Nick Jonas is set to join the cast of “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying”. The 18-year old pop singer will begin his run as J. Pierrepont Finch on Broadway beginning on January 24, 2012. Daniel Radcliffe is currently playing the role. Once the “Harry Potter” actor finishes his run, “Glee” star Darren Criss will take over for just under a month. How do you think Nick will fair on the show after following Daniel and Darren? Sure he has some experience but compared to Daniel and Darren, he’s a novice. Who’s planning to see the show?
“Glee” actor Cory Monteith is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Parade magazine, which is out this Sunday. The 29-year old star told the magazine that by the age of 13, he was skipping school to drink and do drugs. Cory went to rehab at the age of 19 and was given an ultimatum by his family to get clean or be sent to jail. Cory said “I was done fighting myself. I finally said, ‘I’m gonna start looking at my life and figure out why I’m doing this.’ I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too. But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can.”

Russell Brand admits that married life can be ‘tricky.’ The British comic married pop star Katy Perry last year and admits he is still adjusting to his new domestic situation. “When I fell in love I changed from a philandering rascal to this gentleman,” Brand said on America’s Today Show. “Katy is gorgeous. Before I met her I was skylarking around and this didn’t used to be a keychain,” added Brand fingering a bondage-style keychain he had given to host Meredith Vieira. “I love it. It is like having a good friend, and when you talk about something on Wednesday, on Thursday it is the same person you are telling not a new person who doesn’t know about Wednesday. “The challenges are that if you are married to someone you have to do what they ask you all the time. Women change the rules every day, you have to apologise a lot. It is tricky but I love it.”
It looks like becoming an actor wasn’t enough for 50 Cent as the rapper has decided to get more involved with movies behind the scenes with his new production company Mayweather Productions. 50 Cent’s partner in the new venture, Floyd Mayweather Jr., spoke about the company saying “We’re going to do what we normally do: sit in a room and brainstorm and try to come up with new ideas … you know, outside the box. Be creative and just work together and try to be positive. That’s the main thing. It’s about working hard, being positive and working together.” I’m entirely sure of this but it’s his money that’s getting wasted.
Jamie Foxxs music video for his new single Fall for Your Type recently debuted on BET. The video shows the singer going through the ups and downs in his relationship. I think its ok but perhaps the pace is too slow. I guess it was done to fit the songs vibe. The song is a ballad with a deep message so I think Jamie played his role pretty well. This collaboration with Drake becomes the third official single from the singer/actors upcoming studio album Best Night of My Life which hits stores on December 21st. While I do like the full R&B side to Jamies music, I dont think it will do so well due to lack of hype for his new CD.

While appearing on Lopez Tonight, Mark Wahlberg opened up about his daughters obsession with Justin Bieber. The actor apparently asked his agent to call the teen pop singer so his 6-year old Ella Rae can chat with him but it hasnt happened yet. Mark said I made the mistake of telling my daughter. So, yesterday she came to the doctor with me, she came to the office with me because we’re waiting for this call I’m starting to get upset, man. I’m gonna have to mess his hair up a little bit when I see him. I wonder when Justin plans on making that call.
Mark Wahlberg was recently asked if there was any music artist around today who could convince him to lay down a rap track with them and bring out his talents as rapper Marky Mark again. The actor responded that If Justin Bieber asks me, I’ll say yes. Only because my daughter loves him. I wonder if the teen pop sensation is a fan of Mark. I think it would be absolutely funny if Justin did get to call Mark and asked him to rap on a new song. Mark would be a hero to his kids and would be a shame to himself.
Justin Bieber is slated to star in his first television guest spot. The pop singer has been tapped to guest star on CSI. The teen sensation is going to be on the shows season premiere. Sources say that Justin will play Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brothera decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs. It is the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season. Let me get this straight Justin will be an actor for a whole season? I know that hes a good performer but you have to wonder if he could handle such a dark role.

It?s not like 50 Cent needs anymore money but it turns out that the rapper and multi-millionaire has written a new movie. The rapper turned actor has actually signed a deal recently with producer Richard Jackson to make three of his screenplays into movies. According to 50, ?When you write a song, you need to say it in three minutes or it is overkill, but I like creating stories and going in depth with characters.? The first movie is set to start production next month and will actually star the rapper and Val Kilmer. The film deals with 50 and Val in the world of illegal weapons dealing and is appropriately called ?The Gun?.

Josh Groban made a memorable, albeit brief, appearance on ?Glee? this season, but according to the singer, we haven?t seen the last of him on the musical TV show. Josh has confirmed that he will be returning to the series before the season is out, saying ?I think I?m going to come back and do one more episode. And we?ll see what happens.? He admits that he?s eager to return because he loves to do comedy and he loved working with the cast, sharing ?I had a great time with that cast, coming from a theater background. It?s so nice to see so many theater actors being hired for mainstream television.
