As the day when the singer’s life on this earth will have spanned the impressive number of three decades comes ever so near, Christina Aguilera admits that she is not scared of getting older as most people in the business she’s in are. This is what she said on the matter: “In this business, people get really scared of age but I wear my wounds as something I’m proud of. You learn so much more about yourself and now I couldn’t even imagine being 20 again.” Such words of wisdom from Christina Aguilera! You can see how much better a person she’s become in her last decade: divorcing her husband after allegedly cheating on him, getting the diva behavior that even Mariah Carey would be scared of. Truly Christina Aguilera doesn’t have anything to fear about getting older… it’s not like she could get much more twisted in her next decade.
The singer from Boyzone who apparently admitted to having had an affair even though he and his wife have been married for twelve years is apparently going to give his marriage another shot but he isn’t expecting it to be an easy endeavor. This is what Ronan Keating said on the matter: “I’ve had a tough couple of years. I t feels like a fresh start now. We’re building a new family home and we move in next week. I want to put everything behind us. I’m still struggling with a lot of things personally, and there’s still a long way to go.” A new house is always a good place to start… it never fails to serve in hiding the true issues of relationships. But Ronan Keating is probably going to patch things up pretty well… until the next time temptation pops up at his door.
After the debacle that his single “Shake” proved to be in the US, Jesse McCartney wants to now start from scratch with his track “One Night”. The song is the second single from the pop singer’s upcoming LP “Have it All”, which hits stores in early 2011. The track has an up tempo feel and features an electronic arrangement. It’s quite good and is a safer choice if Jesse really wants to show his urban side by keeping up with the current trends of electro pop and dance music. The song is radio friendly and has a great chorus and vibe. All in all, it’s a good single choice.

Cee-Lo Green has premiered the new music video for his song “It’s Ok”. The track is the latest single to be released from his new album “The Lady Killer” which is in stores now. The song has a feel good vibe and a great hook. I can totally see it having a good run on the charts. As for the video, it’s great too. The hip hop singer definitely knows what songs and videos to deliver. I also want to give out some kudos to him as his smash hit “F—k You” has been recognized by the Grammys as the song has been nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

The singer has recently released a new music video for his also new single, “Pray”. As you would probably expect the video is a collage of footage from many of Justin Bieber’s travels where he visits sick children, on duty soldiers and so on and so fourth. At some points it is a bit touching. The images actually manage to augment the song’s potential a little bit and that’s probably the best thing this video has to offer… aside from being a reasonably powerful promotion tool, that is. To wrap it all up, there are also some images of Justin Bieber playing his guitar and singing suspended somewhere in a big metal heart. And if that’s not confusing enough, the images are black and white. That’s where the video kind of derails a bit.

Joe Jonas has reportedly made some major changes on his upcoming debut CD. The pop singer was said to have started with a softer sound but has done a big 180 and switched gears to a more dance-filled and upbeat record. The Jonas Brothers member told In Style “I began writing it with a Michael Buble mentality, but now I’m switching gears a bit.” Joe has even asked electropop singer/producer FrankMusik to collaborate, saying “He’s awesome. We’ve gone through couple of different sounds.” It seems like Joe is definitely trying to keep away from that old Jonas Brothers sound. Do you think he has what it takes to make it?

Well, not exactly caroling, but it does look like her tastes are shifting toward Christmas songs. Jessica Simpson recently released a track called “My Only Wish” which will be featured on her upcoming collection of similarly-themed songs: “Happy Christmas…” Basically Jessica Simpson’s song is that typical love song for the holidays, nothing really stands out here: not the lyrics, not the music, not even the freaking rhythm. But, if you’re bored with the classic sounding classics and you want to hear them from another voice, you might try Jessica Simpson’s attempt. Who knows, there might be those out there who will like it.
Ke$ha released a new song called ‘Blow’. It’s another promo single that comes as part of an iTunes exclusive countdown to the release of the Ke$ha’ new EP ‘Cannibal’ which hits stores on November 22. Don’t let them win because it’s such a terrible energy to spread….High school is not the end of the line! Nadine Coyle’s first solo single ‘Insatiable’ was nothing short of disappointing but it apparently has a hot music video. It’s apparently so hot that it’s been banned for TV. The singer recently went on her Twitter to talk about the video saying that it “failed a test for TV”. It has since been forced back for a re-edit after it was deemed too sexy. Nadine said “It was so much fun making the video – even though I was sprayed with water and had a bad neck afterward after all the hair flicking and rocking out I did!” It’s too bad no amount of sexiness can cover how bland the song is.
