Hit US band Fall Out Boy have reportedly split up after band member Pete Wentz hinted so on Twitter.
The rock band has been together since 2001 and it consists of vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, guitarist Joe Trohman, bassist Pete Wentz and drummer Andy Hurley.
Fall Out Boy’s bassist, Pete Wentz, recently wrote on his Twitter page: “cant imagine playing in fob again. something would have to change in my head or my heart – not my wallet. itd have to be real.”
He later added: “Not gonna speak to anything publicly about the band internally. my brothers 2 the grave. thnx 4 being there from day 1.”
Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz has sparked internet rumours after posting pictures of his bloodied and bruised face online.
The musician looked as if he had been beaten up in the snapshots, which he shared on his blog.
Pete, 30, penned a multiple-choice quiz for fans to guess what happened to him.
He wrote: “My face was badly bludgeoned because….”
Included in the list of reasons were: Latenight game of “face jousting” gone horribly right; I was wasted. You should see the other guy; Forgot to thaw turkey before deep-frying; Realised my sex appeal was getting in the way of my art, like Brad Pitt and Matt Damon; Watched ‘Fight Club’ in like, super hi-def dude; Bathroom door; Lease up on old face… you decide.”
He then took to his Twitter page and said: “Weirdness is happening in my life right now.”
An hour later, he wrote: “Holy f, I look like Frankenstein.”
Pete has been snapped in recent days in New York Christmas shopping with 13-month-old baby son Bronx.

The Fall Out Boy bassist got the tat of Cobra Starship star Gabe Saporta’s face to honour a ?gentleman’s bet?.
Gabe posted the snap of Pete displaying his new body art on his Twitter page.

The tattoo reads: ?Gabey baby made me go bad,? a reference to Cobra Starship’s hit song Good Girls Go Bad, featuring Gossip Girl beauty Leighton Meester.
Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz has denied rumours the band are about to split, but admitted they have “no future album plans right now”.
Pete, 30, caused concern with his fans when he was asked on Twitter recently if a new Fall About Boy album is in the works.
He said: “I’m not sure. This may be the swan song. But we might have another in us. We’ll see.”
However, Pete confirmed to MTV News that the band aren’t planning to split any time soon.
He said: “No, we’re not calling it quits, but [we've got] no future album plans right now.”
He added: “We can’t quit, we’re waiting to get fired.”
But Pete admitted that he doesn’t know what will happen in the future and he isn’t sure what the band will be doing next.
He said: “I think it’s all in context. There aren’t any new Fall Out Boy songs currently because we don’t write music just for the sake of it. At the same time, tomorrow maybe we will.
“We will stop doing Fall Out Boy when it stops being fun. Currently, we’re about to go out on what we think will be a really fun tour [with Blink-182].
“All I meant in the [Twitter] statement is that if [Fall Out Boy's single] What a Catch, Donnie was the last statement we made, I would feel content.”

The musician from Fall Out Boy who will be playing a couple of festivals this summer in the UK is considering taking his 4-month old son Mowgli with him on tour. Pete Wentz said: “Would I take my baby to a festival? We’ll see. I wouldn’t mind him seeing the headliners Radiohead at all.” A four month old baby is getting to go to a music festival? Is Pete Wentz out of his freaking mind? What?s that little guy going to understand from all the noise and bustle around him? This is not what people should be doing to expose their children to music. Hopefully Pete Wentz will realize this before he starts touring or little Mowgli might have a very rotten summer.
The bass player from Fall Out Boy has had an increasing paranoia of the fact that someone is out to get him. Here?s what Pete Wentz said about his fears: “I refuse to answer my front door because I’m convinced someone is going to murder me. I used to think that some day I’d end up murdering a close friend or relative. Now it’s reversed and I’m convinced it’s going to happen to me. That’s the way I’m going out, I’m completely sure of it. So I refuse to answer the front door ? it greatly minimizes that risk.” Most certainly nobody would ever succeed in murdering Pete Wentz as long as he doesn?t even open his front door. It?s purely logical? just like if I want to reduce the risk of dying in a nuclear war, I?ll just walk around in a led suit all day.
