Kat Deluna has recently premiered the music video for “Dancing Tonight”. The song is the new single from the singer’s “Inside Out” album and the song she has chosen to try and crack the US market again. As you may know, Kat released her album only in certain European countries last year. “Dancing Tonight” will be released this week on US iTunes. The video is out now and expect the her “Inside Out” CD to hit stores some time this Summer. I like the song but I don’t think it’s strong enough to be given the single treatment. The video was pretty cute though.

The full version of the unreleased 50 Cent track called Sunday Morning has finally arrived. A snippet of the song leaked back in late 2009. Then a DJ promised that he would be releasing the full song in May 2010 but it wasnt until last week that the song leaked in its entirety. The song is good and has a great vibe. The rapper kills it in the verses. The song was actually crafted during the recording sessions to 50 Cents fourth studio album Before I Self Destruct but it failed to make the final cut. Im not entirely sure why though because I think the song is great and definitely better than some of the music that did make its way into the CD.

Joey Lawrence is planning to release some new music and he wants everyone to know about it. He said It’s called Stuck with Me. It reminds of me of the theme of Friends. And I’m making a brand new record that will drop early next year. It is right there with the first Justin Timberlake CD. I haven’t done an album since 1997, but it sold six million copies and fans have always asked me for more. And I would not have waited this long and gone down this path again if I didn’t think we had something. Im not sure how the Friends theme and Justins first CD have any relationship but whatever. I dont think anyone even cares about Joey anyway.
Since the death of Michael Jackson, the King of Pops estate has generated a massive $783 million from CD sales, This is It theatrical and DVD releases, a 50 percent stake in the Sony/ATV catalogue as well as owning most of Mijac Publishing. I hope that the late singers kids are seeing that cash and that its not just going to paying off debts or legal fees and whatnot. Its been a year since Michael has passed yet he still has such a tremendous effect in the music industry. He just might end up as the pop equivalent to rock and rolls Elvis Presley.
Some of Lil Wayne?s fans have gotten quite the surprise in the mail. The rapper?s upcoming rock album ?Rebirth? was originally scheduled for release on December 15, but has since been pushed back to February 1. However, someone must have not gotten the memo as 500 or so fans who pre-ordered the album on Amazon were sent the CD in the mail this week. I?m expecting a full album leak to go down some time real soon. I wonder what those fans think of the new music that Lil Wayne is offering. Someone better get online and let us have a say too!
50 Cent stopped by The Tyra Show on the episode which aired this past Tuesday to talk about his new CD, book, movie and cologne. The 34-year old rapper shared what it was like to film a nude scene in his upcoming flick and revealed a wad of cash in his back pocket. The high roller said that he always carries around $25,000 in cash on him ?just in case something happens?. Something like what? An arrest that he may need to get bail for, maybe? He said ?I like to have cash on me because it feels like I have money.? Like his bank statements couldn?t tell him that!
On November 2 at 11 p.m. ET, Fuse, the national music network, will televise the worldwide premiere of Nirvana Live at Reading, the band’s legendary, never-before-released 1992 Reading concert. The show, marking the first time that Nirvana fans will experience the epochal August 30, 1992 headlining appearance at UK’s Reading Festival, will debut as an hour long broadcast the night before the limited edition 90 minute CD+DVD Deluxe Edition is by Geffen/UMe.
Featuring 25 songs including “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “All Apologies” and “Come As You Are,” Nirvana’s performance at Reading ranked No. 1 in Kerrang Magazine’s “100 Gigs That Shook The World” chart and was voted as “Nirvana’s No. 1 Greatest Moment” by fans in a recent NME poll.
“Fuse is excited to provide Nirvana fans with the first opportunity to witness this historic music event since the concert 17 years ago,” said David Weier, vice president, programming, Fuse. “Not only are we airing a highly anticipated, never-before-seen concert in more than 65 million homes, we are providing Nirvana’s loyal fan base with companion programming for a comprehensive and unique viewing experience.”
Leading up to the premiere of Nirvana Live at Reading, Fuse will air “Loaded: Nirvana,” a half-hour of Nirvana’s greatest music videos at 10 p.m. ET, followed by “Videos That Rocked the World: Smells Like Teen Spirit,” a celebration of the legendary music video which was a breakthrough for music, entertainment, culture and society.
While the show’s centerpiece was a performance of nearly the entire Nevermind tracklist, also noteworthy were early performances of three as yet unrecorded songs which wouldn’t be released until 2 years later on In Utero: “All Apologies,” “Dumb,” and in its first ever public performance, “Tourettes.” The career-spanning setlist also reached back to the band’s 1989 Sub Pop debut album, Bleach, for “Blew,” “About A Girl,” “School,” “Negative Creep” and first single “Love Buzz,” and even further back to the mid-’80s for “Spank Thru.” Other songs from the Reading set would appear in studio form on the Incesticide compilation later in the year: “Aneurysm,” “Been A Son” and “Sliver.” Additionally, the band played a pair of beloved covers by two bands that helped shape the formative Nirvana sound– “The Money Will Roll Right In” by Fang and “D-7″ by The Wipers.

Entertainment author and TV host Robin Leach recently posted a disturbing blog entry about Michael Jackson?s final days. According to Robin?s source, two nights before the sudden passing of the King of Pop, Michael was ?in a high state of stress and emotional drama, fearing that he would never be able to complete the 50-concert run in London, and it would kill him.? The singer was hoping that AEG would let him perform the concert as a ?one-night world spectacular? with simulcasts in theaters and arenas around the world as well as a subsequent CD and DVD release. AEG told Michael that the show must go on, even though the singer reportedly said at his last rehearsal ??We can’t go on. I’ll never make all 50. It will kill me.? With the rejection of his proposed plan, Michael became ?more stressed than he’d ever been in his life? and wrestled with insomnia. The source believes that this is what drove Michael to seek out the strong sedatives found in his home.
Coldplay wants to be nice to their fans and promote their live CD ?LeftRightLeftRightLeft? while they?re at it. For the rest of the band?s concerts this year, they will be giving away free live CDs to everyone who attends their shows, not including festivals. According the their website, starting with their first North American tour date on May 15th, ?every fan attending a show will be given a free copy of the nine-track CD, which won’t be available elsewhere.? Also on that date, the album will be available to download for free on their site. The free CDs are apparently meant as a ?recession-busting mark of gratitude to everyone who’s supported them.? Coldplay says ?Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans ? the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.?
