Carson Daly Talks The Voice
Jul 4, 2011 reality show, The Voice
Fresh after last week’s finale, The Voice host Carson Daly spoke to reporters about the changes that the reality TV singing competition will be making for season two. Carson said “[We're] expanding, but not too much. With success in network TV, often they overdo it once they’ve got a hit. They tend to just sort of whore it out, if you will. We’re going to have longer blind auditions. We only had 2 episodes of it this season and all of a sudden we were into the battle rounds. I think there will be at least four weeks of our blind auditions so that people can really sink their teeth into that discovery process.” As for the coaches, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton are all coming back for season two.

The Voice Coaches Perform
Jun 29, 2011 Performance, reality show, The Voice, Video
The top 4 singers on NBC’s The Voice weren’t the only ones who had double duty last night as the coaches hit the stage together to perform Queen and David Bowie’s hit collaboration “Under Pressure”. Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee-Lo Green did a medley of the rock band’s hits earlier this month so I guess they’ve stuck to a theme. If it wasn’t for Adam and Blake though, this performance could have just been cut from the show and I wouldn’t have lost anything. I am really starting to dislike Christina’s need for diva vocal runs and Cee-Lo is just all over the place.
Here are all performances from the last night the Voice show:
The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Opening Number – Blake, Cee Lo, Christina & Adam

The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Vicci & Cee Lo Duet – Love Is A Battlefield
The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Dia & Blake Duet – I Won’t Back Down

The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Beverly & Christina Duet – Beautiful

The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Javier & Adam Duet – Man In The Mirror

The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Javier Colon – Stitch by Stitch

The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Vicci Martinez – Afraid To Sleep

The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Dia Frampton – Inventing Shadows

The Voice 2011 (Finals) – Beverly McClellan – Love Sick

Method Man Injured
Aug 20, 2010 Music, reality show, TV Show
Tila Tequila was recently a casualty at the Gathering of the Juggalos last weekend when audience members threw pretty much everything, including feces, at the reality TV star. She wasn?t the only victim though as Method Man was also subjected to the attack. According to sources, he and fellow rapper Redman were performing at the festival on Sunday night when someone in the audience threw what appeared to be a full beer can at Method Man?s face, resulting in a pretty nasty wound right by the eye. Redman threw expletives at the crowd before telling Method Man to get the cut looked at, however, he refused to stop the show and continued on performing.

Pamela Anderson and Nicole Scherzinger go Gaga on Dancing With The Stars

Pamela Anderson and Nicole Scherzinger went Gaga on Dancing With The Stars.
The Baywatch beauty and Pussycat Doll teamed up for a cha-cha challenge danced to Lady Gaga hit Telephone.
Both stars sizzled in PVC trenchcoats as they appeared on stage with their dancers before ripping them off to reveal skimpy silver-sequinned minis.
Pam got in character with Lady Gaga-inspired gold paint above her eye, while Nicole at times looked like she might lose her top.
Along with their third teammate, American Football star Chad Ochocinco, Team Gaga danced to victory 27-24 over their Team Madonna opponents Niecy Nash, Erin Andrews and Evan Lysacek.
Earlier, Pam had scored her highest points to date with a waltz, earning her and partner Damien Whitewood 24 points.
Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough, also dancing the waltz, managed to get 27 points.
“I just have to say, flat-out, you are by far the best dancer we’ve ever had on this show,? said Carrie Ann Inaba. “You dance almost as Derek’s equal.”
Bruno Tonioli added: “You’re as close to dancing royalty as you can possibly be.?
The highest score in the individual dances, however, was awarded to Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek and his partner Anna Trebunskaya.
“It was just the perfect combination of power, control and sexy in a whole different way!” said Carrie Ann Inaba. Added Bruno Tonioli: “You danced like a true alpha male.?

Eliminated American Idol Contestant Explains
Feb 24, 2010 American Idol, reality show
News came out last week that a contestant who made the Top 24 on American Idol was given the boot because he was supposedly ineligible to participate. Information has come out that Chris Golightly got shafted! The reality TV competition show?s producers received an email shortly after it was announced that the aspiring singer made the Top 24 from his manager saying that he was under contract with another studio, thus his disqualification. The thing is, Chris isn?t under contract as the deal was terminated a month before he auditioned for AI. His manager called the very same day to clear up the mix up but a new contestant had been chosen to replace him by then.

American Idol Hopeful is a Phony
Feb 8, 2010 American Idol, reality show
It seems that one high-pitched American Idol favorite is not who she appears to be ? at least when it comes to her accent. Nicci Nix has been on all sorts of reality shows before with a completely different voice. The wannabe singer has appeared on at least 4 other reality shows before she got to AI, including ?Fear Factor?, ?Next?, ?Making the Band? and ?Date My Mom?. When she appeared on ?Fear Factor?, not only did she go by another name but she claimed to be from California and talked without the slightest hint of an Italian accent. The accent wasn?t there either when she appeared on ?Making the Band?. Her voice sounded deeper then too.

American Idol is on Top
Jan 14, 2010 American Idol, reality show, Simon Cowell
America?s attention was captivated when American Idol?s latest season premiered this past Tuesday. The ninth season of the reality TV talent show kicked off with a bang with the premiere episode drawing almost 30 million viewers to the network. Although the numbers have yet to reach the same heights as the show?s fifth season, Fox was actually prepared for the worst. Considering the exit of fan favorite judge Paula Abdul, the network assumed that the ratings share would go way down compared to last year?s numbers. It may not have happened now but it?s bound to happen next year when Simon Cowell will no longer be part of the show ? if there will still be a show that is.

Spice Girls Reality
Oct 26, 2009 reality show, Spice Girls
With talks of a tour and musical, all that?s left for the Spice Girls is some TV work and it looks like they?re heading that was too. According to reports, the members of the band are planning a reality/talent show to find versions of themselves for the Spice Girls musical. The band?s former manager and mastermind and owner of the Idol shows, Simon Fuller, is helping with the idea. A source said ?It’s a fantastic new way to broaden out the Spice franchise and cash in on their personalities, their story and their songs. The girls would have to work intensely on a TV show for a short period of time. But they then launch a musical which could run for months or even years. It will take on a life of its own. The concept could even be replicated in other countries. The sky is the limit with this one.?

Jon Gosselin was ordered by a court to pay his divorcing wife, Kate, $180,000,

Jon Gosselin was ordered by a court to pay his divorcing wife, Kate, $180,000, according to a source.
The reality stars have been warring since Jon pulled the plug on filming of Kate’s new reality show, Kate Plus 8, by ordering network TLC off his property.
Kate whipped Jon into emergency court to claim $232,000 in funds she alleges he took from a joint bank account.
She claimed he was in contempt of their court order relating to the divorce they both filed for in recent months. Kate’s attorney Mark Momjian stated: “The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date.”
Jon’s deadline for paying the $180,000 is October 26. Kate will have to provide the court with an inventory of her expenses.
