The model whose hair went up in flames at a party thrown by Diddy earlier this month got a pretty good Christmas gift courtesy of the rap mogul as the rapper has offered to pay whatever it takes to repair the damage. Miyoki Jones recently became a human torch when she got too close to a candle at Diddy’s album release party and the fiery event was seen by millions on his Ustream. According to a source close to the model, Diddy called her up shortly after the incident to see how she was doing and then offered to foot the bill for her hair repair, no matter what the cost. Miyoki has reportedly already set up an appointment and the work is expected to run Diddy around a thousand bucks.
Chris Brown’s new mix tape “In My Zone 2” is now available for free download online. The R&B singer released the new set online on Black Friday. The mix tape includes 19 new songs and new collaborations with the likes of Gucci Mane, Petey Pablo, Big Sean, Kevin McCall and more. Chris also wanted to gives fans an early Christmas gift by recording a tune called “Christmas Came Today”. I’m really enjoying the mix tape and it’s well worth the time it takes for all of the songs to download. If you’re a fan of Chris’, it’s the perfect way for you to be reminded as to why you became a fan while you wait for his new studio album “FAME” which comes out next year.
It seems that there are still some undisclosed things to her pregnancy that Mariah Carey has yet to willingly reveal… but she might have done it by accident. While recently relating about singing Christmas songs to her unborn offspring, Mariah Carey let slip the following line: “I just hope that they don’t turn out hating Christmas!” Well, well… it seems that Mariah Carey might have her hands twice as full as she initially thought… or, who knows, maybe even thrice as full. It looks like it’s going to be a long winter for the Careys… poor Nick Cannon, he might be getting more than he can handle.
It really is a drag when you’re from Australia and celebrate Christians with the Christians because it never snows down there when it is supposed to. Kylie Minogue is apparently in the same predicament, but this year she’s going to be spending the holidays at New York and she’s hoping for the best. This is what Kylie Minogue said on the matter: “I think it’s kind of ironic that I’m singing ‘Let It Snow’ being an Australian – we don’t have snow at Christmas time. So if in fact it does snow whilst I’m in New York this year, I’ll be like a five year old kid, I’ll be so excited. It’s always a big thrill for me to be on the side of the world where it’s a white Christmas.” Who knows, maybe even Santa Claus will drop in for a visit… after all, everyone knows he rarely travels as far south as Australia.

Mariah Carey has found herself on top of the charts – granted it’s Billboard’s new Holiday Digital Songs chart but I’m still happy for her. The pop singer’s first single from her new Christmas album ‘Merry Christmas II You’ is the number 1 song on the new chart. Ironically, the number 2 song is her classic ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’. I don’t think any Christmas song will ever surpass that one in overall numbers but here’s hoping that the new album comes close. Congratulations to Mariah for finally getting another hit. It’s been a while hasn’t it? I bet she’s happy.
After inviting The 4Troops, a singing group of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, to join Jessica Simpson onstage for her PBS Christmas special in New York City this past Thursday, the vets ended up getting snubbed because of their wardrobe. A source said “Jessica’s dad, Joe Simpson, effectively kicked them off the show because he didn’t like what they were wearing. They were in camo pants and blazers, the same outfits they wore to sing for Gen. David Petraeus on the USS Intrepid. They were told they couldn’t perform unless they were wearing tuxedos.” She should be ashamed of herself! But the failed country singer and actress told a different story. Jessica’s rep said “The song was cut due to time. Jessica wasn’t even aware. She is wholeheartedly devoted to the troops. She just returned from the Persian Gulf where she performed for and met with service men and women stationed at several different locations. The military was the source of inspiration for her entire Christmas album, so much so that she recorded a duet for the album with a USS Harry Truman sailor.” Whatever.

Earlier this week, Kanye West has promised to release new music each week until Christmas for his fans. The 33-year old rapper went on Twitter to say “I know yall need the music so I’m dropping 1 new song every weekend until Xmas. It may be my song it may be a new Jay song etc… I’m calling it good Fridays. Yall know every Friday yall gone have a new joint from our family. We look at the game completely different now. It’s about the fans. No more holding back. That’s why I dropped see me now… It wasn’t about me it was about the Summer the BBQs etc…”
Carey announced that she wants to release a new Christmas album, after its predecessor, which contained Christmas songs, released in 1994, and became among the most sold discs. The album is scheduled for early November and will include six new songs and a remix of the hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”. Singer would like to join the American Idol judges in the near future. “She is one of the greatest singers of our time, she would fit perfectly. I do not know if she has enough free time, but if she could make a deal with the producers on a program, I know she would be very pleased to participate in this program, “said singer’s husband Nick Cannon.
There is a rumor circulating around the internet today that Mariah Carey is pregnant!?
The music business has not been kind to Mariah Carey in the past year. After two push backs and a dismal first release of a studio album last year, the singer?s remix album ?Angels Advocate? has been cancelled only a month away from its release date. A statement from her people confirmed the news but they didn?t say why it has been cancelled. In the meantime, reps for the singer say that she is looking to the future and is in the early stage of constructing a brand new album and maybe even a Christmas album. I say she should just quit when she?s ahead.
Coldplay is on its way back. According to lead singer Chris Martin, the band hopes to release a new album in 2010 ? hopefully near Christmas. They are currently at work in their secret studio in London which is said to be a converted church. No tracks will end up getting leaked this time as Chris said ?There’s only two people in the whole building who know how to open all the recording files. Even we [Coldplay] don’t know how to do it. We couldn’t even steal our own music at the moment. You would have to be a computer genius and a great burglar to get into the building, and download it, and mix it.?
Usher is claiming that his car was robbed in Atlanta last month and $1 million worth of jewelry was taken as well as $50,000 in furs and a computer. The R&B singer and one of his friends were in the AT&T store when someone broke into his car and made off with what was supposed to be Christmas gifts. Usher is particularly worried because of the tracks found on the computer that haven?t been made public yet. If they were that valuable, why would you leave it in your car anyway? I don?t care if it?s locked, unlocked or had a full entourage guarding it, leaving them there was just plain stupid.
Bob Dylan recently made a surprise announcement that he would be releasing a Christmas album this month called ?Christmas in the Heart?. Well, he?s certainly turning more corporate that the olden days. What?s even more unbelievable is that there is an actual major corporate tie into the album from a bank. Citibank will reward 13 million customers by making the album available for download a week before it goes on sale, October 13th. Times are definitely changing for the singer. I bet that all of his old friends are either rolling in their graves or raising quizzical eyebrows at him.
