One of the most anticipated tracks from TI’s upcoming album “No Mercy”, which hits stores on December 7, has leaked onto the internet. The rapper’s song is actually a duet featuring Christina Aguilera called “Castle Walls” and it seems that it will serve as the new single from TI’s seventh LP and the follow up to “Get Back Up” featuring Chris Brown. I absolutely love “Castle Walls” with the stripped back chorus that sounds so vulnerable in the middle of the harsh rap. Christina killed it with this one. I think we might be seeing the 29-year old singer back on top of the charts with this one. Maybe she could do a part 2 of this much like Rihanna has done with “Love the Way You Lie”.

It seems like the honeymoon is over for TI and his wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle. The couple was arrested late Wednesday night for possession of a controlled substance. The rapper and his former singer wife got in trouble during a traffic stop when cops smelled marijuana coming from their car. This could be very bad news for TI who is currently on a three-year probation after being charged and jailed in 2008 for unlawfully possessing firearms as a convicted felon. He needs to get his act together. It seems like it was just a short while ago since he was released on his weapons charges and now he may have to go back into the slammer for drugs.
After being convicted for gun possession and even though he is still serving time in Georgia, T.I. has decided to make a public appearance with his fianc?e Tameka Cottle at her Alzheimer?s research fundraiser. A good way for T.I. to score some extra good behavior points, no doubt. Also, his manager seems to be very excited about T.I.?s upcoming projects which include a new album and a movie: “He’s sounding beautiful. His spirit is really good. He’s got the eye of the tiger. There’s no theme as of yet. The sound is definitely not a bunch of samples.” Interesting how busy T.I. has been since being convicted. He probably has too much free time on his hands and thought it best to at least use it for another record.

There seems to be a real shortage of originality in rap music these days? so much so that artists have started borrowing music from each other, without first asking permission. That?s all fine and dandy until somebody gets caught. Hence T.I.?s presently delicate situation. One of his fellow rappers, Motoe Blizzid, is suing T.I. because he believes that ?What you know? contains way too many similarities to his ?Reverence? track. He?s not asking for much? just the profits from T.I.?s single? plus damages. Probably not the best thing for T.I. Didn?t they teach him to cover his tracks better at music school?

Nickelback front man Chad Kroeger was spotted by paparazzi earlier this week but it looks like he?s been bitten by the shyness bug. The rocker actually reminded photographers that he?s a nobody saying that he doesn?t ?sell magazines, so f**k off?. Well that wasn?t very ?rock star? of him. I would have at least expected a photographer to get punched and more swearing to come from him.
Chad?s wanting to be ignored went nowhere though because despite knowing just how worthless he is, he still managed to go home with an SUV full of chicks. Now that?s what being a rock star is about!
T.I. may not be able to defend himself to the press because he?s in jail but his fellow rappers are speaking up for him about his recent legal troubles and even offering some words of advice for the troubled rapper.
Common says that T.I. should continue to pray saying ?Know that God is with you. Know that He knows what the truth is and the truth is going to allow you to get out and be alright.? But what if he actually did it?
Wu Tang Clan co-founder RZA also had some words about T.I.?s troubles saying ?One of my security guards said ?Don?t you ever buy a gun, because you can afford all the security.?? They should have given T.I. that piece of advice long ago.
Rapper T.I., or Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. as his birth certificate says, was arrested last week in Atlanta. The ATF issued a search warrant for his home and the rapper is said to be in custody.
The agencies at the scene of the federal search warrant include the ATF, US Marshalls, Fugitive Task Force, Fulton Country SWAT, Fulton County PD, Dekalb County PD and the ATF/Atlanta PD Violent Crime Impact Team. Were they arresting one solitary rapper or the Wu Tang Clan and their entourage?
The rapper was arrested on multiple weapons charges after having a bodyguard of his try to buy machine guns and silencers for him. His bodyguard admits to buying firearms for T.I. and other members of his posse in the past.
