Dave Grohl Slams Glee

Ξ March 21st, 2011 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Foo Fighters, Glee |

Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl has decided to jump on the anti-“Glee” train while promoting his band’s new documentary “Back and Forth” at the SXSW festival. The rock star said “It’s every band’s right, you shouldn’t have to do fucking Glee. And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we’re not, like, begging to be on his fucking show… fuck that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee. I watched 10 minutes. It’s not my thing. The Glee guy, what a fucking jerk. Slash was the first one. He wanted to do Guns ‘n’ Roses and Slash is like, ‘I hate fucking musicals. It’s worse than Grease.’ Then [Murphy's] like, ‘Well, of course he’d say that, he’s a washed up old’ rock star, that’s what they fucking do.’ And then Kings of Leon say, ‘No, we don’t want to be on your show.’ And then he’s like, ‘Snotty little assholes…’ And it’s just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included.” To each their own I guess. It’s their music after all.

Guns n’ Roses frontman Axl Rose reportedly claimed the band’s new tour was cancelled – but it turned out to be a Twitter hoax.

The 48-year-old lead vocalist had a message posted on his Twitter page, according to NME, on August 15 claiming that the tour was off.

The post said: “All upcoming Guns N’ Roses dates are officially cancelled. Please contact your place of purchase for any refunds.”

Fan sites said at the time that they believed it was a hoax and that the page could have been hacked.

A band spokesperson later confirmed that the claim was a hoax and Axl Rose’s Twitter account had been hacked.

Riot for Guns N Roses

After cancelling a private show in Brazil at the last minute, Guns N Roses had a big problem on their hands. The band was due to play in front of an exclusive crowd, which included supermodel Ana Beatriz Barros at the Sao Paulo club, but when it was announced that the concert had been cancelled, the crowd went nuts! A source said ?The audience got angry and started to mount the stage, and fight and destroy everything. It was wild. There were fights everywhere, on the dance floor, in the bathrooms, outside the club. Crazy. I guess the free drinks didn’t help.? I wonder if they have the balls to reschedule.

Slash Destroys Paradise City

Ξ March 12th, 2010 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Fergie, Guns N' Roses |

If you want to know what the auditory version of hell would be like, I dare you to attempt to listen to Slash?s remake of the classic Guns N Roses song ?Paradise City?. The top hat-wearing guitar man tapped singers Cypress Hill and Fergie to join him on the song and the result couldn?t be any farther from paradise. I?m pretty sure that a lot of the band?s fans will be outraged by this. What would even possess him to touch that song? Just because he was part of Guns N Roses before doesn?t mean he?s entitled to. Axl Rose must be fuming at this.

Axl Rose Parties Like a Rock Star

Ξ March 7th, 2010 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Guns N' Roses |

Guns N Roses lead singer Axl Rose must be on a mission to destroy New York City because ever since his arrival on February 11, the rock star has reportedly gone out and partied his face off until 8am every morning. He seems to be doing alright though because as far as anyone?s concerned, he?s just showing the younger guys what it truly means to be a rock star. Nur Khan of NYC?s Rose Bar said ?He works hard on the road, so who cares if he wants to blow off some steam when he?s off duty? What?s the fuss? He?s havin? a good time. God bless him.?

Justin Timberlake?s Metallica Connection

The woman accused of stalking Justin Timberlake has also once stalked Guns N Roses lead singer Axl Rose. But the two singers aren?t her only victims. Alleged stalker Karen McNeil has also been banned from getting anywhere close to the members of Metallica, when the band got a restraining order against her back in March. The documents were filed in LA County Superior Court by drummer Lars Ulrich, who requested that the crazy woman stay at least 150 yards away from all members of the band, their families and the people who run the Metallica fan club. Talk about being a professional stalker!

Justin Timberlake and Axl Rose Connection

The woman accused of stalking Justin Timberlake has a Guns N Roses connection. Apparently, a judge had already banned the woman from getting near the band?s lead singer Axl Rose. Karen McNeil, who Justin calls an ?obsessed mentally unstable celebrity stalker?, was already sentenced to a year in jail after repeatedly disobeying a court order banning her from coming within 300 yards of Axl?s property. At the time, she told officials that she was Axl?s wife and communicated with him telepathically. Say what? The hounding didn?t stop with jail time though as the woman reportedly continued to send Axl letters from behind bars. Crazy!

Slash Mentor?s American Idol

Ξ May 6th, 2009 | → 0 Comments | ∇ American Idol, Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver |

Legendary Guns N Roses lead guitarist Slash was the guide for the American Idol Top 4 through all things rock and roll. The rock star has sold 100 million albums and earned 7 Grammy nominations for his various projects. He?s currently working on a solo album and an album with his current band Velvet Revolver. Interestingly enough, I don?t think I?ve even heard Slash carry a tune. But then again, he?s seen a lot of singers in his time in the industry and he actually provided some very good feedback for the remaining contestants. What would have made the whole thing better was if he rocked out on stage with them when they performed.

Axl?s Fears

Ξ December 16th, 2008 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Album Release, Guns N' Roses |

Reports are circulating that Guns N Roses front man Axl Rose is suffering from a case of anthropophobia. In simpler terms, it means that he?s afraid of people. He?s most likely done the nasty with a lot of groupies and they say he?s afraid of people. Right. Insiders are saying that the fear has gotten really bad. With the release of ?Chinese Democracy?, you?d think that Axl would be promoting it but that?s not the case. A source said that Axl ?has fired his management company, Front Line, three times in four weeks. He hasn’t left his Los Angeles home in two months. He won’t give interviews, won’t do talk shows, or perform – which makes touring or promoting very difficult, obviously.?

New Guns N’ Roses song

Ξ October 29th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Album Release, Guns N' Roses, Songs |

One of the most highly anticipated albums in rock history, the long-awaited Chinese Democracy (Black Frog/Geffen Records) will be available globally on November 23 on CD and vinyl (accompanied by a free digital download of the tracks), and as a separate digital album.

Produced by Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo, Chinese Democracy includes 14 tracks. The title track and first single from the album, ?Chinese Democracy?, was released to radio at 5:00AM eastern time today. Two of the recordings have been recently released–?Shackler?s Revenge? debuted September 14 in the ?Rock Band 2? videogame and ?If The World? debuted October 11 in the film Body Of Lies.

?The release of Chinese Democracy marks a historic moment in rock ?n? roll,? said Irving Azoff and Andy Gould, Guns N? Roses? co-managers, ?and we?re launching with a monumental campaign that matches the groundbreaking sound of the album itself. Guns N? Roses fans have every reason to celebrate, for this is only the beginning.?
