This is one big historic week on the Billboard charts. As of this week, the cast of “Glee” has placed an astounding 113 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart. In the two and a half years that the hit TV show has been making amazing remakes, they have already bested Elvis Presley’s record of 108 for most charted songs by an act in the list’s 52 years. With the show seeming to not have any end coming soon, you can be sure that those numbers are still going to rise. As for this week’s charts, the show bested their own record by charting nine songs in a week, including Lea Michele’s rendition of Katy Perry’s “Firework”. Congratulations to “Glee”!

Its a good thing we only have a few days to wait for it.

The soul singer said I must say hearing this song sung by Gwyneth Paltrow, an Academy Award winner, is a timeless flattery I wont soon forget. Some Rihanna?s lyrics for the song are as follows: “I said I’m not coming back / You fooled me once but you can’t have that ego turning. But still you have to wonder how much Rihanna can actually get to Chris Brown with a song like that? especially since the man is still facing jail time.
Ashley Tisdale has just premiered the video for her single “It’s Alright, It’s OK!” The Scott Speer (The Veronicas, Jordin Sparks) directed video features 90210′s Adam Gregory as Ashley’s ex-boyfriend. “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will appear on the forthcoming Guilty Pleasure due out on June 16th. Britney Spears has released her new music video for her single ?If U Seek Amy?. The controversial song is the third single to be released from her album ?Circus?. Just like her videos for ?Womanizer? and ?Circus?, Britney is still the hot mama that she is in her new video. One of the most highly anticipated albums in rock history, the long-awaited Chinese Democracy (Black Frog/Geffen Records) will be available globally on November 23 on CD and vinyl (accompanied by a free digital download of the tracks), and as a separate digital album.
Produced by Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo, Chinese Democracy includes 14 tracks. The title track and first single from the album, ?Chinese Democracy?, was released to radio at 5:00AM eastern time today. Two of the recordings have been recently released–?Shackler?s Revenge? debuted September 14 in the ?Rock Band 2? videogame and ?If The World? debuted October 11 in the film Body Of Lies.

John Mayer was spotted leaving the Hazelton Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to head to his scheduled concert earlier this week. The 30-year old musician performed at The Molson Amphitheatre as part of his summer tour. John?s new 2 CD set ?Where The Light Is: John Mayer Live In Los Angeles? features 5 acoustic songs, 8 songs with the John Mayer Trio and 9 songs with a full 8-member band. The album has a total of 22 songs and was released last week. The next stop for John?s tour is at the Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York with Colbie Caillat as his opening act.

She may have conquered the iTunes singles chart but I guess that?s the only positive thing that we can expect from Mariah Carey. The curvaceous singer?s new single ?Touch My Body? is not on the number 15 spot on the Billboard singles chart this week. The song has been on the chart for six weeks but has failed to even just break into the top 10 having only peaked at a high of the number 14 spot last week. But with her single being number 1 on iTunes, here?s to hoping that the digital downloads will help her even just for a little bit.
The Jonas Brothers show their patriotic side when they sand the National Anthem on the South Lawn at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC on Monday morning for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. 20-year old Kevin, 18-year old Joe and 15-year old Nick belted out their best rendition of the song as thousands, including the Cat in the Hat, Tweety Bird, Charlie Brown, Mickey Mouse, Snoopy, Clifford the Big Red Dog and the official White House Easter bunnies, watched them perform. It may seem like I?m kidding but really, those are the so-called people in attendance. It is a kids? event after all.
After the flop of her latest album ?My December?, it would almost seem that a lot of Kelly Clarkson haters surfaced. But be prepared to praise her once again. From the reports about her next album, there?s a lot of potential of it to be quite good. The original American Idol is working with the talent performer/songwriter/producer Ryan Tedder, the lead singer of OneRepublic. Ryan co-wrote Leona Lewis? international smash hit ?Bleeding Love? and he says that Kelly?s new songs will feature big choruses and heavy drum programming. In other words, it?s back to pop people! Ryan also revealed that the songs are heavily influenced by 90s electro-rockers Garbage and one song even features a bridge inspired by Mozart. Interesting.
Justin Timberlake created a phat video for his song “Run” with Gnarls Barkley. But you won’t be seeing it on television anytime soon.
According to the Associated Press, MTV has banned the video because of the strobe effects in it. Apparently, it doesn’t pass the Harding Test, which determines whether or not something will trigger epileptic seizures.

New details about Madonna?s new album have been revealed. The disc now has a title. It?s going to be called ?Hard Candy? and it has a release date of April 29. The Queen of Pop?s rep Liz Rosenberg, tells Entertainment Weekly that Madonna chose to stick with the sweet theme because ?she loves candy. It?s about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed ?I?m gonna kick your ass, but it?s going to make you feel good.?? If the rest of the album sounds anything like the 17-second leak of her and Justin?s song, then it?s really going to make up feel good.
