The electro band The Chemical Brothers released a video for the song “Another World”. The visual effects were made by Marcus Lyall and Adam Smith. The two of them also directed a few episodes of “Dr. Who”, “Little Dorrit” and “Skins”. “Another World” is extracted from the seventh album of the band, “Further”. The album was released in June. The Chemical Brothers are a British duo (Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons). Their influence on electro music was decisive. Inspired by Enemy, Cabaret Voltaire and My Bloody Valentine, the band created a fusion between dance, rock and rap. Their style is characterized by groovy parts, guitar sounds and special sound effects.

Lady Gaga in Museum

Lady Gaga was in Boston last week for the unveiling of her exclusive Polaroid photo to be housed in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology museum. The princess of pop was named as creative director for Polaroid back in January. As for why the singer’s photo is being housed there, the MIT museum has recently acquired thousands of Polaroid inventions and products, including the camera that was used to take the picture of Lady Gaga. That’s so cool! You’ve got a great innovation in photography and a great innovator of music and fashion. Those are definitely worth seeing in a museum.

I love myself some Jack White but the singer’s affinity for taxidermy absolutely freaks me out. The rock star is asking his fans to no longer contribute to his collection of animals. He has apparently spent years buying the stuffed animals but finds it insulting to find them in comedic poses so he wants fans to cut it out. Jack said “I don’t have much choice in the matter – I feel like a rescuer, a Humane Society employee. There’s a majesty to these animals that I want to preserve; I can’t see them looked at in a comedic way. Sometimes people get it wrong, and it’s so insulting. They’ll buy me a squirrel playing pool or some s**t like that.” Uh, ok.

YouTube Sensation Gets Record Deal

Greyson Chance is the latest YouTube sensation to get himself a record deal. And the kid is just 12 years old! The big-voiced sixth grader, who has attracted nearly 14 million viewers on YouTube with his rendition of Lady Gaga’s ‘Paparazzi’, has reportedly signed a deal with Interscope Records but no confirmation from the label has been made. Some sources are saying that “Interscope [chairman] Jimmy Iovine closed the deal before any other label could even step in and meet the kid.” Congratulations to Greyson if it is true. Did you know that the kid has been taking piano lessons for 3 years but has never taken vocal lessons? Amazing!

Madonna Auction Halted

As it was previously reported, Madonna�s private journal went up for auction � or at the very least, they used to be. The auction has come to a halt last Monday as the Queen of Pop�s rep convinced eBay that the items rightfully belonged to the singer. The seller is pretty pissed at that. He still claims that the 12 journals, photos and address books are his. He was expecting to rake in at least $2.5 million from the auction. How can he claim that when the previous owner, a former assistant to Madonna, spoke out to not bid on the items? It goes to show you not to mess with Madonna!

An eBay seller is claiming to have a boatload of Madonna�s personal items, including journals from 1988 to 1992, an address book with famous contacts like Antonio Banderas, Dennis Hopper, Lenny Kravitz, Matt Damon, John Malkovich, Oliver Stone and Al Pacino, as well as personal family pictures. The set, which is now being sold on eBay, is said to have belonged to the Queen of Pop�s personal assistant Melissa Crowe, who worked for the singer from 1987 to 1996. There�s no word yet on how the seller obtained the items but Melissa has told a fan site that she wants the items back and tells fans to not bid on the items. I can only imagine how juicy those journals are.

Bret Michaels Suffers Setback

Bret Michaels has apparently suffered an unfortunate setback. The former Poison lead singer was diagnosed with a side effect that leads to seizures � hyponatremia, which is a lack of sodium in the body. His rep confirms �Michaels remains under 24-hour observation in the ICU and is in positive spirits. He is responding well to tests and treatments. Even though today was a minor setback, doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery.� Despite all that, doctors are �hopeful that Bret will gradually improve as the blood surrounding the brain dissolves and is reabsorbed into his system, which can be a very painful recovery and take several weeks to months.�

Brian replied that he tried twice but the courts went against him. I get how young kids need to stay with their mom but Kerry can�t be anywhere near being fit enough.

Sir Elton John spends his birthday celebrating at HIV awareness centre

Sir Elton John celebrated his 63rd birthday in South Africa – visiting an HIV awareness centre.

The Rocket Man was curious to see how money from his AIDS Foundation had been spent at the centre just outside Cape Town.

So he jetted into South Africa with partner David Furnish and spent his birthday with teenagers from the centre.

Sir Elton has donated $15 million from his charity to help set up projects in the country, to educate youngsters about the dangerous disease and help prevent its spread.

He spent the day with a group of soccer-loving teenagers at the Football for Hope Centre (FFH), set up by the Grassroots Soccer charity.

Sir Elton said: “I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday.”

“Soccer stars are the most powerful role models for young people today so it’s fantastic that organisations like Grassroots Soccer are harnessing that power to educate young people about HIV.”

Justin Bieber is pretty much the king of the Twitter world as the pop star has consistently been in the top 140 most popular Twitter users and is almost always a trending topic on the micro blog site. The singer is also averaging 11,000 new followers daily and is poised to enter the Top 100 by next month. I wonder if he will be able to beat Ashton Kutcher and take the number one spot. Warrant Out for Warrant Singer

The singer responsible for the rock hit �Cherry Pie� is a wanted man once again but this time, it�s a judge who wants an audience with him. It has been reported that a warrant was ironically issue for the former Warrant lead singer Jani Lane last week, after he failed to show up to two court appearances connected to his 2009 DUI conviction. He was supposed to appear in court on February 23 to show the judge he�s completed his alcohol classes and community service but he never showed. The court date was rescheduled for February 24 but he missed that too. The singer is said to be in the hospital and won�t be able to make it to court until next week.
