But I feel like you’re missing an Alanis Morissette, in 2010. I love how she was a voice for a lot of people who couldn’t explain their feelings. But it’s not like I’m not gonna compete. I love a good dose of healthy competition. It’s not going to be the same that they’re doing??
Ke$ha recently revealed that she finds rednecks hot and that she even went and tried to make a move on a celebrity that portrayed a redneck in one of his movies. The singer told Details magazine ?I went to a club opening with Katy Perry about a year and a half ago. I saw David Spade, and I always thought that he was, like, so sexy in Joe Dirt. Blige and Neil Patrick Harris lending their judging talents to panel regulars Kara DioGuardi, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell in choosing singers who would make it to Hollywood. The first guest judge Victoria Beckham recently spoke to People magazine about the auditions, saying ?I believe in constructive criticism and I am a very positive person, so I always tried to find something good and helpful to focus on, be it someone?s singing, their looks or their overall style. Having been a performer, I know how difficult it is to be that person standing there being judged. I didn?t want to trample on people?s dreams.?

The next season of American Idol is shaping up to be a good one. The reality TV talent show is back on the air on January 12 for a 2-night, 4-hour premiere event featuring the auditions from Boston and Atlanta. They have quite a star-studded guest judge list to boot! Not only is Ellen DeGeneres taking over for Paula Abdul for the whole season but Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Shania Twain will be guest judges throughout the season. I am definitely looking forward to this new season!
Beyonce scooped three awards at the MTV Europe Music Awards at the ceremony to mark the tearing down of the Berlin Wall 20 years ago.
The singer was awarded the best female, best song for Halo, and the best video for Single Ladies [Put a Ring on It].
She told the audience: “I have to dedicate this award to all the other beautiful artists. Thank you MTV for this wonderful honour,” upon receiving her best female award.
Jay-Z, Beyonce’s hip-hop musician husband, won the best urban act category. He said: “I look forward to the day when all those walls come down.”
Beyonce stepped up after her husband’s speech and performed Sweet Dreams.
Eminem won best male act. He thanked his supporters in a video message.

Rivers Cuomo of Weezer has revealed that he will be working with Katy Perry on her next album saying that they will be writing together this week and that he?s very excited about it. Katy herself has just headed back in the studio last week to start working on the new album which the singer said is going to be very different from her smash record ?One of the Boys?. She said ?I’m kind of thinking I want to do my record like a mesh between ‘Lovefool’ by the Cardigans and ['The Sign'] by Ace of Base. I want to make songs that people want to hold hands and roller-skate to. I’m not looking to alienate my fans, but I can’t be that grown-up Shirley Temple girl wearing the stupid strawberry in her hair all the time?because I’d kill myself or someone else would for me. The singer talked about how she makes sure that she doesn?t give anyone a different kind of show, saying ?Every time before I go on stage, or go out where I know there will be a lot of Press, I take a skipping rope and spend about ten minutes, fully clothed, skipping. Cowell must just be recovering from the comment that his fashion sense was “boring” from fellow X Factor judge and style princess Dannii Minogue.
Now Perry has told a film crew: “As much as he’s an a**hole he’s a very truthful, honest a**hole.”
Cowell, 49, was said to have reacted to the comment by saying: “She’s definitely got her own opinion. She’s a feisty solo artist and I like that.”

The singer/songwriter wrote a song with the same title back in 1995 but with different music and lyrics. So what does she have to bitch about? Jill said in an interview ?As a musician I have always refrained from criticizing another artist. I was, ‘Well, good for her.’ It did bug me a little bit, however, when she said she came up with the idea for the title in a dream. In truth, she wrote it with a team of professional writers and was signed by the very same guy that signed me in 1995. I have not mentioned that in interviews as I don’t want to sound bitter or petty, because that’s not me?Okay, maybe, if I really think about it, there were a few jealous and pissed off moments.? Leighton Meester hit up the Katy Perry Concert at New York City?s Hammerstein Ballroom last week. The 23-year old ?Gossip Girl? actress, who was accompanied by her younger brother Lex and boyfriend Sebastian Stan, arrived late to the concert because she had to work. She had actually arrived just in time for the last three songs. Leighton only stayed backstage though. The Jonas Brothers were recently on the BBC Radio 1?s Live Lounge and they completely destroyed Katy Perry?s beautiful ballad ?Thinking of You?. It was utterly painful to listen to. How can they do this? Do they hate Katy? The brothers? rendition of the song featured violins, guitars and poorly placed harmonies. Here?s to hoping that Katy doesn?t hear their version or she might go on a rampage. They totally took everything that was good in the song and threw it all away. The emotion was completely lost. And that was what made the song work in the first place!
Due to the Jesusita Fire that kept burning in the Santa Barbara area last week, Katy Perry postponed her concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl this past weekend. The show has been rescheduled for August 30th. In a statement, the singer said ?What’s most important right now is fighting the fires that threaten my hometown and saving Santa Barbara. Naturally, I am very upset but I understand the circumstances and am counting down the days when we can all be back at the Bowl to celebrate Santa Barbara and experience ?The Hello Katy Tour? Grand Finale! My prayers are with you Santa Barbara.? All tickets for the May 9th concert will be honored for the new date.

Rihanna and Katy were also seen hanging out on the beach. I wonder what it would be like to have these three very talented singers collaborate on a song. I bet that it would be wonderful. The international chart topper is set to embark on her first ever tour next year. The singer?s tour will kick off on January 23 at Showbox at the Market in Seattle, Washington and will wrap up on April 28 at Jannus Landing in St. Petersburg, Florida. Her four month tour will take her all over the US, Canada and even Europe. Just add a few dates in Asia and she would have had not just her first tour but her first ever world tour.
