Blink 182 released the song ”After Midnight”

American band Blink 182 is preparing to release the second single,”After Midnight”, from their latest album,”Neighborhoods”.
The new songs by Blink 182, ”After Midnight” was released on Tuesday, 6th of September, during Zane Lowe’s show on BBC Radio 1, informs Nme.com.
“After Midnight” follows the first single, ”Up All Night”, extracted from the ”Neighborhoods” LP. The album will be released on September 26th and will include 10 songs. The band will also release a deluxe edition of the album, which contains three additional songs.
“Neighborhoods” is the seventh album in the history of the band Blink 182 and the first released since 2003, when their successful album appeared, entitled “Blink 182”.

Porcelain Black has a new music video – This is what Rock’n’Roll Looks Like

The recently discovered singer has just released her first music video for the song “This is what Rock’n’Roll Looks Like”. It’s a bit hard to believe that Porcelain Black was discovered by Lil’ Wayne… she looks a bit more like something Marilyn Manson would promote… well, apart from the dance elements and moves in the video and the song. Lil’ Wayne of course wasn’t going to let Porcelain Black do all of this by herself so he pitches in on the music video a bit as well. The video itself borders somewhere between interesting and annoying: on the one hand you have this weird girl who’s a cross between Lady GaGa and Marilyn Manson, at least at first glance, and her singing’s a bit off too, but not annoying. On the other hand, you have the same old party video with lots of enticing females and what have you. The song doesn’t sound too bad either: a cross between the dance of decades past and something that kind of sounds like Rock’n’Roll. This one is probably going to have a very polarized following.

New Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow Video – Collide

Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow are making me think that they used to be an item – were they or weren’t they? Anyway, the chemistry between the two singers is undeniable especially after having a look at the music video for their latest collaboration “Collide”, which is included on Kid Rock’s latest album “Born Free”. The song is the fifth single to come off of the late 2010 release. I’m totally feeling the sweet country rock sound. Kid Rock and Sheryl sound amazing together. I think they should do more songs together. The video just oozes of some chemistry and love.

Nickelback Lawsuit

Nickelback has recently been slapped with a copyright infringement lawsuit over their song “Figured You Out” as Vancouver band Econoline Crush seems to think that the more popular rock group ripped off their song “All That You Are”. According to legal documents Nickelback “maliciously and willfully and with a conscious disregard” for Econoline Crush’s song. The band is seeking “all damages permitted by Federal copyright law” including actual damages, along with statutory and punitive damages. It’s been years since the song came out, why did they decide to pursue the lawsuit now? I wonder if there are any merits to their claims.

Josh Farro Talks Paramore

It was a bit of a shock to hear about guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro�s departure from Paramore but it seems that the two rock stars have been wanting to leave for quite some time. In an official statement on Josh�s blog, the brothers gave some insight as to what exactly has been going on and what led to their exit. Josh wrote �I had a statement typed ready to post to you guys but Hayley released one without my permission.� The full statement went on about other issues with lead singer Hayley Williams and how she was treated by the label as more important than the rest of the band. Josh even wrote �In reality, what started as natural somehow morphed into a manufactured product of a major label, riding on the coattails of �Hayley�s dream.�� Yikes. What do you have to say about that Hayley?

Grave Robbers Hit Slipknot Bassist

Grave robbers have hit the burial site where Slipknot bassist Paul Gray was laid to rest back in May and took two cherished statues. Due to this horrible crime, the rest of the rock band is on a mission to get the stuff back. The remaining band members posted a message on their website saying �There were statues of a gargoyle as well as a Buddha that were placed at Paul�s grave by his friends and family that were taken. We ask that whoever did this, please return the items no questions asked. If anyone has any information about the stolen items please let us know.�

Slash Wants to Withdraw Divorce

Slash and his wife Perla Ferrar have recently reconciled after initially filing for divorce. Now, the rock star has filed for a dismissal of his divorce in LA County Superior Court. Hopefully, the court will sign off on the dismissal. If both of them want to be back in the marriage, I don�t see any reason why they shouldn�t get a second chance to make things work. I wish them both the best of luck and I hope things will be sweeter for them this time around. They should learn not to rush into making any decisions so no one has to be troubled with this kind of thing again.

On Monday, Slipknot bassist Paul Gray was found dead in his Iowa hotel room but police still have no clue as to what caused the rock star�s death. An autopsy was performed on Tuesday but it yielded no new information. Police are now waiting on the toxicology report, which takes about a month, to determine the cause of death. Police were able to rule out any foul play or trauma to Paul and determined that he had been dead for several hours when his body was finally discovered by a hotel employee. Again, my condolences go out to his family and friends in this difficult time.

Johnny Depp hires ex-SAS members so he can play guitar with Brit band

The British SAS has rescued Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp’s dreams of becoming a rock star.

Two former members of the Special Air Service are to act as “minders” so The Pirates of the Caribbean star can tour with British rockers Babybird.

According to a report in The Sun newspaper, music-loving Depp had begged the Indie rockers to let him play guitar with them.

But the band said no because of security fears, before the star hired the two muscle-bound hardmen.

An insider told The Sun: “These guys are experts in restraint. They don’t mess about and can handle any situation.”

Depp is expected to join Babybird at select gigs and festivals in June and July.

Aimee Mann?s apology to Ice-T

Strange? it looks like the big bowl of dicks policy actually worked. Aimee Mann who recently received a very scathing reply for her criticism of Ice-T?s acting took to her twitter account to mend the wrong and apologize to the rapper and beloved actor. This is what Aimee Mann wrote: “He’s out there doing his job. He doesn’t need any heckling from the peanut gallery. So, I am sorry, Mr. T! You get out there and DO IT! Plus, I do not like to hurt people’s feelings. I forget that Twitter is not just me and four other dorky friends, ragging on TV stars.” Interestingly enough, that sounds about as sarcastic as it does sincere? let?s see if Ice-T picks up on that or he?ll just leave things be.

Creed Comeback Flops

According to Comscore, Creed isn?t having the comeback that they were hoping for. First off, a comeback implies that people are rejoicing that you have returned. But when no one shows up, you might as well have just stayed home. At the past three shows that the returning band played in the New York and New Jersey areas, the venues did not even reach half the capacity. At the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, a venue with room for 25,277 people, only 6,841 people were in attendance. Now that is what you call one epic burn. Pack it up boys, you?re officially done.

Bono and The Edge talk about Spider Man the rock ‘n’ roller

Bono and The Edge have used their background as rock ‘n’ roller kids on the outside, looking in, to write the score for the upcoming Spider Man Turn off The Dark,.

“We were open to the idea of musical theatre but Spider Man – that?s a different thing again,” Bono told Rolling Stone. “Because that?s comic books and there?s a whole series of relationships between punk rock and rock bands and comic books. That goes back years.”

Then U2 frontman then added: “But to mess with all these aspects of pop culture, put ‘em in a blender and see what could come out at the other end …?

The Edge said the film’s hero Peter Parker was like any kid who was a geek and got bullied at school. “He’s not from another planet. He’s not been constructed out of some strange substance. He’s a human being, he’s a kid who came up through a regular high school and got bitten by a spider. It could happen to anyone!

“He’s sort of like every rock and roll star’s story in a weird way. In parallel. Every rock and roll star probably started out as the geek who was bullied in school and eventually their form of revenge was to write songs and play guitar. Or to sing and play drums. And some of us ended up in big bands.”

Bono countered that he was more of a green goblin, saying: “Edge is the nerdy guy.”

The Edge said the audience for rock music and for comic books is the same. It’s “kids like ourselves” at 15 or 16 out in the suburbs. He said: “In in our case [it was] Dublin city but it could be any city in America or in Europe. It seems at that moment in your life that there’s this world out there you just can’t get access to and the only way you can connect with it is through music or comic books or movies.”

Oasis have gone far beyond their lifespan

This is what the band?s former guitarist, Paul ?Bonehead? Arthurs, thinks. The musician believes that Oasis should have chosen to end it in 1996 after the Knebworth Shows. Paul Arthurs said: “I always thought we should have bowed out after the second night at Knebworth. Walking out on that stage gave us a feeling I can’t explain, a sea of people. It was big!” He also added: “I’d never rejoin them – not that I’d be asked. But for one show? Absolutely. I still know the chords to ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star.’” Ah, so it?s no problem to get together for a little gathering every now and again, is it? Paul Arthurs should just admit that he?s hooked on that feeling of singing in front of thousands of people? like any good musician would be. But then again, if he were a drummer?

White Stripes Double Wedding

White Stripes drummer Meg White recently got married to guitarist Jackson Smith, son of rock icons Patti and Fred Smith, in front of a small group of friends and family in Nashville. The couple?s wedding was actually part of a double wedding held in the backyard of band mate and ex-husband Jack White, who lives in an old Southern home about 5 miles out of Nashville. Forget the weirdness it may bring, it?s so cool of Jack to do that for Meg. The other couple who got married was Racounters and Dead Weather bass player Jack Lawrence and his girlfriend Jo McCaughney. I bet that reception was amazing. Congratulations to both happy couples!

Adam Lambert is Queen

After Adam Lambert?s performance with the rock legends Queen on the American Idol finale last week, Queen guitarist Brian May told Rolling Stone magazine that the band is toying around with the idea of the runner up becoming the band?s permanent front man. May said ?”?[Drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with [Lambert] at some point. It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.? It just goes to show that losing American Idol isn?t the end of the world.

Bruce Springsteen to Perform Final Act

Bruce Springsteen recently announced that he and his ?wrecking crew?, the E Street Band, will be the final musical act before Giant Stadium in New Jersey gets demolished after the 2009 football season. If you are a fan of Bruce, you know that he is going to tear that show up. The rock icon has sold out 16 shows at that stadium and 44 shows at the nearby Izod Center. Three shows have been scheduled for September 30, October 2 and October 3. Tickets for the shows will go on sale on June 1. I hope they?re not selling on Ticketmaster. They?ve been screwing up sales for Bruce a couple of times now.

Depeche Mode Postpones More Dates

Depeche Mode has been forced to cancel four more shows recently due to lead singer David Gahan?s severe case of gastroenteritis. In a statement from the band, they said ?Dave is currently undergoing further tests. Depeche Mode apologizes to all their fans for this inconvenience and wish Dave a speedy recovery.? The ?Tour of the Universe? was shut down until May 21 and affected the rock band?s performances in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia. Ticket holders were advised to hold on to their tickets as information about rescheduling/cancellation is still being ironed out. Announcements regarding the cancelled dates will be announced soon.

Adam Lambert blows the crowds away? too bad for the band

The American Idol contestant blew away with his performance yet again. For last evening he went with ?Cryin?? by Aerosmith and his vocal coverage was supposedly excellent? but the band didn?t quite perform up to the singer. Still, the reactions were no less than what was expected. Randy Jackson himself said this about Adam Lambert?s performance: “You should be a rock star! That’s who you are, baby!” It looks like Simon Cowell?s statement is slowly becoming a reality? Adam Lambert has apparently dodged the oncoming bullet once more? gee, what a surprise! Still, there is also tonight to be considered? who knows, the show may yet hold more surprises.

Daughtry Back on American Idol Stage

I?m pretty sure that a lot of people vividly remember when Chris Daughtry was eliminated on American Idol season 5. I think that?s why it?s so great to see him and his band Daughtry back on the Idol stage. If their new single ?No Surprise? is any indication of what their new album ?Leave This Town? will be like, they?ve got another multi-platinum selling album on their hands again. Saliva Release New Video, Reality Show In the Works

Multi-platinum hard-rockers SALIVA have just released the official video for their new single, ?How Could You.? The clip was directed by Scott Culver who has also helmed videos by Ludo and Hellogoodbye among others. The track comes off their latest album, Cinco Diablo which hit stores in late 2008. The Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne) produced set also yielded the radio hit, ?Family Reunion? and ?My Own Worst Enemy? which finds Saliva?s Josey Scott being joined by Shinedown vocalist Brent Smith. The band was scheduled to co-headline this year?s SnoCore tour but Scott had to be operated for an ulcer so Saliva had to bow out of the trek.

Saliva are also working on a reality show that they began filming footage for during the making of Cinco Diablo. The candid look into their rock-n-roll lifestyle, the show will follow them out on the touring circuit and show viewers another side of the band. A pilot has been shot but here are no further details at this time. Expect Saliva to make an announcement in the next few months.
