“Glee” actor Cory Monteith is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Parade magazine, which is out this Sunday. The 29-year old star told the magazine that by the age of 13, he was skipping school to drink and do drugs. Cory went to rehab at the age of 19 and was given an ultimatum by his family to get clean or be sent to jail. Cory said “I was done fighting myself. I finally said, ‘I’m gonna start looking at my life and figure out why I’m doing this.’ I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too. But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can.”

Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood has said he was once so addicted to drugs he smoked pieces of a meringue thinking it was crack cocaine. Back in the 1980s, the legendary hell-raising guitarist was hooked on various illegal drugs as well as alcohol. He told Britain’s News of the World newspaper: “It got to the point where I would be on my hands and knees looking for crumbs that might have fallen out of the crack pipe. “I even banned my children from eating meringues in the house after I ended up smoking sugar, believing it to be cocaine.”
It seems like the honeymoon is over for TI and his wife Tameka Tiny Cottle. The couple was arrested late Wednesday night for possession of a controlled substance. The rapper and his former singer wife got in trouble during a traffic stop when cops smelled marijuana coming from their car. This could be very bad news for TI who is currently on a three-year probation after being charged and jailed in 2008 for unlawfully possessing firearms as a convicted felon. He needs to get his act together. It seems like it was just a short while ago since he was released on his weapons charges and now he may have to go back into the slammer for drugs.
Police reportedly investigated two of Bret Michaels tour buses earlier this week and discovered not only pot, but also several other illegal drugs that are classified as Schedule II controlled substances. The rock singer was apparently not on the bus with the illegal drugs and no arrests were made. It couldnt have been that much if no one was arrested but Id like to think that Bret would be smarter than that to get into that stuff after everything hes been through. He should really be laying off that stuff after all the health scares that hes had just this past year.
Sir Elton John has said he didn’t fall in love until he was 43 because of his previous wild lifestyle.
The Rocket Man, now 63, married his partner David Furnish in a ceremony five years ago and said he finally grew up when he left the drink and drugs behind.
He said to UK newspaper Daily Mirror: “My greatest achievement in life was getting sober and clean because I was a real mess. That happened in 1990.
“I don’t know how I kept my career going with my drug consumption, but I did because I loved to work. If I hadn’t worked, I’d probably be dead.”
Jimmy The Rev Sullivan, the 28-year old drummer for Avenged Sevenfold was found unresponsive in his Huntington Beach home at the end of December. Police said that the death appeared to be of natural causes but toxicology reports that recently came in say otherwise. It turns out that the rock star passed away from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs and alcohol. The report said that he suffered an acute polydrug intoxication due to combined effects of Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Diazepam/Nordiazepam and ethanol. The bands manager, Larry Jacobson, talked about Jimmy in a recent interview with Rolling Stone saying To all of us who loved Jimmy, the only thing relevant about December 28 is that is the night we lost, too soon, a son, brother, friend and one of the most talented artists in the world. Every day, his parents and sisters, and his brothers in Avenged Sevenfold smile at the many memories they have of Jimmy and his fans around the world revel in the musical legacy he left them.
Natalie Mejia from the Pussycat Dolls reality show and so-called band Girlicious has pled not guilty to one felony count of drug possession, following her cocaine bust in Glendale, California last month. The singer was arrested on March 10 after cops say she had over a dozen bags of cocaine in her Gucci purse. How does she explain having that in her bag then? Natalie had been a passenger in a car that was pulled over for speeding when cops noticed the alleged stash of drugs. Unless the bag doesn?t actually belong to her or it got switched, I doubt she?ll get out of this one. She is due back in court on April 28.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has checked into a rehab clinic for pain management and an addiction to prescription painkillers.
The 61-year-old singer, who developed an addiction to the lethal pills after performing for 10 years with crippling injuries, released his own statement Tuesday.
It said: “With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford.
“I love Aerosmith; I love performing as the lead singer in Aerosmith. I am grateful for all of the support and love I am receiving and am committed to getting things taken care of.”
The hell-raising star has suffered with orthopedic injuries for the best part of a decade that leave him in “severe chronic pain” and will require surgeries on his knees and feet, revealed Dr Brian McKeon.
“Managing and controlling his pain has been challenging, and despite our use of alternative therapies and the creation of custom shoes built by a team of engineers from Timberland, Steven’s pain has progressed,” Dr McKeon said.
“The balance between managing his pain and avoiding addiction is tenuous and difficult and his bravery in persevering through rigorous touring is admirable.”
Aerosmith were on the brink of splitting after Tyler’s bandmates expressed their concern for his well-being after he fell off a stage and broke his shoulder back in August.
The rapper recently shared one more of those pieces of info of which you wonder about getting him into legal trouble or not. It seems 50 Cent was a drug dealer back when he was twelve years old? but wait, that?s not all of it! 50 Cent explained why he was forced to get into such a dangerous line of work: “I sold drugs and I was in a situation where there weren’t many options available to me ? I was so young that working wasn’t an option so that’s when I was dealing, when I was 12.” That?s really cute, but shouldn?t he have kept that to himself? He can afford to lose ?a few million? in a recession now, why should he share his childhood drama? Where?s the gain? except for some serious legal issues.
Recently, an unheard interview with John Lennon has surfaced which featured the former Beatles band member putting his supposed comrades on blast. When questioned about the interview, Paul McCartney insists that it was probably drugs that made John speak ill of him, as well as recall that John often didn?t mean half of the things he said. Paul said ?John said so much crap that he later said he hadn’t meant. It’s bullshit. We were there. We all enjoyed it. I never really criticised John. I’m not that critical. It’s a question of personalities?Whatever bad things John said about me, he would also slip his glasses down to the end of his nose and say, ‘I love you’. That’s really what I hold on to. That’s what I believe. The rest is showing off.?
Troubled Michael Jackson took Demerol so often he had a pet name for the injections – calling them “health tonic”.
The superstar previously stunned fans when it emerged he would drink wine from coke cans and playfully called it “Jesus Juice”.
Now insiders insist he also had similarly playful names for the cocktails of prescription medications that many fear may have been behind his shocking death.
TMZ.com also quoted sources as saying that Jackson had injected Demerol shortly before his cardiac arrest.
The website added: “He would have a doctor inject him because, we’re told, he didn’t like needles.
“Our sources have told us Jackson was injected with Demerol at 11:30 AM the day he died.
“Shortly thereafter Jackson went into cardiac arrest.”
