Mel B, former band mate of Victoria Beckham in Spice Girls, will give birth to her future child in the same salon where her girlfriend brought the world Seven Harper Beckham in July.
The former Spice Girls band component said she reserved the same salon where Victoria Beckham gave birth a month ago at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, announces Female First. In an interview with the British magazine Hello!, Mel B – who will give birth in a few days – has revealed the fact that she wrote an invitation to Victoria to the party in honor of her future child, but she could not make it.
Later, she mentioned that she’ll give birth in the same salon as the new mother. “The funniest thing is that I will give birth in the same room at Cedars-Sinai in which Victoria has brought to the world Harper,” said the British artist.
Mel B married Stephen Belafonte and has two children from previous relationships: Phoenix Chi (12), and Angel Iris (4).

Big Names to Judge X Factor

Ξ June 10th, 2010 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Simon Cowell, Spice Girls, X-Factor |

The first round of auditions for the X Factor kicked off today in Glasgow. On the judging panel sits regulars Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh. However, they aren’t alone as former Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell will also be joining them to judge the contestants, filling in for Dannii Minogue. If Geri isn’t enough for you, she isn’t the only big named celebrity to look forward to as rumors are going around that Prince might also act as a judge on the show. I’m not holding my breath for that one though. I doubt that he will creep out of seclusion just to judge those less talented than him.

Lily Allen labels Dad ‘useless’

Ξ June 9th, 2010 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Lily Allen, Spice Girls |

Lily Allen has dubbed her father Keith Allen “not a responsible adult” and “useless” for having left the family when she was only 4-years-old, according to reports.

“I feel I know that about him so I still want to have a relationship with him, so I make the effort to go and see him, I don’t expect him to come and see me just because I know what he’s like and there’s only so much you can say ‘Oh, that person’s useless’ because it’s pretty pointless,” the Smile singer is said to explain in an interview to air on Sky Arts.

The singer also lashed out at the Spice Girls, labelling them not “real” and declaring that S Club 7 made “rubbish” music, saying she was “irritated” by the pop culture of the past 20 years.

“I felt if I’m going to be a pop star I want to be a real pop star and I want to say real things,” the Express reports her as saying.

Simon Cowell is recruiting

Ξ January 15th, 2010 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Beckham, Simon Cowell, Spice Girls, X-Factor |

Seeing as how his American version of the X Factor is in the building plans, Simon Cowell is trying his best to bring on all sorts of interesting folk to join in the fun. Next on the list would have been Victoria Beckham for one of the judge?s seats, but the former Spice Girl apparently turned Simon Cowell down more or less. This is what a source related about Victoria Beckham?s refusal: “Victoria told Simon she needs time to think about it as she is so busy with her fashion work right now. Looking at her hectic schedule, some of the dates mooted could be problematic as David is away, so she wants to work from home and look after the kids. Simon is incredibly charming so who knows. they did have a long conversation and although Victoria thinks he will be too manic to commit, she loved her time on the Idol panel.” Well, that?s what you get when you ask a working mom to dedicate herself to a career. But Simon Cowell is probably going to find a way? he always does.

Melanie B gets host job

Ξ January 11th, 2010 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Music |

The former Spice Girl is apparently going to be doing a new gig from now on: Melanie B is going to host the reality competition ?Dance Your Ass Off? and she will be replacing former host Marissa Jaret Winokur. This is what the producer of the show said about Melanie B?s new gig: “Oxygen looked at some things they wanted to change. Marissa was a fabulous host. She was great hosting the show and got great press, but they found in talking to the audience that there was a portion of the audience who loved her and a portion who didn’t connect with her. The core Oxygen audience grew up as Spice Girls fans, so they connect with Mel B.” It sure does pay to have played in a famous pop group, doesn?t it? The boy-bands however don?t seem to have done so well.

Spice Girls Reality

Ξ October 26th, 2009 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Spice Girls, reality show |

With talks of a tour and musical, all that?s left for the Spice Girls is some TV work and it looks like they?re heading that was too. According to reports, the members of the band are planning a reality/talent show to find versions of themselves for the Spice Girls musical. The band?s former manager and mastermind and owner of the Idol shows, Simon Fuller, is helping with the idea. A source said ?It’s a fantastic new way to broaden out the Spice franchise and cash in on their personalities, their story and their songs. The girls would have to work intensely on a TV show for a short period of time. But they then launch a musical which could run for months or even years. It will take on a life of its own. The concept could even be replicated in other countries. The sky is the limit with this one.?

X Factor judge Simon Cowell has said that his slamming of the Beatles was a joke.

The 49-year-old, who recently stated if the Beatles had taken part in the British TV talent competition, he wouldn’t have put them through to the finals, has now said he was only joking.

Cowell told RadarOnline.com: “Regarding my comments on the Beatles, it was a joke. I have always said they were the group I have always wished I had signed.

“Also, to set the record straight, it was recently reported that I turned down the Spice Girls. In fact, I offered the girls a recording contract before they were signed and actually offered to double the offer they had on the table.”
