NBC has announced the rest of the musical guests for this season of America’s Got Talent and I’m pumped to find out that Nicki Minaj and Susan Boyle will both be performing tonight! The rapper will perform “Where Them Girls At” with David Guetta and Flo Rida, while Susan will perform “You Have to be There”. Other upcoming guests include Tony Bennett, Queen Latifah, season 5 winner Michael Grimm, AGT finalist Jackie Evancho, Il Divo and Def Leppard. Cirque du Soleil’s Iris will also be making a performance on the show in September. That is one awesome line up. Who’s excited?
Simon Cowell has admitted that Susan Boyle taught him some serious lessons about judging people on their looks. Speaking on a conference call to promote the X-Factor USA, the 51-year-old confessed that he was ‘guilty’ of making snap judgements about contestants. According to Digital Spy, he said, “You just can’t put an age cap on talent. With Susan Boyle, who would have thought this little lady living on her own in Scotland would go on to sell nearly 20 million records? It’s just typical of the record business saying that you have to look this way or whatever. “I was guilty of that. She taught me a huge lesson that I have to be more open-minded. I think the American audience know what talent is and I don’t think it matters if you’re in your 40s, 50s, 30s or 14 years old. If you have it, you have it. You only have to look at Madonna. She’s still one of the most influential artists in the world. It doesn’t matter how old she is.” The X Factor USA will be open to entrants aged as young as 12-years-old. Cowell said the decision to drop the minimum age has stemmed from a change in the market.

The co-creator of the hit show, Ryan Murphy, has revealed what role he would like the Britain’s Got Talent star to play: I have two words for you: Lunch. Lady.
He told Entertainment Weekly: I think Kurt would just die to give her a Christmas makeover. I don’t even know if she’s interested but it’s been pitched.
Other celebrities who’ve appeared on the show include Neil Patrick Harris and Olivia Newton-John.
Murphy also said there were plans for a Christmas album.
Susan Boyle wants to work with the princess of pop Lady Gaga. The YouTube sensation of a singer said ?I think Lady Gaga is a wonderful artist and completely original and I like her costumes. Love it! Yes, I’d love to do a duet with her, complete with telephone hat too!? Susan also hopes to sing for the Pope. Something tells me that her chances with the latter are better especially with the genre of music involved with the former. However, we all know that Lady Gaga loves her so we can?t completely rule that out. I?m pretty sure it will be weird if it does happen.
Simon Cowell did a mighty fine job organizing and finding artists to sing on the cover of REM?s hit ?Everybody Hurts?. The cover features some of the biggest artists on the UK and US music scenes. The song will be available for download on Sunday, February 7, and released on CD the following day. The song features the voices of Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Susan Boyle, Mika, Michael Buble and more. American Idol boss Simon Fuller is fuming at Simon Cowell for quitting a $163million deal to launch his own The X Factor venture in the US.
Fuller, a UK mogul in whose footsteps Cowell followed, called The British X Factor wrestling, the UK Mirror reports. Fuller said Idol would weather the storm out of a “boxing type” purity, staying above the fray and true to a mission to find talented singers. “I want Idol to be purely about talent. We’re not going to be led into the mud, we’re going to stay on our hill,” he said.
It was strong language for Cowell, who is poised to launch a megaventure to take his vehicle to Vegas with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green. The new show would kick off in 2011 with Cheryl Cole a hopeful addition.
Fuller appeared to snipe with envy when he added: ?The Susan Boyle phenomenon is not based on anything but the bizarre. I have integrity about music and believe talent that comes out of Idol is legitimate.”
One insider said: “Fuller has got brains and instinct but has the personality of a wet weekend in Hastings – Cowell has the lot.”

The Scottish star, nicknamed the ‘Hairy Angel’, appeared on stage in a floor-length black gown and was accompanied by a full orchestra.
SuBo brought the studio crowd to their feet during her cover version of the Rolling Stones classic and received a standing ovation as applause rang around the Hollywood theater.
Shakira, Leona Lewis and even Piers Morgan provided entertainment for the results show before chicken farmer Kevin Skinner, 35, was revealed as the winner of the competition.
The country bumpkin walked away with the US$1 million prize and a contract for his own Las Vegas headlining show after beating cancer-survivor and soprano Barbara Padilla.

Simon Cowell said Susan Boyle was never pushed into appearing on Britain’s Got Talent.
The judge said: “I sat down with her and said, ‘Look, if this is getting too much for you, you don’t have to go into the final. No one’s going to force you, you do whatever you want, whatever suits you’.
“And she looked me in the eye and said, ‘No, I want to win this competition, I want to give it a go’. That was the decision we all made. No one ever put a gun to her head and said, you’ve got to enter the show.”

Susan Boyle’s failure to turn up to rehearsals for the Britain’s Got Talent tour in London has thrown organisers into a flat panic, it was reported today.
The tour is set to open in Birmingham on Friday, but Boyle has so far failed to show for rehearsals, the report said.
Her spokeswoman, however, said she is due at rehearsal today and “she is eager to do the tour”, it was reported.
Meanwhile, BGT judge Simon Cowell has reportedly rented a ?2 million apartment for Boyle and her cat, Pebbles, the report claimed.
Cowell, it said, was paying for her to stay in a north London convent for five weeks. The other BGT contestants were staying in hotels.
A source for the tour reportedly said: “No one knows quite what Susan wants to do. We?re leaving everything up to her, to make sure that she?s happy and well. But the problem is that she changes her mind every two minutes.”
Boyle’s new private doctor reportedly recommended an “idyllic and highly secure” lodging at the convent to Cowell.
The report quoted a source saying: “Simon is looking after his prize possession. No expense will be spared to make sure she is happy and well enough to perform.”

The dance troupe beat singer Susan Boyle to claim the prize on the British show – and now Jacko, 50, is reportedly keen to sign them up.
A source said: “Michael has already seen what the boys can do.
“He was captivated with Susan Boyle so he had an interest in the show. But when Diversity came up on the outside rail, he was mesmerised.”

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell is planning to take Susan Boyle on the American version of the show, he has revealed.
But Cowell, 49, said the Scottish singer will have to win the show before he offers her the chance in the US.
He said: “I would say to anybody who won the British show that we guarantee them a spot on the American show. I think that’s a great incentive. So if it is Susan, yes.”
Cowell, who also admitted he isn’t a fan of Boyle’s new makeover, said the singer will still need to work hard at the semi-finals.
He told British newspaper The Sun: “Susan has four weeks to prepare for the biggest night of her life. She has got to sing better than she ever sang before.”
The Britain?s Got Talent Judges were both blown away by the 48-year-old singing sensation but one has been left less than impressed by her reaction to new-found fame.
Simon Cowell has called Boyle?s dramatic change in appearance “unnecessary” while Piers Morgan called it an “improvement”.
Cowell said: ?I think what matters is the person inside. I genuinely don?t care how she looks.?
?First of all, she?s a woman. Here?s somebody who?s now one of the most famous people in the world with a lot of people saying you don?t look very good.
?I don?t think it?s necessary though because I think what matters is the person inside, not how she looks now.
?I just want her to take this opportunity, sing fantastically and make the most of the biggest opportunity she?s been given in her life. And I genuinely don?t care about how she looks.?
Morgan said he?s pleased with the easier-on-the-eye look.

Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle could be set to sing with her idol Elaine Paige after the singer said they “should record a duet”.
Susan, 47, has become a worldwide hit after her performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables on the show. On the show, Susan was asked who she would like to become as successful as, and she replied Elaine Paige.
But now Elaine, 61, has said she is also a fan of Susan and they should sing a song together.
Elaine said: “I just have to mention Susan Boyle. Now ever since Susan’s appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, my inbox has been flooded with emails.” She added: “It seems that her performance really has captured the hearts of everyone who saw her, me included I have to say. I don’t know, perhaps we should record a duet.
Elaine also had a message for Susan. She said: “Susan ? your performance is proof that Britain really does have talent and you are a role model, my dear, for everyone out there who has a dream.”
She added on her BBC Radio Two show: “Good on you and many congratulations. And I shall continue to watch and I hope that you get to the final. I wish you every possible success.”
