If you missed watching U2?s live concert on YouTube, there?s another chance for you to see them for free in Berlin. Bono and the rest of the band will be belting out their music at no cost on November 5th to celebrate the 20 years since the falling of the Berlin Wall, which ended separation between east and west Germany. I thought that they were looking to get some profits off of their concerts. Why the heck to they keep doing free gigs? Oh well, it?s not like they need the money anyway. I?m sure a lot of their fans are enjoying all the freebies.
Paul McCartney will sing his last on-stage song in a spectacular final tour next year.
A source said: “Paul wants to go out with a bang. He’s played countless stadiums over his 50-year career and is on the hunt for the most unusual locations he can find. He realises that the older he gets, the less his body will be able to cope with the demands of extended periods on the road.”
McCartney wants to go out in style, however, with a tour that takes in politically dynamic locations such as Tiananmen Square and the area around Berlin’s Checkpoint Charlie.
The tour, planned for 2010, will run for a year as the ex-Beatle nudges 70.
And Sir Paul may step out of retirement from time to time, the source indicated.
“He might play the odd benefit gig if the likes of President Obama gives him a bell but other than that he’ll be putting his feet up and enjoying retirement.”
Depeche Mode has been forced to cancel four more shows recently due to lead singer David Gahan?s severe case of gastroenteritis. In a statement from the band, they said ?Dave is currently undergoing further tests. Depeche Mode apologizes to all their fans for this inconvenience and wish Dave a speedy recovery.? The ?Tour of the Universe? was shut down until May 21 and affected the rock band?s performances in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia. Ticket holders were advised to hold on to their tickets as information about rescheduling/cancellation is still being ironed out. Announcements regarding the cancelled dates will be announced soon.

Rihanna is jumping back into her work as in just a few weeks, the singer will be performing a concert in Dubai. Not only that, but reports are also saying that the Barbadian babe is planning a massive North American tour for the fall. They say that the tour will begin in September but many details are still being discussed. They?re still talking about who?s going on tour with her and it looks like it will be an all girls tour this time. Keyshia Cole and Ciara are both said to be in negotiations to join Rihanna on tour. A source insists that ?Rihanna wants strong women to join her. This is a ‘women empowerment’ type of tour.?
I never expected that tickets for all of Michael Jackson?s 50 scheduled shows at London?s O2 Arena would get sold out in a matter of hours. Now, it?s being reported that his shows might come to the US because of the sales success over in the UK. According to reports, once Jacko?s European tour ends next January, he will do a tour in the US and is likely to do an extended stay in cities like New York and Los Angeles. Sources are even saying that concert promoters AEG are discussing a world tour now. While the tickets sold out pretty quick, I still say that it would mean nothing if he doesn?t show up for his shows. They can discuss a tour once they?re sure that Jacko can deliver a good performance.
When it comes to Madonna, there?s no reason why shouldn?t expect the very best. The Queen of Pop has just confirmed that once again as the extended summer dates of her Sticky & Sweet Tour are already sold out. Tickets were actually all gone in mere minutes after going on sale. That includes her shows in London, Manchester, Belgium, Oslo, Gothenburg and Helsinki. The Helsinki show will also be one of the biggest shows that Finland has ever seen. She works so hard so she deserves to have one of the top grossing tours ever! Madonna has just been certified as a killer performer and hustler.
Madonna?s extended schedule for her Sticky and Sweet tour has been revealed with Paul Oakenfold . The tour will kick off starting July 4th in London and stops will include appearances in never before played markets such as Werchter Belgium, Marseille France, Hamburg Germany, Oslo Norway, Helsinki Finland, Estonia, Slovenia as well as stops in Romania, Hungary, Belgrade Serbia and Bulgaria. Madonna will also be returning to places like Madrid Spain, Gothenburg and Munich after 15 years. The Queen of Pop said ?This is a first for me. I?ve never extended a tour before. I?m excited to be going back on the road, visiting places I?ve never been and returning to places I love.?
Madonna fans are sure to be excited about this piece of news. Rumors are going around to almost certainty that the Queen of Pop?s Sticky and Sweet tour is going to have an extended run this summer. Several sources are reporting that Madonna and her team are planning to add some cities that weren?t part of the tour last year to the new schedule. Don?t expect anything new to happen though as it really is just an extension of the shows last year. Reports also say that the extension will last for two months, throughout July and August. At the moment, only European cities are being reported as venues.
After Madonna?s Sticky & Sweet Tour concludes its run in Brazil later this month, the Queen of Pop is predicted to be positively rolling in dough as she has set records for the most money for both a female artist and a solo artist. Congratulations! After wrapping up the European and American legs of her tour, Madonna has already raked in $207.5 million in ticket sales alone. In the end, the Material Girl is poised to gross $282 million. Bow down and kiss the ground she walks on! She?s amazing! I doubt there will be another artist in this lifetime that can do that.

Spinner.com has just premiered the performance video for Alkaline Trio?s new single, ?Help Me.? Director Tony Ushino (Ozzy Osbourne, Winds of Plague) pieced together clips from the band’s European tour along with some Bamboozle footage, to bring their first single from Agony and Irony to life.
The video for ?Give It 2 Me,? the second single off of Madonna?s recently released Hard Candy proves that the Queen of Pop isn?t slowing down even for one second, and the rhythmic dance track proves that to a tee with lyrics like ?I can go on and on and on? and ?no one?s gonna stop me now.? The track was co-written and co-produced by Pharrell who is also featured in the video. Can?t get enough? It?s available for instant download on iTunes.

Oasis is hitting the road at the end of August. Sadly, they band is only going to be playing a few cities. The UK band will play their first live show in over two years at Seattle?s WaMu Theater on the 26th of August before crossing the border over to Canada to play shows in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. Pre-sale tickets have already gone on sale April 1. Oasis will be joined by Ryan Adams and his band The Cardinals for the tour. Oasis is a pretty big band and it?s tragic that they only get to tour a few cities. Oh yeah, I forgot they?re indie artists now and released their latest album for free.
Fall Out Boy was on track to set the world record for the shortest amount of time to play all of the world?s seven continents last Wednesday but all of that was for nothing. The band and their crew made it all the way to Chile and were waiting in their hotel rooms for the go signal from organizers to proceed to the last continent on their list ? Antarctica. All they needed to grab the record was to perform in Antarctica by last Thursday when weather conditions in the icy continent wouldn?t cooperate and prevented them from traveling. That?s too bad. They were so close too.
The Spice Girls were upstaged on the last night of their world tour by Victoria Beckham’s young son.
The reunited girlband – Victoria, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C – performed their final concert in Toronto, Canada, on Tuesday night but it was three-year-old Cruz who stole the show.
The toddler showed off his breakdancing skills, including a head spin, during the group’s hit song ‘Mama’ – just as he had done two weeks earlier at their New York concert.
During the show, the girls spent a lot of their time hugging and kissing each other as they realised they may never perform together again.
An emotional Geri said: “This is the last night of the tour and we never dreamt we’d ever be back together and be such a success and who knows if we’ll ever get back together again.”
As they closed the show with ‘Spice Up Your Life’ all five enjoyed a group hug before leaving the stage for the final time.
Paramore has just cancelled the remainder of their European tour and after posting an ominous message on their official blog, rumors are circulating that they may be breaking up. Let?s hope not!
Here?s what they had to say: ?There are a lot of internal issues that have been going on in this band for quite a while now. A lot of it started right around the time we were gearing up for the RIOT Tour in the US. We were able to fight through all of it for this long but unfortunately we weren?t able to keep it together long enough to make it through ?til the end of this tour. We really feel that taking this time is going to give us a chance to get away and work out our personal issues at home and on our own terms. We just aren?t willing to risk the life of our band over one tour.?
The band will play three sold out shows, two in New York and one in Los Angeles, to throngs of Tokio Hotel fanatics.
Not to be turned off by ?Sold Out? signs, fans have turned to on-line auction site Ebay to try and guarantee a spot in the crowd. With tickets auctioning for $800 with 78 bids, it is safe to say U.S. demand for these superstars is high!
While fans bid and out bid each other for tickets, it is business as usual for Tokio Hotel. Sold out shows are nothing new for the band, they have played to millions of fans worldwide selling out countless venues.
See what the buzz is about and check out the video for ?Ready, Set, Go? from the forthcoming release Scream that is due in stores April 15th.
Tokio Hotel U.S. Tour Dates:
2.15.08 Los Angeles, CA ? The Roxy
2.18.08 New York, NY ? The Fillmore at Irving Plaza
2.19.08 New York, NY ? The Fillmore at Irving Plaza
Bon Jovi have announced plans for a band documentary, appointing an acclaimed director to helm the project.
Barbara Kopple will put together the movie, as the veteran rockers prepare to embark on their upcoming world tour. The Oscar-winning filmmaker is expected to cut old and new footage together for the currently untitled documentary, which was revealed this week by the band.
Guitarist Richie Sambora said Bon Jovi were eager to be seen in the same wide screen light as some of their rock ‘n’ roll peers.
“We just realized that (over) all the years, we really didn’t document enough stuff. We put out a box set a few years ago, but we look at other bands, contemporaries like U2, even Tom Petty and Aerosmith, and they had cameras rolling all the time. We didn’t have a lot of footage like that going on”, said the star, who admitted the project was “a work in progress”, with no official release date.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony kicked off their ING Presents concert tour on Friday at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. This is the first time the husband and wife have toured together, though they have performed together in the past. She is a star and there is no doubt in my mind about that, she does her acts so gracefully and with such exemplified brilliance that I think she is one of the best performers out there in the world today along side Justin Timberlake. She opened with her new single “Do It Well,” and showed off some low-key hip-hop dance moves. So guys and all you admires of J Lo, all will agree with me that she has it in her to make the world dance to her footsteps. Even during her performance recently during the announcement of the New 7 wonders of the world her performance was splendid and rocking.
Christina Aguilera canceled a string of shows in Australia and now she has just canceled a pair of concerts in New Zealand because she is too sick to continue on with the show. Luckily enough, those two shows happen to be the last of the worldwide tour.
Christina has been suffering from a viral upper respiratory tract infection with a high fever and abnormal coughing ? an ailment that went around her crew before getting to her. With the tour over, she now has the time to get well and focus on getting healthier for her and the baby?s sake.
The band scored hits with Say You’ll Be There and Spice Up Your Life
The Spice Girls are widely expected to announce they are reforming at a press conference in London on Thursday.
It will be the first official public appearance by all five members since Geri Halliwell quit in May 1998.
By that point, the band had notched up six UK number one singles, and were in the midst of a 102-date world tour.
Earlier this month Mel C, better known as Sporty Spice, told that any reunion would be for “a very short space of time… a final goodbye”.
The singer added that she had resisted reforming the band in the past because “it was amazing, it was magical. We could never recreate it”.
The girl group are due to address the press at the O2 arena in south-east London at 1200BST (1100GMT).
A notice announcing the event said the band would “make an official announcement to the world regarding future plans”.
It is rumored the group are planning six live shows around the world with gigs in London, Tokyo and Las Vegas, to support a greatest hits album which comes out later this year.
The band’s management company, 19 Entertainment, has already registered the internet domains spicegirlsofficial.com and spicegirlsofficial.net.
19 is run by Simon Fuller, who masterminded the group’s global success more than a decade ago.
He?s been through a lot of things in his personal life recently but that hasn?t deterred Sir Paul for planning a world tour. After putting an end to the bitter battle with his wife Heather, Paul McCartney is secretly planning a hit world tour. The ex-Beatle is set for a six month touring in Europe, USA and Japan next year to promote new album Memory Almost Full. ?I?m going to tour the world!? were the words of Mr. McCartney to some of his friends. Don?t these words show how much enthusiasm is there in a person who has lived music for almost his entire life? There passion amongst people to be creative and have the freedom to do what they like doing, the downside is that many people love to do many things but most of us have to do things that are required of us. Macca?s decision comes after the surprisingly peaceful deal with Heather Mills. The shows are set to start next year in May, when the divorce will be finalized.
