With only a pair of female hands covering up the rock star’s dirty bits, the 31-year old Maroon 5 lead singer stripped down to encourage men to check for signs of prostate and testicular cancer. The hot pictures of Adam are featured in the February 2011 issue of UK’s Cosmopolitan. Even if no one gets a glimpse of his dirty bits, it’s safe to assume that Adam’s girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, is one lucky girl just by looking at that hot body. I was really upset to find out last year that Beastie Boys rapper Adam ?MCA? Yauch was diagnosed with salivary gland tumor but I?m happy to report that he is now on his way to making a full recovery. Now that he?s well, the band is ready to start working on their new album ?Hot Sauce Committee, Part 1?, which was postponed indefinitely after Adam?s diagnosis. Adam said ?I feel better. It was touch and go there for a while, but I am finally getting my energy back. It was really disappointing to have to hold the record and postpone the tour, but doctor?s orders. We may or may not [release the album] depending on how my health is come September. We want to but we have to play it by ear? We finished the record over a year ago, so we want to take a look at it and re-evaluate and make sure it is what we want to put out there and that we are still happy with it. I don?t think we will change it up too much.?
It?s a pretty tough year for the Beastie Boys, considering that Adam ?MCA? Yauch was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer, so the band had to push back the release of ?The Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 1? and cancel their summer tour. However, the boys aren?t going to let their fans down as they have digitally re-released their 1998 album ?Hello Nasty? with loads of extras attached, including 21 bonus tracks of ?rarities and skits? from the Beasties. But if you?re willing to wait until October 30th, the physical re-release of the album will also include a limited edition 4-album vinyl release (only 1,500 copies total) that includes the digital download as well as an ?8 panel gatefold package, lenticular cover, and hardcover ?coffee table book? case.?
Lit?s drummer, 39-year old Allen Shellenberger recently passed away. The musician lost his battle with brain cancer. He was originally diagnosed back in May of 2008 with a Stage 4 malignant brain tumor. Unfortunately, it was inoperable, but Allen refused to give up and tried fighting the cancer via radiation treatments and chemotherapy. He played his last gig while on tour with Sugar Ray and Everclear last fall. Mark McGrath released a statement regarding his friend?s passing, saying ?Allen was a great drummer, but more importantly a great human being. His courage and positive outlook during his battle with cancer was an inspiration
Ean Evans, the bassist for Lynyrd Skynyrd, has passed away after a long battle with cancer. It?s the second death in the iconic band this year. In January, the former keyboardist Billy Powell, also passed away. In 1977, three band members of the storied group died in a plane crash. I wish condolences to all the loved ones that Ean Evans has left behind and I wish that he finally gets his peace. The music industry will never forget his contributions to his art. He will be deeply missed but their music will surely live on. May all the souls of the deceased band members rest in peace.
