No Full Length Album from Robyn

After being nominated for a Grammy this past weekend, sources caught up with Robyn to ask her about any upcoming music that she might be releasing. The success of her previous EPs would lead one to believe that the pop singer can handle putting out a full-length album. However, Robyn doesn’t really see the point. She said “The plan is to keep going and recording shorter albums so that I can keep my touring and my recording processes equal. I just want to keep a flow, just stay inspired and keep working, and it feels like it’s possible with this way of working. I wasn’t sure in the beginning if people would get it, but they did, which is really cool. I’m touring a lot more than I thought I would, so I’m very happy about how I’ve been able to connect to my audience.” If that works for her, who am I to argue?

Robyn Hits America

The very talented Robyn is finally releasing her self-released new album in the US and Canada after having a very successful run in the UK. The Swedish dynamo is also coming on her first ever fulltour of North America in support of the album?s release. So far, she only has ten dates listed on her MySpace but this is Robyn we?re talking about. There?s a chance she might add more dates. Her tour will kick off on April 29 at Paradise in Boston. She also makes stops in Philadelphia, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco. Her tour will end (hopefully not yet) on May 17 at Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.
