Soulja Boy made a daring claim on his Twitter this past Sunday that was soon re-tweeted by his legions of fans. According to the rapper, Willow Smith’s hit song “Whip My Hair”, which has catapulted the 9-year old singer into superstardom, was actually all his doing. Soulja Boy said “YES ITS TRUE I WROTE “WHIP MY HAIR” FOR WILLOW SMITH. THATS WHY SHE SAYS HOP OUT THE BED TURN MY SWAG ON. WE GETTING $$$ 2011 NO GAMES (sic).” However, Ronald Jackson and Janae Rockwell are listed as the songwriting team behind the track and not the rapper. Why would he make such a claim to fame? Apparently, Soulja Boy trademarked the phrase “turn my swag on” after the song became a hit, which means that the song’s producers will have to compensate him for using it in Willow’s song. Shady!
The singer has recently released a new track together with Soulja Boy called “BBM”. It’s not really as catchy as his earlier work, but then again that doesn’t seem to be its purpose. Apparently the song deals with how the blackberry interferes with the ongoing progress of a relationship. Musically it sounds like a sort of combination between R&B and Electro, but it doesn’t really seem to get anywhere. Soulja Boy’s intervention doesn’t do it too much good either. Well, maybe it’s not a total loss for Sean Kingston… surely there will be someone out there who will like it at least a little bit. It’s a good thing he has some previous better material backing him up.

Rapper Soulja Boy took to his Twitter to pick a fight with both Chris Brown and Bow Wow but only the R&B singer took the bait. Soulja boy tweeted ?#ListenBitch add @ChrisBrown & @BowWow followers together and you still aint half way fuckin wit me lol.? Chris had to respond and tweeted back ?@souljaboytellem and @bowwow what yall make in a show i make for an hour at an afterparty? jus sayin.? Soulja Boy hit back and seemingly got the last word, saying ?#ListenBitch if my last tweet offended you I won. lol @bowwow there you go. fuck bank accounts. fuck followers. let’s see who new album sell the most 1st week.? Soulja Boy has a new album coming out at the end of July while Bow Wow hasn?t set a release date for his latest, and no one really cares about Chris anymore.

Rapper Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em showed off tens of thousands of dollars in a shoe box and his expensive collection of bling in an internet video hitting back at reports he owes almost US$10,000 in unpaid bills.
The chart-topping star arrogantly flaunted his wealth in the footage posted on his Twitter page to prove he isn’t hard-up.
He filmed the box packed with wads of US$100 bills and boasted about the cost of his jewellery – including a bedazzled miniature Lamborghini – and designer bags to prove he’s not short of cash.
His pals modelled some of his jewellery and whooped: ?Wow! Wow! Wow!? as he bragged about his cash.
Soulja Boy – real name DeAndre Ramone Way – can be heard pricing up the pieces with comments like ?250 on the Lambo, 150 on The World Is Yours?.
He says of the wads of cash: ?They took me to jail, I would say, ?Man, get over to my crib, get one of these out and come and get me out of jail.’
Filming his designer bags, he brags: ?I don’t even know how much the Louis cost. I don’t even know how much the Gucci cost.?
Soulja Boy posted the video – which was quickly removed – amid claims he owes nearly US$10,000 in unpaid bills on his luxury LA apartment.
His landlord is reportedly demanding US$9,376.10 in unpaid rent and late fees.
Soulja Boy was the victim of an armed robbery at his home last December.
His spokesman claimed six men armed with pistols in AK-47s and pistols burst into the property.

Last Wednesday night, Soulja Boy, real name Deandre Cortez Way, was arrested in Georgia when he ran away from police during an investigation. The rapper and a large group of people were found hanging around an abandoned house in Henry County by the cops. When the officers approached the house, a few people, including Soulja, took off. The people that remained explained that they were on a video shoot. Moments after running off, Soulja returned to offer the cops the same explanation but he was put under arrest since he ran from the cops. The fact that he ran off and then came back says that he went to hide something he didn?t want to be found.

Soulja Boy?s delusions of grandeur have given a new definition to the meaning of the phrase. The rapper keeps a tally of goals that he hopes to accomplish but the young Soulja has set the bar almost into outer space. First on his list is to tour with Rick Ross and Eminem. Then he wants to collaborate with Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne for his upcoming album ?The DeAndre Way?. Do those guys even know him? The delusional rapper boasted to reporters ?Mark my words: This album will go platinum. It will be the best album I’ve put out so far. I don’t want no bullshit. I want, from start to finish, classic #1 records. I’m not playing.?

Travis Barker of Blink 182 fame is usually rockin? it out. With his tattoos, mo-hawk and piercings, you would hardly think of him as a hip hop act. But a video has been posted on YouTube where the drummer is making use of his talent to pound out the song ?Crank That? by Soulja Boy. And anyone can say that his remix is fantastic as he put his rock star attitude on the mega hit.
I just think it?s sad that the Soulja Boy is getting pretty commercial. Children to ballet to it, Natalie Portman dances to it and Travis did a remix of it. If by some miracle, Britney decides to dance again and learn the Soulja Boy dance, it?s over!

Just when Hurricane Chris had snatched the focus away from Atlanta to his home state of Louisiana with the summer chant “A Bay Bay,” Atlanta teen DeAndre Way (aka Soulja Boy) arrives to consolidate some of the great moves from the likes of Dem Franchize Boyz and Yung Jock into a new dance and its accompaniment. “Crank That,” the result is climbing the chart and, due to the appeal of the dance, is picking up some high profile fans along the way. It’s thoroughly enjoyable while it’s hot and ultimately forgettable a year from now.17-year-old DeAndre Way (aka Soulja Boy) seems to have worked his way through the halls of the recording industry on sheer chutzpah and talent. After taking to the internet and MySpace in particular, Soulja Boy was signed by Mr. Collipark, of Ying Yang Twins fame, and ended up with distribution of his first single by Interscope. It’s no surprise “Crank That” rose to the top when you see Soulja in action on his various videos. The dance accompanying the whisp of a song is fun to watch and do and just complicated enough that learning it is an achievement.
“Crank That” is not only appealing to young fans. It has caught the attention of some top artists as well.

Hip-hop sensation Soulja Boy is back at the top of the U.S. pop charts after displacing Kanye West a week after the Stronger hit maker toppled him. Soulja Boy’s Crank That (Soulja Boy) spent two weeks at number one earlier this month but fell to two last week as West scored a brief chart double by claiming top spots on the Billboard album and singles charts. I said it time and again and please allow me the liberty to once again push my point that I always love it when a no-namer comes and pulls the rug under the feet of a well established super well known singer who has been crowned as a best selling singer time over time. That?s what pumps me up, get the adrelin following and make you that there is a time when the young guns find the ammunition and the artillery to fire and displace a top notch singer or anyone in any field. I do not why I am connecting so much to his success but then that?s what dreams are made of, you think if he can then so can I!
Way to go man, bust up these big ass losers.
