Cher Lloyd has recently premiered the music video for her brand new single “With UR Love”. The Mike Posner-assisted track will officially be released in the UK on October 30th. The question now is if the pop singer can get her second UK #1 in a row. The week of her release will be a tough one though as she will be up against Jennifer Lopez, Sean Paul, Avril Lavigne, Beyonce and The Wanted’s new releases. As for the video, I think it’s adorable. Cher looks beautiful and the clip gives the song even more life. But I still think Cher sounds weird on it.
I’m not the biggest Beyonce fan but I have to say that she gave the performance of her life yesterday when the R&B singer closed down the 2011 Glastonbury Festival in England. She pretty much silenced critics who said she wasn’t suitable for the main headliner spot by delivering a high-energy, brilliant and emotional concert. Beyonce also became the first woman in over 20 years to headline the music festival and the first African-American female ever. She delivered an extensive set list that included hits from her back catalogue, a Destiny’s Child medley, some covers and new tracks from her latest album “4”. Check out some of her performances below.

It has been confirmed that Justin Bieber is scheduled to make an appearance at the BET Awards. How could the most popular act in the music business not make an appearance at the annual hip hop and R&B award show anyway? Note my sarcasm. The 17-year old pop, I reiterate, pop singer joins a list of other artists including Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Kelly Rowland, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, DJ Khaled and Jill Scott. If Chris Brown is performing, I’m willing to bet that Justin will perform alongside him with their collaboration “Next 2 You”.
Not because of her personality, mind you, but it looks like there were other factors that were beyond Beyonce’s control in making friends. This is what the singer said on the matter: ”Socially I did miss out. I left school at 14 and had a tutor. I was never exposed to people long enough to make friends so my family became my friends.” Well, she does indeed have her family now and given her success, Beyonce probably has a lot more friends than she can handle and even more on the way. Everybody probably wants to be friends with her now.
Beyonce is featured on the cover of the July issue of Dazed & Confused magazine. The summer music special features the 29-year old R&B singer/actress in what the magazine calls “a scorching hot trailer park fantasy”. When asked about taking her little time away from the music industry, Beyonce said “I needed some time to live. I’ve been signed to the same label since I was 12 years old and never had more than a month and a half off since I was 13. I’ve worked so hard for so many years and just felt like, ‘Well, why not?’” She definitely deserved that break but it’s also great to see and hear her new music.

It seems that the singer’s upcoming single was written by none other than Diane Warren. However, not only does Beyonce’s new song have such a prolific writer, but Diane Warren considers it her best to date. This is what she had to say about her newest creation: “I just wrote something a week and a half ago that Beyoncé recorded and I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever written. She sang it amazingly. I think it’s a career song and probably my favorite thing I’ve ever written … right now. I think it’s really, really going to touch people.” Well this is certainly good news, especially considering the fact that most of Beyonce’s latest releases haven’t exactly brought much pleasing feedback.
Next to take the American Idol stage was James Durbin, dressed in all black with lots of spikes and studs, performing with rock and roll legends Judas Priest on “Breaking the Law”. James was clearly having the time of his life. This whole performance screamed so much of an actual concert for me. There were some serious pyro going on and just an all out amazing performance. James even got a standing ovation from the judges. Why couldn’t he have been part of the top 2? It would have been a more exciting finale night if he was. Do you have something against pure rock stars America?

The rapper and highly successful business man has recently revealed how he managed to become the cool musical idol that he is today. This is what Jay-Z had to say on the matter: “I’m around great women, starting with my mom. Women keep men cool. The hotter the chick the cooler the guy… that sounds like a really bad rap line!” So Jay-Z is not only very subtly complimenting his mother on her good looks, but he’s also saying that if it weren’t for Beyonce, he’d still be stuck rapping away in some obscure studio. One can see the point that Jay-Z is trying to make here.
Now this is how you score popularity points. After performing for Libya’s Colonel Gaddafi on New Year’s Eve of 2009, Beyonce has apparently decided that the best thing to do with her earnings from that show would be to donate them to Haiti. This is what Beyonce’s publicist said on the matter: “All money paid to Beyonce for her performance at a private party at Nikki Beach St. Barts on New Year’s Eve 2009, including the commissions paid to her booking agency, were donated to the earthquake relief efforts for Haiti over a year ago. Once it became known that the third party promoter was linked to the Qaddafi family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause.” This is certainly going to give Beyonce an even better popular image… and it might even serve as a good example for some artists out there.
Lady GaGa and Britney Spears better not think that they’re the only ones left fighting for the throne of the pop queen… no sir. Beyonce is still in the game too and she’s coming up strong and sly with a new album that is almost ready. Singer Sia, with whom Beyonce apparently collaborated, say the following about this upcoming record: “So I just said to all the producers, writers, everyone, help me make this happen. Diplo e-mailed me and said, ‘Where are you in the world right now? Would you be interested in flying to New York? I’m writing with Beyoncé,’ and I was like, ‘Yesss!’. Well, there’s only one song left for this album, so I probably won’t get on this album, but hopefully the next one. That’s my dream, that’s my goal.” It’s so much more interesting when there are three parties in the game… Beyonce’s new album could not have arrived at a better time.
Willow Smith recently had a photo shoot and interview for the February 2011 issue of Vanity Fair magazine. The 10-year old pop singer talked about her budding music career and being able to work with rap mogul Jay-Z. She said “It is very cool, because Jay[-Z] really welcomes me and makes me feel like the record label is a place where I can have fun and talk about my career. He and his people make me feel like I’m a part of something. And I love Beyonce—she’s awesome!” I wonder if there’s a Willow-Beyonce collaboration somewhere in the near future.

Tina Knowles addressed the rumors that her daughter Beyonce was pregnant when she dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week. Tina is saying that theres no truth to it all. When asked if the R&B singer was pregnant, her mother said I heard that but I’m here to clear the rumors up. The truth is that’s it’s not Beyonc that’s pregnant. It’s me. I’m kidding y’all. I’m 56. No, no it’s not true. Not right now. I’m looking forward to it. With all the rumors, by now I should have five or six grandchildren. I guess we all have to wait for when the time is right.
Beyonce is back in the studio and getting ready to make her fourth album. According to producer Sean Garrett, the R&B singer is about to treat us with some serious dance and party music. He reveals I am going in the studio with Beyonc this week to work on her next record. I think we are doing a lot of up-tempo records for this one. Shes in such a good place right now in life that she is interested in making party music, definitely. While I love hearing her ballads, I think Beyonce really shines when shes making dance music.

Beyonce Knowles has taken the top spot in the Forbes Best-Paid Celebrities Under 30 list for the second year running.
The Single Ladies chart topper raked in approximately $87 million over a period of 12 months thanks to her expanding business empire. The 28-year-old also has endorsement deals with companies including L’Oreal and Nintendo and runs her growing fashion line House of Dereon.
Toxic singer Britney Spears came in at number two, having taken home $64 million, while Lady Gaga had an estimated $62 million haul.
Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift took the fourth and fifth spots respectively.

Not only does Amy Winehouse want children now, but it looks like Beyonce might already be expecting her first. This is the news that can be found on blogging site Mediatakeout: “According to our source Beyonce is doing fine and resting (for now), but she’s expected to continue working throughout her pregnancy. And we’re also told that Jay-Z is extremely happy to be having his first child with Beyonce.” The official representatives of Beyonce and Jay-Z of course are refusing to comment on all of this, but then again that?s only natural. It might all be a hoax, but you have to observe how much of a workaholic Beyonce is. She just has to catch up to Rihanna, doesn?t she?
There comes a time in a man?s life when all he wants to do is settle down and just have a family of his own? or at least day-dream a bit about doing that. It seems that time has come for 50 Cent and he decided he would like to share his thoughts with all of us. This is what he said abut the matter: “I would kiss Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Rihanna. I would marry Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Rihanna in Africa, I’d have 3 wives! And I would avoid wearing condoms and have really big families.” Such a great marketing scheme and 50 Cent wants to take it to Africa? Those are like the top three female pop artists? they probably make more in a month combined than 50 Cent does in a decade.
After speculation that Beyonce was getting songwriting credit where it wasn?t due, producer Rob Fusari is talking about how the R&B singer ripped off his idea for the Destiny?s Child track ?Bootylicious?. Rob talked to Mathew Knowles after he presented his idea about the song. Mathew said ?People don’t want to hear about Rob Fusari, producer from Livingston, N.J. No offense, but that’s not what sells records. What sells records is people believing that the artist is everything.? But that doesn?t mean that Beyonce has to take all of the credit. That?s some pretty shady work. What do you think?
Beyonce?s dad Mathew Knowles has been ordered to support his supposed mistress Alexsandra Wright?s son Nixon even before the paternity test takes place on March 1. A Los Angeles judge ordered the R&B singer?s dad/manager to pay $8200 a month dating back until February 1 as well as 100 percent of uninsured medical costs. I have this gut feeling that he is the dad of the newborn. Not only has Mathew not denied it but he also gave Alexsandra $10,000 back in January to cover other pregnancy costs. That should pretty much count as an admission that the kid is his.
Beyonce recently shot a guest spot in Alicia Keys? new music video ?Put it in a Love Song? in the Morro da Conceicao slum of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this past Tuesday. The song is from Alicia?s latest album ?The Element of Freedom?. Speaking of Beyonce, the R&B singer is also rumored to star in the remake of the classic ?A Star is Born?. Russell Crowe may play the aging, alcoholic musician who mentors and falls in love with Beyonce?s character. I?m all for the classics but I?m not sure about the remake of that movie. Beyonce is definitely no Barbra Streisand.
Beyonce says Jay-Z was “shocked” when she thanked him as her husband at the Grammy Awards.
The couple have tried to keep their marriage top-secret, but collecting her sixth Grammy of the night, Beyonce said: ?I’d love to thank my family for all their love and support, including my husband.?
After her speech, rapper Jay-Z could be seen in the audience making gestures with his hands to the star.
?He was shocked!? Beyonce said of the speech. ?He was just like, ?What did you say?’ I was just like, ?What did I just do? No, I didn’t just say that.?
Beyonce said the speech was completely on the spur of the moment and unplanned.
?I was so happy, I could’ve said anything,? she said. ?That’s why I ran off the stage.?
Beyonce made an amazing sweep at the 2010 Grammy Awards as the 28-year old powerhouse singer picked up a record six Grammy awards this past Sunday. That?s the most wins by a female in one night at the Grammys! She won Song of the Year for ?Single Ladies?, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for ?Halo?, Best Female R&B Performance for ?Single Ladies?, Best Traditional R&B Performance for ?At Last?, Best R&B Song for ?Single Ladies? and Best Contemporary R&B Album for ?I Am? Sasha Fierce?. Congratulations to Beyonce! I wonder where she?s going to put all of those Grammy awards.

In a recent interview with Seventeen magazine, Miley Cyrus talked about who she looks up to the most. The Disney star said that she really looks up to her fellow singer Beyonce. Miley said ?I want to be like Beyonce. She is the ultimate woman. You look at her and you don’t think, I wonder what her personal life is like. You look at her and you go, that girl on the stage is a superstar. You don’t care about anything else; you only care about her music. So I would hope that would be me in the future.? Considering the things that Miley does and what she wears, I highly doubt that it?s in her future.
