Lady Gaga is featured on the cover of the October 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, which hits newsstands on September 27. The 25-year old pop singer talked to the magazine about her body image and self-confidence, saying “I’m very free-spirited. Even when I was a kid, I used to run around naked with the babysitter, driving her crazy. I do yoga, I do Bikram and I run, and I eat really healthy. You know, my work sort of feeds me. I keep in shape by working hard.” Lady Gaga, who had a natural look going for her on the cover, also talked about staying true to herself, saying “Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”
Adam Levine recently spoke with Rolling Stone magazine about his relationship with fellow The Voice coach Christina Aguilera. When asked whether they have hooked up in the past, the Maroon 5 lead singer said “I just met her a couple of days before we started shooting! I don’t know where it comes from. We just bicker like brother and sister, and part of it is fabricated by the television gods. But she’s great. I respect the sh– out of her. She’s going through a tough time, and God bless her. This show is great for her. But if she busts my balls, I’ll bust hers.”
“Glee” actor Cory Monteith is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Parade magazine, which is out this Sunday. The 29-year old star told the magazine that by the age of 13, he was skipping school to drink and do drugs. Cory went to rehab at the age of 19 and was given an ultimatum by his family to get clean or be sent to jail. Cory said “I was done fighting myself. I finally said, ‘I’m gonna start looking at my life and figure out why I’m doing this.’ I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too. But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can.”

For the second year in a row, U2 has been named the highest paid band by Forbes. Every year, the magazine releases a list of the 25 biggest-earning musicians. Acts that have gone on tour consistently throughout the year tend to make the top spots on the list and the rock band was no exception. U2 pulled it $195 million after bringing their 360 tour to a close, with the tour itself banking over $700 million. Coming in second was Bon Jovi, who made $125 million. Elton John came in third with $100 million. Lady Gaga earned $90 million and Michael Buble earned $70 million, to round out the top 5.
Beyonce is featured on the cover of the July issue of Dazed & Confused magazine. The summer music special features the 29-year old R&B singer/actress in what the magazine calls “a scorching hot trailer park fantasy”. When asked about taking her little time away from the music industry, Beyonce said “I needed some time to live. I’ve been signed to the same label since I was 12 years old and never had more than a month and a half off since I was 13. I’ve worked so hard for so many years and just felt like, ‘Well, why not?’” She definitely deserved that break but it’s also great to see and hear her new music.

Jessie J recently had a talk with Interview magazine where the 22-year old British singer/songwriter talked about her struggles and making music that means something. On going through her struggles, Jessie J said she doesn’t mind them at all, saying “I’m glad I’ve had to struggle. It’s made me the artist I am now.” As for making music, she shared “I’ve been surrounded by male egos my whole career and sometimes just wanna go, ‘Oh, f— off.’ I’m going to make sure that each song is more than just ‘I’m in the club, shaking my booty.’” Good on you Jessie J!

The 23-year old pop singer has several reasons to celebrate, including being named the magazines Hot 100 Artist of the Year, as well as Top New Artist. Ke$ha talked about her whirlwind past year with the magazine, saying I pretty much feel like Ive been reborn into this completely different existence. My entire life has become making music and playing shows, and I love it. Congratulations to Ke$ha for getting such an honor. Do you think she deserves it? Kanye West is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Complex magazine. Instead of having an intensive interview with the rapper, the magazine had some of Kanyes friends talk about him. One such comment was from friend and collaborator Nicki Minaj. She said Hes a legend in hip-hop and in pop culture and to be on his album is a blessing. I dont even remember him ever working with a female rapper, so to be on an album and on a record this monstrous? I couldnt have planned it better in a perfect world. At least Kanye knows that there are some people in this world that still like him.
Taylor Momsen recently had an interview with Bullet Magazine where the Gossip Girl actress and Pretty Reckless lead singer talked about her music career and life on the road. The 17-year old said Well on stage, Im performing. Its another extension of myself. I mean, I dont walk out of my bedroom in the morning with stripper heels on. I see myself as totally insane. Im totally moody. Of course. And Im totally out of my mind. And Im always myself. And that totally didnt make any sense to me. I dont even think that Taylor actually answered the question.

In a new interview with Glamour magazine, the country singer reveals Everything that happens to me gets put into a song. For some reason, I’m really comfortable talking about my personal life in songs. The pop singer talked a bit about sexuality and religion saying It does not matter if its Madonna or my boyfriend doing it – if you put sexuality and religion in the same bottle and try to shake it up, its not cool. If youve been living under a rock your whole life and just recently came out from under it, Katys dad is actually a pastor. Go figure.
Diddy recently spoke to Ozone magazine and talked about how some people move on up in the music industry, aka having sex with people for tracks. The rapper and all-around mogul said I dont really know about the whole fuckin for tracks thing. I never really heard about that shit. As a producer I dont know if some ass will make you go in the studio and spend three days making a track for chick. I cant really see that working. It takes too much time to produce a track the right way for you to give it away for some ass.

After 16 years with the label, the boys of Weezer have left Geffen Records and plan to start producing their own music all on their own, also known as being indie. What that means, even the band doesn?t know, but bassist Scott Shriner told Billboard Magazine that they are definitely working on new music and are scheming something big for fans. One of the things that they have in store is a collection of B-sides and rare recordings the guys have had over the years. That sounds like a great way to recycle. The band talked about moving away from their 2007 hit album ?Oracular Spectacular? and giving a new style of music saying ?If we tried to re-create our last album and someone didn?t like it, I think it would have been really difficult to look them in the eye and tell them we really believed in the album. Anything else is completely different. Bieber wasn?t in a boy band. Bieber?s music is very different from Timberlake?s. And Timberlake hasn?t been on the music scene lately. I?m kind of wishing that he was back already so he can shut these comparisons up.

In a recent interview with Seventeen magazine, Miley Cyrus talked about who she looks up to the most. The Disney star said that she really looks up to her fellow singer Beyonce. Miley said ?I want to be like Beyonce. She is the ultimate woman. You look at her and you don’t think, I wonder what her personal life is like. You look at her and you go, that girl on the stage is a superstar. You don’t care about anything else; you only care about her music. So I would hope that would be me in the future.?
