New Video from J Cole – Work Out

Ξ August 17th, 2011 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Music, New Single, Video |

J Cole has finally premiered the music video for his single “Work Out”. The track is the official lead single from the Roc Nation rapper’s debut album “Cole World: The Sideline Story”, which is set to hit US stores on September 27. The video was shot in Los Angeles back in June but it seems that the Germany-born artist didn’t like the first edit because he went to re-shoot some scenes in New York City. The video is pretty cool. It sees J Cole on a basketball court playing a game when he spots a fine lady, they flirt and they bond and they have a great night at a club. It’s nothing groundbreaking but it served its purpose well enough.

Pete Doherty Sings Nazi Song

Ξ December 3rd, 2009 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Pete Doherty, singer |

Perennial douche bag Pete Doherty has a gift for coming up with so many creative ways to be a dipshit. The rock singer was quite the surprise guest while performing solo at the on3 music festival in Munich this past weekend. Just when we hadn?t heard of anything bad from him in a while, the guy decided to sing a Nazi anthem in Germany. Pete sang the first verse of ?Deutschlandlied?, a part of the song that has not been sung since WWII. It translates to ?Germany, Germany above anything, above everything in the world.? The crowd began to boo but he sang five more songs before organizers escorted him off stage.

U2 for Free

If you missed watching U2?s live concert on YouTube, there?s another chance for you to see them for free in Berlin. Bono and the rest of the band will be belting out their music at no cost on November 5th to celebrate the 20 years since the falling of the Berlin Wall, which ended separation between east and west Germany. I thought that they were looking to get some profits off of their concerts. Why the heck to they keep doing free gigs? Oh well, it?s not like they need the money anyway. I?m sure a lot of their fans are enjoying all the freebies.

Tokio Hotel Drummer Assaulted

Tokio Hotel drummer Gustav Schaefer found himself in the hospital on Sunday night after a bar brawl at The Club in Magdeburg, Germany. Reports are saying that a man began insulting the musician which led to a fight that ultimately ended with Gustav being smashed on the head repeatedly with a couple of beer bottles. The rocker was rushed to the hospital to treat his wounds, one of which was a 3-centimeter gash on the back of Gustav?s head from the broken glass. The group?s manager released a statement regarding the matter saying ?Gustav was admitted to the hospital emergency room around 4.30am. The cuts on his head were stitched up immediately.? Gustav has all intention to press charges.

Depeche Mode Singer Undergoes Surgery

Ξ June 1st, 2009 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Concert, Depeche Mode |

In a MySpace bulletin, Depeche Mode has just revealed the real reason for the interruption in their Tour of the Universe. Earlier this month, lead singer Dave Gahan was hospitalized with a bad case of gastroenteritis which led to the discovery of a low-grade malignant tumor in his bladder. Fortunately, the tumor has been successfully removed but the singer has been given doctor?s orders to rest up until the band resumes its tour on June 8th in Leipzig, Germany. I?m glad to head that everything turned out to be ok. I wish Dave a speedy recovery and that he be in full health once the tour starts up again.
