If you’re an insomniac and your iTunes isn’t filled to the brim with Coldplay music, then you’re doing yourself a disservice. According to a Travelodge survey, the UK band is on top of the list of artists that helps people fall asleep. And just in case Coldplay isn’t enough for you, the rest of the top 10 are as follows: Michael Buble, Snow Patrol, Alicia Keys, Jack Johnson, Taylor Swift, Mozart, Barry White, Leona Lewis and Radiohead. How cool is it that Mozart managed to creep in between all those contemporary artists? Do these artists help you fall asleep or are there others that do the trick for you?

And very happy about it… and also getting married with the father. So far it all sounds like a fairy tale, doesn’t it? It seems Alicia Keys is expecting her very first child with producer Swizz Beatz with whom she will also be getting married later this year. This is what a representative of Alicia Keys said on the matter: ”They are very happy. Alicia is with the man who has inspired so much of her music and her album ‘The Element of Freedom’.” Things seem to be going so fabulous for her… something must go awry at some point. But until that point comes, there will be nothing left to do for Alicia Keys but rejoice. This might just be the beginning of a new brood.

Here?s an interesting principle that Alicia Keys has and that you might not find at too many artists. Apparently the singer doesn?t like recording a song that she wouldn?t be able to sing live. This is what Alicia Keys said on the matter: “I never use Auto-Tune, or anything like that. I won’t have that software in my life. I don’t mind others using it. But if I can’t sing on my own, then I’m not going to record it.” Well, at least some pop starts still have a bit of decency left in them? too bad for Alicia Keys that she?s part of this dwindling race.
Alicia Keys will be joining Shakira and The Black Eyed Peas in performing at the FIFA World Cup Kick Off Celebration Concert in June. The concert will take place in South Africa on June 10th to celebrate the start of the World Cup and up to 30,000 spectators are expected to attend. Former soccer player and festivities organizer Lucas Radebe said ?I believe these historic events will go a long way towards uniting the people of our rainbow nation in South Africa. Music and sports are the lifeblood of African culture, so to combine those in this historic event will be a true celebration of Africa.?
The singer recently decided to share with us all how content she feels about all the relationships she has had thus far? even though they have all run their courses as it seems. This is what Alicia Keys said on the matter:”I’ve never dated a ton of people, I’ve always been a one-guy kind of girl, but I have to say that I’ve always been lucky with love, blessed with it. Overall I haven’t had any terrible relationships – apart from a couple of little stupid ones when I was younger, but at that age you kinda can’t help it. But I’ve always had really great guys in my life, you know? They’ve been very stable men as well. I need a guy who is strong-minded, not intimidated by me – I don’t like those kind of guys.” For such a string of stable and strong-minded guys, it?s really strange none of them stuck around Alicia Keys long enough. That might tell you a bit about how the singer herself behaved in her relationships.
Beyonce recently shot a guest spot in Alicia Keys? new music video ?Put it in a Love Song? in the Morro da Conceicao slum of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this past Tuesday. The song is from Alicia?s latest album ?The Element of Freedom?. Speaking of Beyonce, the R&B singer is also rumored to star in the remake of the classic ?A Star is Born?. Russell Crowe may play the aging, alcoholic musician who mentors and falls in love with Beyonce?s character. I?m all for the classics but I?m not sure about the remake of that movie. Beyonce is definitely no Barbra Streisand.
Singer Alicia Keys and her producer boyfriend Swizz Beatz have been looking for a home to share for a couple of months now but it seems that they may have finally found the perfect place. A source said that the couple has reportedly had their eye on a multi-million dollar 3-bedroom penthouse across from Gracie Mansion in New York which they?ve toured four times already. The duplex has ?a fireplace, double-height ceilings, three bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and East River views?. Sounds pretty swanky! I wonder when the couple plans to move in. It?s always a big move for every relationship to move in together.
It has been announced that Lady Gaga will be taking the stage at this year?s American Music Awards on November 22. The pop singer joins other performing acts such as Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry and Adam Lambert. I hope that she performs ?Bad Romance?. I am really loving that song! With the addition of Lady Gaga?s performance, it is bound to be quite the entertaining show this year. She always has the ability to steal the show with her one of a kind performances and crazy outfits. Plus, you can bet that she?s going to nab several awards.
?Dancing with the Stars? dancer Julianne Hough and singer Jesse McCartney recently announced the nominees for the 2008 American Music Awards in Beverly Hills. Leading the pack with five nominations was songstress Alicia Keys. Other nominees included Chris Brown, the Jonas Brothers, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey and Coldplay. What, no Rihanna? No Katy Perry? It?s a travesty! Or maybe they?re in the complete list of nominees. You can see the complete list of nominees as well as vote at amavote.com. The 2008 American Music Awards will be broadcast on Sunday, November 23rd and hosted by comedian and late night show host Jimmy Kimmel.
