Kevin McCall and Chris Brown just love working together. The two R&B singers have made some hot records together. They managed to score a top 20 US hit with “Deuces” so it shouldn’t be a surprise to find out that they were putting out a new collaboration to continue with the winning streak. A new track called “Hard to Get” appears on the recently released deluxe edition of Kevin’s latest mix tape “The Eargazm”. In my opinion, this might be the end of their streak. The song just sounds okay to me. I don’t like that it sounds so pop when I was looking forward to a hot R&B track.
Chris Brown showed off some acrobatic moves while performing during the 2011 MTV VMAs at Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles this past Sunday. The 22-year old R&B singer started off the dance medley with “Yeah 3x” and ended with “Beautiful People”. He did all this while he soared in the air with two of his backup dancers. It was a spectacular performance and I wasn’t at all surprised when he got a standing ovation, including ones from Kanye West and Justin Bieber. Chris later took to his Twitter, saying “Thx to all my fans who showed support tonight! Had a blast! Congrats to all the winners!!!! Be safe tonight! Love you!”

It has been confirmed that Justin Bieber is scheduled to make an appearance at the BET Awards. How could the most popular act in the music business not make an appearance at the annual hip hop and R&B award show anyway? Note my sarcasm. The 17-year old pop, I reiterate, pop singer joins a list of other artists including Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Kelly Rowland, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, DJ Khaled and Jill Scott. If Chris Brown is performing, I’m willing to bet that Justin will perform alongside him with their collaboration “Next 2 You”.
Here’s another bonus track from Chris Brown’s latest album “FAME”. The Timbaland-produced “Talk Ya Ear Off” is an exclusive on the Japanese edition of the R&B singer’s fourth studio album, which was released two weeks later than other countries, earlier this week. I have yet to come across a Timbaland production that I didn’t like or grow to like. This is one hot production. Grab your headphones and bop along. However, I do think Chris’ voice sounds a bit funny in this one. In any case, it’s an overall good track. I actually think it should have made the US cut.

British rapper Chipmunk has chosen the track “In the Air”, his duet with R&B singer Keri Hilson, as the official second single from his upcoming studio album “Transition”, which will be available in UK stores on April 18th. It’s a nice collaboration. Keri’s part on the song is catchy and her vocals are super sweet. Chipmunk also kills it in his verses, showing some good energy. With it’s feel-good mid tempo, it’s a winner to me. Let’s see if Keri can help Chipmunk gain his first number 1. His previous single “Champion” which featured Chris Brown peaked at #2 on the UK charts.

The singer who has supposedly been doing exemplary with his probation is apparently trying to push his luck a bit. So Chris Brown has tried asking a judge to modify his restraining order a bit so that he might be able to attend the Grammys even though Rihanna is going to be there. However Chris Brown’s representative, Tammy Brook, has stated otherwise: “This court date and the lifting of the restraining order is part of the planned ongoing legal proceedings. The date was scheduled months ago. Chris Brown is very thankful for his Grammy nominations, but due to scheduling conflicts, he will not be attending the Grammys.” Maybe Chris Brown should actually get the chance to go to the Grammys. After all, resolving his conflict with Rihanna won’t ever happen without a bit of contact at least… and he can prove that the courses he has graduated were not in vain.
Chris Brown released a song this past Friday called Where Do We Go from Here via his official Twitter. The Jim Jonsin-produced track features rapper Pitbull. All I can say about it is that I absolutely love it! The song has an electro dance vibe that screams hit. Pitbull is actually in charge of the verses while Chris takes over for the choruses. Its a great effort that I hope to see on the R&B singers upcoming album FAME. However, it seems like its just a buzz record to increase the hype for Chris new music. I cant help but say thanks though for giving out such a great tune.

Raz B is lashing back at Chris Brown, insisting that their feud on Twitter was not about receiving attention but was about standing up for what he felt was right. In the wake of the 21-year old R&B singers apology, the B2K member has issued an apology of his own, saying I want to publicly apologize for my direct attacks done out of anger. This is now about taking the right approach, so not only my story can be heard, but so someone learns something valuable. As it was previously reported, Raz ignited the feud by tweeting comments about Chris assault on Rihanna. Chris reacted with a slew of racist and homophobic slurs with Raz firing back some slurs of his own. Raz continues Standing up for yourself does not mean yelling or victimizing others and I sincerely apologize for that. I was told that ‘you cant hear my message if Im screaming.’ As for the death threats his brother made towards Chris, Razs rep said Raz B cannot control his brother being protective over him.
Chris Brown recently went on Twitter to say that he and Justin Bieber will be releasing a new song together this weekend. The 21-year old R&B singer said ME and @justinbieber got a BANGER/SMASH record for all the fans out there at the top of the NEW YEAR!!! 2011. The teen pop sensation hinted at their collaboration back in October, before tweeting a video of himself covering Chris hit With You. Justin wrote Kinda hyped [right] now for a new single teamed up with one of my friends and an artist I used to sing covers of on YouTube. BIG RECORD. SMASH!! Its a good thing we only have a few days to wait for it.
Chris Brown has completed a court-ordered 52-week domestic violence course and proudly showed off the certificate of completion on his Twitter. He was ordered to take the class after pleading guilty to assault on his former girlfriend Rihanna. Chris also received five years probation and 180 days of community service. Along with the photo of the signed certificate, the R&B singer tweeted Im done with class. While a certificate of completing domestic violence class isnt something I would be proud of, I guess Chris has something to boast about since hes made a huge step towards progress. Kudos to Chris for sticking to the program.
Keri Hilsons album No Boys Allowed leaked in its entirety late last week. While its puzzling to most, I like that we got to finally listen to one of the most anticipated tracks on the R&B singers new LP her collaboration with Chris Brown called One Night Stand. Its a great song with both artists demonstrating some great vocal control and generating an amazing harmony in the chorus. I wouldnt be surprised if the song ended up as a single. One of the most anticipated tracks from TIs upcoming album No Mercy, which hits stores on December 7, has leaked onto the internet. The rappers song is actually a duet featuring Christina Aguilera called Castle Walls and it seems that it will serve as the new single from TIs seventh LP and the follow up to Get Back Up featuring Chris Brown. I absolutely love Castle Walls with the stripped back chorus that sounds so vulnerable in the middle of the harsh rap. Christina killed it with this one. I think we might be seeing the 29-year old singer back on top of the charts with this one. Maybe she could do a part 2 of this much like Rihanna has done with Love the Way You Lie.

Chris also wanted to gives fans an early Christmas gift by recording a tune called Christmas Came Today. Im really enjoying the mix tape and its well worth the time it takes for all of the songs to download. It seems that the singer who managed to ruin his entire reputation with a bit of domestic violence against the wrong person now has a much better opinion of himself. This is what Chris Brown said recently: “Everything is good, I’m definitely – me personally and mentally – I’m a great guy now. I’m more of a person who is definitely more positive. I have new music coming real soon; I’m in the studio, back and forth, continuously, just having fun. I’m going to continue to make great dance videos and just be me.” Maybe he caught wind of that little story of Rihannas and realized that shes still not over him. That would probably be enough to make Chris Brown feel warm and cuddly inside.

Usher is getting ready to head out on the road for a tour. Starting in November, the R&B singer will tour North American and visit 25 cities to bring his music to his fans. The tour kicks off with a concert in Seattle, Washington on November 10 and will wrap up on December 18 in Hartford, Connecticut. Its good to note that while he was rumored to be going on tour with Usher at one point, Chris Brown will not be joining his fellow music artist. Who needs him anyway? Usher is having an amazing year and this tour could be just as epic.

The DJ played back the very short interview for fans, explain that before he could even ask the R&B singer a question, Chris started screaming about not getting enough airplay. The DJ said ?Chris Brown was going to come in today to do an interview to promote his concert? But before we could even get into the interview, homeboy starts yelling at me, wondering why we don’t play his records. And I said, Mr Chris Brown? you just don’t have any hits and that’s just the truth. You don’t have any hits right now.’ And? from there the whole interview just goes south.? Chris was heard screaming ?All I’m saying is that you don’t play my s**t. What number is it (my song) at? It don’t matter. Why am I even doing this interview? I ain’t doing this s**t.? It?s been said that the station was inundated with calls from Jive with each person apologizing for Chris? behavior.
Chris Brown is getting ready to celebrate his 21st birthday this May and is planning a huge party for it. However, the R&B singer has a problem on his hand as nobody wants to host it. Chris has been scouting for clubs all over the place, including New York, Miami and Las Vegas, but no one is giving him the ok to have his part at their venue. A source said ?(Some club promoters) don’t want to mess up their relationship, or their potential relationship, with Rihanna.? I can?t say I blame them. The Barbadian babe easily means more money for them as compared to Chris.

Chris Brown is literally begging his fans to keep him and his music relevant as the convicted woman beater is using a recorded audio message to spread his desperate plea. The R&B singer?s message is available through SayNow.com, a website in which celebrities can record messages for their fans. In the message, Chris begs his fans to help ?bring me back? saying that ?a lot of radio stations aren’t playing my records. They are not being that supportive and I wouldn’t expect them to.? He goes on to say that he?s ?a better guy now? but says ?[My music] won’t be possible if I’m not relevant on the radio.? Guess what Chris? No one cares.
And just when you thought it was all over, Rihanna still has even more to relate about her little incident with Chris Brown. Rightfully so, many gay activists and feminists are furious over the decision. A source at ABC said ?The network is giving a mixed message ? that it doesn’t trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault. Chris Brown’s interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage. It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna’s interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week.?

The music video director, Joseph Kahn, talked about it with MTV, saying ?The entire video for ?Crawl? was his idea. I?m talking every single idea in there is Chris?, and it?s pretty awesome. It?s an interesting video for me, because it?s so rare that music videos ever try to achieve anything emotional. With ?Crawl? you feel it in here [points to his heart]. Chris just basically told me a story of what he felt this video was going to be, with his heart glowing and how he?s, like, cold. It is a very personal story. But it?s told in such a graphic manner that I fell in love with the idea. It?s Chris? story. Period. I am the pencil that put it down on the paper.?

The two singers and former lovers both have spots on the Billboard Top 100 at the moment with the Barbadian babe?s collaboration with Jay-Z and Kanye West ?Run this Town? at number 7, and R&B douche at number 24 with ?I Can Transform Ya?. Some people aren?t surprised that fans are still buying Chris? albums, with one psychologist saying ?His fans will keep buying his albums because they want to feel like they are helping him. Supporting him through this tough time makes fans feel like they are a part of Brown’s inner circle.?
