occur in her love life. This is what Taylor Swift had to say about how much she likes such occurrences: "There are no rules when it comes to love. I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you’re going to fall in love with. You never know who’s going to come into your life – and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don’t think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I’m with them." It’s nice to see that Taylor Swift still has such a positive attitude towards surprises in love… especially considering that all of her surprises thus far seem to have been rather unpleasant ones.
Following a banjo-picking performance of her hit single “Mean†at the ACMs, Taylor Swift kept strumming along to offer a great form of flattery to British indie rock band Mumford & Sons. The 21-year old pop/country singer laid down a beautiful rendition of the band’s song “White Blank Page†for BBC. Mumford & Sons’ popularity is on a steady rise and I have no doubt that Taylor’s cover of their song will give them even more of a push. Whether you’re a fan of hers or not, you can’t deny that she did the song more than just a little bit of justice.

It looks like Nicki Minaj may have some competition when it comes to being a female rapper. During a visit to Nashville’s 107.5 radio last week, Taylor Swift showed off some rap skills when she rapped a few lyrics from Nicki’s “Super Bassâ€. The country singer was asked to choose any song she wanted and the radio show’s DJ would play it right away. In a surprising move, Taylor selected Nicki’s song and rapped a few of the lines for kicks. I know it’s impossible for Taylor to release an album outside the country and pop genre but if she wants to have a bit of fun, I wouldn’t rule out rapping.

Miley Cyrus was originally set to perform the Poison hit “Every Rose has Its Thorn” at the 2010 American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles this past Sunday. However, the Disney singer/actress made a last minute switch and performed her song “Love and Forgiveness” off of her album “Can’t Be Tamed” instead. I wonder if it’s because of the reports that her parents are actually going through a divorce because her mom allegedly had an affair with Poison rock star Bret Michaels. It’s a big possibility. In any case, Miley did well on her performance. I’m glad to see that she managed to keep herself together through these tough times.

Country cuties Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood are both up for three CMT Music Awards each! The singers are actually tied for the lead in nominations with Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum. Other nominees this year include Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire and Tim McGraw. The CMT Music Awards, which will be hosted by Kid Rock, will take place on June 9. Fans can vote at vote.CMT.com to help determine the winners. Who do you think will rake in the top awards? Taylor and Carrie have been battling it out for a while now. If you’re an insomniac and your iTunes isn’t filled to the brim with Coldplay music, then you’re doing yourself a disservice. According to a Travelodge survey, the UK band is on top of the list of artists that helps people fall asleep. And just in case Coldplay isn’t enough for you, the rest of the top 10 are as follows: Michael Buble, Snow Patrol, Alicia Keys, Jack Johnson, Taylor Swift, Mozart, Barry White, Leona Lewis and Radiohead. How cool is it that Mozart managed to creep in between all those contemporary artists? Do these artists help you fall asleep or are there others that do the trick for you?
While talking about her upcoming album ‘Speak Now’, Taylor Swift revealed that she will never stop taking material from her life and putting them into music. The country singer said “It sort of is what it is. I’ve had this formula for a long time that I’ve kind of applied to my music. If I continue to write music about my life and my life is always changing, then my music is always changing. And if I change that whole process of writing music, that entire process of writing songs in my bedroom about what I’m going through at that moment — because the only way I know how to understand pain or move past it is to write songs about it — if I change that, I’m really more changing a part of who I am. And I don’t really want to start doing that… It’s understandable [having reservations about dating her], but … I’ve never kept quiet the fact that I write songs about people. It’s like, this is album number three. You guys have had fair warning!”
Taylor Swift released today a new song called “Mean” on iTunes. This new single “Mean” is the latest track from her upcoming album “Speak Now”

Taylor Swift released a new promo single called “Back To December”, This lovely song will appear on Swift’s upcoming album titled “Speak Now”, in stores on October 25th
Off cours is a Hit it’s Taylor we are talking about
Taylor Swift has revealed that she has put a lot of her own life into the songs on her upcoming album ‘Speak Now’. In a new interview with Glamour magazine, the country singer reveals “Everything that happens to me gets put into a song. For some reason, I’m really comfortable talking about my personal life in songs. There, I don’t hold back: names, dates, times, expressions on people’s faces, exactly where we were and how it felt, what I wish I would have said to them in the moment.” This album could very well be known as the official Taylor Swift autobiography.

Clearly there is nothing more that can stand in her way. This week is Lady GaGa’s one-hundredth on the Billboard 200. That means that Lady GaGa is about two months away from being present for two years in a top. Truly there are few pop princesses that can actually boast such performances. Lady GaGa’s career seems to be heading the right way and she might just have a shot at getting over the “one hit wonder” mark forever. Taylor Swift is the one who’s record she has to beat though and that will require another 24 weeks at least. But it doesn’t look like Lady GaGa is going anywhere either way.
Taylor Swift’s new single “Mine” has leaked on the Internet Today. a New song Mine is Taylor’s first single from her new album called “Speak Now”

Taylor Swift has managed to win multiple trophies from just about every music awards show I can think of and I’m beginning to think that the country singer can win just about anything. That was recently proven when the International Bowling Museum just inducted Taylor into the Hall of Fame. Steven Johnson, executive director of the BPAA, explains “In many ways, Taylor Swift perfectly represents the current face of bowling, especially as the sport enjoys unprecedented growth in popularity among youth, women and young adults.” The best part is that her honor was voted upon through an online poll, with 1.3 million votes for Taylor, followed closely behind by Justin Bieber.

Taylor Swift rocked out a couple of her hits after signing autographs for over half a day of a meet and greet this past Sunday as part of the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. The 20-year old country singer actually went over the announced 13-hour signing time as Taylor was with fans for 14 and a half hours! She later went on her Twitter posting a picture of her arm and saying “They brought me these bracelets and wrote on my arm as the hours passed. 14.5 hour signing. Today was love.” 10,000 fans showed up and she met with almost 2000 of them!

In a recent interview with ShowStudio.com, Lady Gaga talked about her guilty pleasure of singing a country song when it comes on the radio. And just who is the singer singing along with? Taylor Swift! The princess of pop said “I don’t want to hurt her feelings, because she’s lovely. That Taylor Swift song? You Belong with Me? Oh my God! When it comes on the radio, I sing it so loud and I’m so embarrassed! Because I so freely sing it so loud! You can’t help it! The song, it’s not a bad song. It’s a great song! I think it’s just because it’s very whimsical in a way that I’m not necessarily whimsical every day. When it comes on, I just get this… I wanna sing it! Every woman feels that way. So I didn’t mean that in a bad way, Taylor. I think you’re lovely and beautiful, and I think you’re a great songwriter.”
Taylor Swift will host a 13-hour meet and greet with her fans at the CMA Music Festival this year on June 13. The event begins at 8AM at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and end at 9PM. The country singer will also have an acoustic performance around 2PM that afternoon. Mind you, the event is also free and open to the public. Taylor said “My favorite thing about CMA Music Fest has always been getting to spend time with the fans. So this year I wanted to figure out a way to meet as many of them as possible. Thirteen is my lucky number and the 13th is during Music Fest, so I think spending 13 hours with my fans is going to be amazing!”
Kanye West is back with a new song called ‘Power’ which features soul singer Dwele. The song is off of the rapper’s forthcoming album, tentatively called ‘Good Ass Job’. In the song, Kanye attacks Saturday Night Live for mocking him after his infamous interruption of Taylor Swift’s win during last year’s MTV VMAs. The lyrics go “F–k SNL and the whole cast, tell them Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass / More specifically, they can kiss my a–hole / I’m an a–hole? You n—as got jokes. They say I was the abomination of Obama’s nation, well that’s a really bad way to start the conversation / At the end of the day, God Dammit, I’m killing this s–t, I know damn well they feeling this shit / I don’t need your p—y, b–ch, ’cause I’m on my own d**k.”
