It’s probably that time of the life, isn’t it? It seems that Billy Idol has made the monumental decision of writing an autobiography. It will be entitled “Dancing With Myself” and the singer has promised not to leave out any of the spicy and rather unheard details. It is set to be out in a year or two, probably depending on how much time Billy Idol can rip out of his very busy schedule to get working on this. Has Billy Idol really reached that point in his career where there is nothing more to squeeze out of it but an autobiography?
Apparently Vince Neil from Motley Crue has recently been arrested in Las Vegas under suspicion of a DUI. This is not a new thing for Vince Neil it would appear so the police have him under bail and the amount of bail set for him is a mere two thousand dollars. Just two grand? This is Vince Neil from Motley Crue, not some get-lucky jingle writer out on a night in Vegas in his expensive car. That’s probably why nobody’s hurrying to bail the man out… it’s a protest. He deserves so much more for his great work in the past… the police should know that more than anyone else.
Even though they were on the verge of breaking up some time ago, it seems that the tour the guys from Aerosmith have planned is still on the roll and in addition to their European dates, the band is planning a few American shows as well. This is what their still acting front man, Steven Tyler, had to say on the matter: “We’re gonna rock you into the middle of next week!’’ Interesting… Aerosmith concerts in the middle of the week… some might take a dim view of that, but hey, every lame-ass rock band concerts in the week-end. Aerosmith are just being their special selves.
It’s going to be just a little show in little casino Mississippi, but who’s to say he won’t be going on tour too? After all, if Bret Michaels can do a show, why not 5 or 6 or 10? However, his doctor doesn’t really consider that Bret Michaels is truly ready to get back on stage and this is what he said about the show: “Bret will be slower on stage … not a lot of dancing and will take it easy.” Surely everyone will be happy to see the Poison singer back on stage and his managers might just get a sound night of sleep knowing it as well. It’s the first step to a full recovery.
It seems that the rocker recently admitted to lending a helping hand for Madonna when she was facing extreme pressure regarding the adoption of Mercy James and needed a place to lay low. That place turned out to be Lenny Kravitz?s French mansion as the singer himself relates: “It has been tough for Madonna. But she’s doing good. She’s been staying in my place in France while it was going on. I’m glad it’s worked out.” Indeed, what more inconspicuous place to hide from the media than a French mansion? especially one that belongs to Lenny Kravitz. Really, what was the catch? Was the mansion haunted? Abandoned? How come Madonna actually managed to find peace there?
The bassist from Pearl Jam, Jeff Ament, had a bit of a bad experience in changing the ownership of currency. He and a certain Mark Anthony Smith were attacked and robbed outside a studio in Atlanta where Pearl Jam is supposedly recording a new album. Apparently there were three assailants that stole 7000 dollars? worth in money and equipment. The two were attacked when arriving in a jeep at the studio? Jeff Ament apparently tried to run, but was intercepted with great hostility. What kind of a bassist is he anyway? He should?ve been hardcore, he should?ve used his instrument as a hand to hand weapon? after all, a bass guitar does pack quite a wallop.
The American Idol contestant blew away with his performance yet again. For last evening he went with ?Cryin?? by Aerosmith and his vocal coverage was supposedly excellent? but the band didn?t quite perform up to the singer. Still, the reactions were no less than what was expected. Randy Jackson himself said this about Adam Lambert?s performance: “You should be a rock star! That’s who you are, baby!” It looks like Simon Cowell?s statement is slowly becoming a reality? Adam Lambert has apparently dodged the oncoming bullet once more? gee, what a surprise! Still, there is also tonight to be considered? who knows, the show may yet hold more surprises.
