Kimberley Walsh Confirms Girls Aloud Reunion

Although it’s not definite yet, I’m encouraged to find out that Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh recently revealed in an interview that the British pop band will in fact reunite in 2012 for a new 10-year anniversary tour. Kimberley said “I’d like to do more acting, but, to be honest, being in the band has surpassed everything I ever dreamed of doing with my life. The girls will have been together for ten years next year and that’s definitely going to be celebrated with a tour. I can’t say any more until next year – but I’m really looking forward to it.” If that isn’t salivating information, I don’t know what is.

Jack White’s anniversary celebration

Ξ June 14th, 2011 | → 0 Comments | ∇ News, White Stripes |

One has to hand it to the White Stripes musician… probably after divorcing from his long-time wife and band mate, Meg White, Jack White sure seems to have a sense of humor about divorce. Now the singer is celebrating his anniversary with a divorce party in honor of the fact that he and his soon to be ex-wife, Karen Elson, are untying the knot. This is what the couple had to say about the event: “We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee. We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow. In honor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party. An evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family.” Now that’s a real amiable divorce… at least for now.

More Fluff and Filler for American Idol

The results show of American Idol bugs me as much as the song choices that the contestants made this week did. From the butchered opening performance to mics not being turned on at the right time, I was wishing it wasn’t a live show but rather a pre-recorded one. And then there’s the fluff of a Ford commercial, loads of fillers and the audience getting a free 10-year anniversary CD. Don’t even get me started on the contestant interview and Pia Toscano being censored for saying “shih tzu”. Another lame part had to be the St. Patrick’s Day lighting gag. Why are you doing this AI?
