As promised Rihanna has released her new and highly anticipated remix of “S&M” which features Britney Spears. Apart from a little more electro in the beginning, the song is basically the same… except of course for Britney Spears doing a duet with Rihanna. It doesn’t really sound half bad, but hearing Britney Spears sing the refrain to Rihanna’s “S&M” is a bit strange at first… but everybody will probably get used to it over time. Not a bad remix really… especially given the theme of the song and the fact that it’s sung by Rihanna and Britney Spears which might send a few minds wandering into some directions.

The music business has not been kind to Mariah Carey in the past year. After two push backs and a dismal first release of a studio album last year, the singer?s remix album ?Angels Advocate? has been cancelled only a month away from its release date. A statement from her people confirmed the news but they didn?t say why it has been cancelled. In the meantime, reps for the singer say that she is looking to the future and is in the early stage of constructing a brand new album and maybe even a Christmas album. I say she should just quit when she?s ahead.
Being an internet sensation must be a rough gig. If you don?t know what ?Pants on the Ground? is, then you probably don?t watch American Idol and haven?t gone on the internet within the past two weeks. The man behind the music, General Larry Platt, has seen his little tune become an overnight sensation! What he hasn?t seen though is any money for any of the parodies and remixes that he?s heard of his song. Since he has written the greatest song ever ? his words ? he thinks he deserves to be paid. Thus, he got himself a lawyer in hopes of catching what little money is left to be made off of the craze.

Finally we get some news about Michael Jackson that wouldn?t cause us to cringe or shrug! FOX News is reporting that the King of Pop is putting together a 25th anniversary edition of ?Thriller? and that four of the tracks from the original album are being redone for the new version.
And proving that Jacko still has a lot of pull in the industry, the songs are being redone by the likes of Kanye West, Akon and will.i.am. The songs being redone are ?Billie Jean?, ?The Girl is Mine?, ?Wanna be Starting Something? and ?PYT?.
I wonder if it?s going to be a remix or a duet or what.
