Rihanna was recently announced to be the latest addition to the 2010 Lilith Fair tour stop in Salt Lake City on June 12. The Barbadian singer joins the likes of Sarah McLachlan, Colbie Caillat, Emmylou Harris, Erykah Badu, Indigo Girls, Jill Scott, Kelly Clarkson, Ke$ha, Mary J. Blige, Norah Jones, Sarah Bareilles, Selena Gomez, Sheryl Crow, Sia, Sugarland and more. Tickets for the Salt Lake City date go on sale on April 17 at LilithFair.com. Now that is a show that?s more likely to sell out as compared to dates for her Last Girl on Earth tour. Maybe that?s why she decided to take the gig. She has to make up for her own tour.
American Idol has kicked off its new season with stars like Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige and Neil Patrick Harris lending their judging talents to panel regulars Kara DioGuardi, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell in choosing singers who would make it to Hollywood. The first guest judge Victoria Beckham recently spoke to People magazine about the auditions, saying ?I believe in constructive criticism and I am a very positive person, so I always tried to find something good and helpful to focus on, be it someone?s singing, their looks or their overall style. Having been a performer, I know how difficult it is to be that person standing there being judged. I didn?t want to trample on people?s dreams.?

They have quite a star-studded guest judge list to boot! Not only is Ellen DeGeneres taking over for Paula Abdul for the whole season but Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Shania Twain will be guest judges throughout the season. I am definitely looking forward to this new season!
