Steven Tyler recently released his first solo track off of his upcoming album. However, the rock singer admitted that the song, “(It) Feels So Good”, was originally penned for his band Aerosmith. The rest of the crew turned it down though. Steven reveals that he’s had the song written for a few years and when he brought it to his band mates, they just didn’t like it so it got tossed. Steven explained “I wrote the song at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Los Angeles a few years ago. I swear it’s going to be a hit. I can hear it coming out of people’s cars this summer. I’m a fool for melody, man. I’ve got to have melody. I miss it, and there it is.” There’s a reason the rest of Aerosmith decided to toss it but it’s Steven’s solo career so he can take whatever risk he wants to take.

Steven Tyler – (It) Feels So Good – Lyrics
Something cool went down
As I was walking with a friend of mine
And I, I still remember,
How she was smelling like the summer time
And oh, how it changed my mind
Changed everything, about that, come on girl
It feels so good, loving you
Yeah, it’s so good, the way you do the do
It feels so good, and I need oxygen,
Little bit of heaven doin’ 24-7 again
Yeah, again and again
Like I was sayin’
My little cupid was real super freak
By the time that I came down
I’ll get locked up in a room for a week
And oh, how she changed my mind
Changed everything about this crazy world
It feels so good, loving you
Yeah, it’s so good, the way you do the do
It feels so good, yeah and by the way
Little bit of heaven 24-7 times a day
A long hair
A double dare
And I swear
A Little bit will do you some good
Say where
I’m goin’ there
And I swear
Can’t get enough of you, oh yeah yah
Ma bonsoir
Excuse moi
Ya oh la la
Is gonna doing to me good
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, it feels so good, loving you (loving you)
Yeah, it’s so good, the way you do the do
It feels so good, yeah I need oxygen
Little bit of heaven doin’ 24-7 ah
Oh yeah, it feels so good, loving you (loving you)
Yeah, it’s so good, the way you do the do
It feels so good, lovin’ you (loving you)
It feels so good, making love to you
Uh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah eah
If the reports are true that Steven Tyler will become part of the new panel of judges on American Idol, the rock singer will have a crazy schedule travelling the country on top of his band being on tour all over the country. Aerosmith is currently in the middle of a nationwide tour and its scheduled to roll through the end of September. If you know your timelines, that puts it long after the production begins on the reality TV talent show. A rep for the band still wont confirm that Steven is locked up for AI but she did say that no matter what The Aerosmith tour will continue on for its full scheduled run with Steven Tyler.
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry suffered some injuries from a car crash in Middleborough, Massachusetts on Thursday. The rock star was transported to Morton Hospital and Medical Center to assess the damage. Luckily, the injuries were pretty minor and he has since been released from the hospital. The crash occurred on Route 44, where Joe was hit from behind by a sedan. Its good that he wasnt hurt too bad. I wish him a speedy recovery from the injuries that he sustained. Stay healthy! Why are rock stars so injury prone? Bonos been injured. Jon Bon Jovis injured. And now Joe. Huh.
Even though they were on the verge of breaking up some time ago, it seems that the tour the guys from Aerosmith have planned is still on the roll and in addition to their European dates, the band is planning a few American shows as well. This is what their still acting front man, Steven Tyler, had to say on the matter: Were gonna rock you into the middle of next week! Interesting Aerosmith concerts in the middle of the week some might take a dim view of that, but hey, every lame-ass rock band concerts in the week-end. Aerosmith are just being their special selves.
Steven Tyler went to Palm Desert karaoke bar after he got released from rehab. Though Aerosmith has announced that their lead singer won?t be performing with the band for the time being, no one ever said that he couldn?t sing some of their music by himself. Steven showed up and sang the hit ?I Don?t Want to Miss a Thing? after two other drunks got booed off with their versions of the song. The place went nuts for Steven and the DJ recalls it being an unforgettable moment. People in the audience also said that Steven was very gracious and kind.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has checked into a rehab clinic for pain management and an addiction to prescription painkillers.
The 61-year-old singer, who developed an addiction to the lethal pills after performing for 10 years with crippling injuries, released his own statement Tuesday.
It said: “With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford.
“I love Aerosmith; I love performing as the lead singer in Aerosmith. I am grateful for all of the support and love I am receiving and am committed to getting things taken care of.”
The hell-raising star has suffered with orthopedic injuries for the best part of a decade that leave him in “severe chronic pain” and will require surgeries on his knees and feet, revealed Dr Brian McKeon.
“Managing and controlling his pain has been challenging, and despite our use of alternative therapies and the creation of custom shoes built by a team of engineers from Timberland, Steven’s pain has progressed,” Dr McKeon said.
“The balance between managing his pain and avoiding addiction is tenuous and difficult and his bravery in persevering through rigorous touring is admirable.”
Aerosmith were on the brink of splitting after Tyler’s bandmates expressed their concern for his well-being after he fell off a stage and broke his shoulder back in August.
The first-ever items to be auctioned off by Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler – including his boxer shorts – have been revealed.
The legendary rocker has donated clothing and memorabilia to raise money for the MusiCares MAP fund, which helps musicians in their recovery from addictions.
The items to be auctioned off in New York include a Betsey Johnson pinstripe black suit, which is expected to sell for $600, and a Helen David English Eccentrics shirt, which is expected to fetch $800.
Two pairs of Tyler’s boxer shorts, one reading Light My Fire, are also going under the hammer and are expected to sell for more than $200.
Also up for auction on 21 November are signed guitars belonging to Ronnie Wood and Paul McCartney, and guitars hand-painted by Carly Simon, David Lee Roth and others.
Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith, according to the group’s guitarist, Joe Perry.
The singer has said he is ready to work on solo material, and the rest of the band are now said to be considering their options.
Perry said: “Steven quit as far as I can tell. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever.”
Perry also tells the Las Vegas Sun that Tyler often refuses to talk to other band members.
He added: “He’s notorious for that. That’s one thing I’ve learned to live with. I try to overlook it. I like to pick my battles.
“Frankly, the last few months I’ve been wanting not to rock the boat. I don’t want him cancelling any more gigs. We really wanted to do these last four. We just kind of didn’t want to get him any more p***ed off, for whatever reason.”
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry vented frustration over Steve Tyler’s injury derailing a summer tour.
Tyler careened backward on a stage in South Dakota in August, injuring himself and forcing the tour’s cancellation.
Perry, who has been promoting his own album, said in an interview: “The tour was building up to be a great tour, and I was pretty [upset], you know.”
Perry said he had not spoken to Tyler in the past five weeks and could not provide any update on his condition. “I don’t know what’s going on with him.”
He mentioned another incident involving Tyler, saying: “I was pretty [upset], because right before that, he had pulled a muscle in his leg. And we had to take two weeks off and we missed probably seven dates.
“All I know is he’s got to get his act together. I mean, he and I haven’t written a song together alone in the same room in over 10 years, so there’s been some changes in paradigm of what Aerosmith is.”
With Steven Tyler out with a serious injury, Aerosmith is left without a lead singer and thus will not be finishing up their tour this summer. The band released a statement apologizing to fans and explaining the situation saying ?Due to injuries Steven Tyler sustained last week when he fell from the stage during a concert in Sturgis, South Dakota, doctors have advised the lead singer to take the time to properly recuperate from the accident that resulted in a broken shoulder and stitches to his head.? Guitarist Joe Perry added to that statement saying ?Words can’t express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour. We hope we can get the Aerosmith machine up and running again as soon as possible.?
The American Idol contestant blew away with his performance yet again. For last evening he went with ?Cryin?? by Aerosmith and his vocal coverage was supposedly excellent? but the band didn?t quite perform up to the singer. Still, the reactions were no less than what was expected. Randy Jackson himself said this about Adam Lambert?s performance: “You should be a rock star! That’s who you are, baby!” It looks like Simon Cowell?s statement is slowly becoming a reality? Adam Lambert has apparently dodged the oncoming bullet once more? gee, what a surprise! Still, there is also tonight to be considered? who knows, the show may yet hold more surprises.
The American Idol contestant managed to redeem himself over the relative failure of the duet he did with Kris Allen by performing Aerosmith?s ?Dream On?. Apparently the key to the whole song was the final scream which Danny Gokey managed to nail very? luckily. In the rehearsals he does it cool and by the books, but during the performance, it apparently spirals out of proportion? which is good as far as the judges are concerned. Regardless of Simon Cowell?s comment on it and namely that it was like watching a horror movie, it seems Danny Gokey is safe for the time being. Now ain?t that just peachy: a horror scream finally saving somebody for a change.
The music industry has officially gone to the gamers. According to RockGamer, in June, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith turned out to be the band?s biggest hit yet. In the game?s first week of sales, it generated more revenue than any Aerosmith album ever! To give you an idea, the band?s latest studio release ?Honkin? on Bobo? had roughly $2 million in sales on its first week while Guitar Hero: Aerosmith grossed roughly around $25 million. Who knew that playing a glorified keytar would turn out to be so popular? Then again, everyone dreams of becoming a huge rock star. Guitar Hero makes that dream possible if even in your own living room.
