Members of the band Outlaws, created by Tupac Shakur, recently admitted that they smoked the rap star’s ashes at a party held in his memory.
In an interview with Vlad TV, Young Noble and EDI Mean, members of the band Outlawz, have revealed that they smoked the ashes of the dead rap star at a beach party, organized in memory of the artist.
Tupac was gunned down in Las Vegas 15 years ago and, it turns out, had asked that his remains in the form of ashes, to be smoked. At least that’s what the lyrics of the song ‘Black Jesus’ say.
When asked if they smoked, indeed, Tupac’s ashes, Young Noble said: ‘Yes, clearly it’s true … We organized a small party in his memory, along with his mother and family. We went to the beach and we had a lot of things that he liked. Joints, chicken wings, orange juice .. Pac loved that stuff. ”
EDI Mean completed: ‘If you listen to’ Black Jesus’, he says’ ‘Last wishes, niggas smoke my ashes’. It was his desire. Now I do not know how serious he was. We took it seriously. ”
X Factor alum Cher Lloyd recently premiered the official music video for her debut single “Swagger Jagger”. After hearing the track, I had already labeled it as too annoying but the rapper managed to come out with a very cool piece of visual to go with it that has me thinking about giving her single another chance. I’ll probably hate it again after a while but I can’t really deny that the video is cool. I can’t really describe it as anything but very Cher. It also sees the rapper dancing “hood” style over a series of visually-engaging graffiti special effects and green screen sets.

Ja Rule has recently turned himself over to the authorities to begin his two-year prison sentence in New York. The rapper’s executive producer Seven, who was in the courthouse when Ja Rule was waiting to be processed, said that Ja spent some private time with his wife, close friends and family members before he was taken behind closed doors. The last thing Ja said to everyone was “Real life is a fantasy, f**k fame … I’m ready for this to get over with. I am focused.” The rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, was hit with a 2-year sentence in 2010 when he pled guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, stemming from a 2007 incident in which cops found a loaded semi-automatic handgun in his car.
It looks like the rapper is going to have to take his difficulties elsewhere. It seems that Eminem and his producers, F.B.T. Production Company, have entered into a bit of a legal conflict with Universal Music Group over the download of some of Eminem’s songs and ringtones. Supposedly the profits should be split 50-50 between the two parties, but Eminem and his producers are receiving 12% from the physical album sales… and this is probably wrong in some way, or at least Eminem and F.B.T. believe so. But the Supreme Court isn’t going to be taking on this case so it looks like they’re going to have to find another, more civilized way to handle this. Maybe a local mafia chief would do the trick.
Snoop Dogg has paid his respects to his friend and former 213 band mate, Nate Dogg, who passed away on Tuesday. The rapper took to his Twitter to say “We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met. I love u buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day u put the g n g funk u put the 1 n 213 n u put yo stamp on evrybdy u ever didit wit. British rapper Chipmunk has chosen the track “In the Air”, his duet with R&B singer Keri Hilson, as the official second single from his upcoming studio album “Transition”, which will be available in UK stores on April 18th. It’s a nice collaboration. Keri’s part on the song is catchy and her vocals are super sweet. Chipmunk also kills it in his verses, showing some good energy. With it’s feel-good mid tempo, it’s a winner to me. Let’s see if Keri can help Chipmunk gain his first number 1. His previous single “Champion” which featured Chris Brown peaked at #2 on the UK charts.

Pitbull has a new song out in the form of his collaboration with Ne-Yo, Nayer and Afrojack called “Give Me Everything”. The song is the official second single from the rapper’s upcoming studio album “Planet Pit”, which is expected to drop in stores this summer. The song is a certified club banger and in my opinion should be able to hit the top 10 of any chart. If all his fans thought that his late 2010 hit “Hey Baby” was great, “Give Me Everything” is even better. It’s infectious and I’m looking forward to hit the dance floor when this song comes on.

It looks like becoming an actor wasn’t enough for 50 Cent as the rapper has decided to get more involved with movies behind the scenes with his new production company Mayweather Productions. 50 Cent’s partner in the new venture, Floyd Mayweather Jr., spoke about the company saying “We’re going to do what we normally do: sit in a room and brainstorm and try to come up with new ideas … you know, outside the box. Be creative and just work together and try to be positive. That’s the main thing. It’s about working hard, being positive and working together.” I’m entirely sure of this but it’s his money that’s getting wasted.
Jay Sean is back with a new single called “Hit the Lights” which features rapper Lil Wayne. The song is a definite club banger. The J-Remy and Bobbygass-produced track will officially be released in the UK on February 8th. Jay’s new studio album “Freeze Time” will hit stores two weeks later on February 22nd. I think this song is going to kill on the radio. The singer’s latest track needs to get to number one because I think it’s miles better than “2012”. But if he’s planning to release this in the US, he better ask for some help with Lil Wayne if he wants to score another number one on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Nas just had his child and spousal support obligations sliced in half but he still has to pay his ex-wife Kelis a pretty penny. According to legal documents filed in LA County Superior Court, the rapper must now pay just a bit over $5000 a month in child support and $20,000 a month in spousal support. It sounds like a lot but Nas was actually paying twice that until he convinced the judge that the bad economy has hit even the rap business hard. Add the fact that hes not really working and there you go. So this month, Nas gets to pocket an extra $25,000 for himself.
Pitbull recently premiered the music video for Hey Baby (Drop it to the Floor). The song is the official lead single from the rappers upcoming album Planet Pit which is set to hit stores on December 14th. The song was produced by French electro-house producer Sandy Vee and also features auto-tune king T-Pain. Its the type of song that grows on you the more you hear it but Im sad that Pitbull is going in a new direction with his music and decided to drop the Latin flavor that made me love him in the first place. As for the video, its just like any club-themed video with Pitbull and T-Pain having a great time.

Kanye Wests Twitter account is quickly becoming one of the biggest pages on the social networking site. But while the rapper may already have over half a million followers, he only had one person in the universe that he was following. At least that was the case last week. I went to check his page earlier this week only to find out that a big fat zero was hanging out on his page in the following section. I have to assume that Kanye decided to delete who he was following. If you remember, the random guy he chose to follow wasnt exactly grateful for having to be the only one followed. I guess thats why.
Drake is the latest celebrity to have a plane named after him on Virgin Airlines thanks to Sir Richard Branson. The singer/rapper is also the first hip hop artist to have a commercial plane named after him. Air Drake is in the Virgin America fleet and will fly between Drakes native Toronto and California destinations. Branson said We’re honored to name our plane Air Drake. He’s Canadian through and through; he’s one of the most successful Canadians. He bridges the gap between Canada and America very successfully. I wonder if Drake will get any perks if he flies in his own plane.
Where fame and success go, lawsuits are soon to follow. Drake has learned that as the singer/rapper is facing a lawsuit from Playboy Enterprises for what they claim is a copyright infringement in his breakthrough hit Best I Ever Had. The lawsuit, filed against Drake, Cash Money Records, Universal Music Group and Universal Music Group Distribution, asserts that the song illegally samples Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds 1975 song Fallin in Love, the rights of which are owned by Playboy. According to documents Each Defendant either knew, or should have reasonably known, that the sound recording ['Fallin in Love'] was protected by copyright. Each Defendant continues to infringe upon Plaintiff’s right in and to the copyrighted sound recording.
Jay-Z spends roughly around $250,000 to spend 55 hours on a private jet and thats with a celebrity discount. However, according to a new lawsuit, the rapper never paid the entire cost to fly in style. Jay-Z is being sued by Air Platinum Holding, a private jet company which claims that the rap mogul spent 55 hours on their planes back in 2009 but only paid for 37 hours of service. The lawsuit also claims that the rapper flaked out on other payments. It breaks down to 18 hours of flight time for $81,000, catering for 17 domestic flights for $8,500, catering for 4 international flights for $3000, international fees for $8,500, taxes for $12,285 and a luxury trip to England for $24,200. This is why most people just fly coach.
Chamillionaire had his Houston mansion repossessed by the bank after it went into foreclosure. Dont feel bad for the rapper though because he claims that it was a calculated business decision. He bought the 7,583 sq. foot home in 2006 for $2 million but failed to make several payments. The rapper said that he decided to let go of the house because the real estate market has turned. Chamillionaire also noted that he was never at home anyway. He said I was always on the road touring. I just didn’t feel like it was a good business investment to pay that much mortgage for a house I was never at. I still got all the cars. Wouldnt it have been a better decision to sell it instead of messing up your credit?
Rapper Waka Flocka Flame, who recently recorded a video with P. Diddy, was arrested last week and he won?t be getting out any time soon. The rapper, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, is on probation in Georgia for possessing a sawed-off shotgun. Cops say that he violated his probation by leaving the state. Waka is being held without bail at the Houston County Jail until he is scheduled to make his court appearance in a few weeks. It seems that the only good thing going for him right now is that his song ?O Let?s Do It? is moving up the charts.
I was really upset to find out last year that Beastie Boys rapper Adam ?MCA? Yauch was diagnosed with salivary gland tumor but I?m happy to report that he is now on his way to making a full recovery. Now that he?s well, the band is ready to start working on their new album ?Hot Sauce Committee, Part 1?, which was postponed indefinitely after Adam?s diagnosis. Adam said ?I feel better. It was touch and go there for a while, but I am finally getting my energy back. It was really disappointing to have to hold the record and postpone the tour, but doctor?s orders. We may or may not [release the album] depending on how my health is come September. We want to but we have to play it by ear? We finished the record over a year ago, so we want to take a look at it and re-evaluate and make sure it is what we want to put out there and that we are still happy with it. I don?t think we will change it up too much.?
Lil Wayne has finally been sentenced and has started his one-year prison term this Monday for attempted gun possession. It was originally delayed so that the rapper could undergo eight root canals and again delayed after a fire broke out in the Manhattan Criminal Court Building. Last I heard, Lil Wayne was still undergoing medical exams but a New York corrections offer explains how the rapper?s time will be in jail. ?He’ll be housed with inmates who are classified in his category, and he’ll be able to be a regular inmate. He’ll be able to watch television, go into the day room and congregate with people of his classification. He’ll have no preferable treatment at all. He’ll be treated like a regular inmate.?
Lil Wayne is the luckiest guy on earth ? sort of. The rapper was scheduled to be formally sentenced to a year in prison earlier this week for illegally being in possession of a loaded gun. However, due t his ridiculous grill and the surgery it will need to get fixed, Lil Wayne was granted an extension. His oral surgery is scheduled for Friday, but he won?t have to face the judge again until March 2. I think that?s pretty ridiculous. If he?s gone that long with his teeth looking like gum wrappers, he can serve his time in prison with it too.
Lil Wayne is one very lucky guy. The rapper?s tour bus was detained in Falfurrias, Texas last week after Border Patrol officers found some marijuana on board. The great part about it for Lil Wayne was that he managed to escape a citation. He and 11 others were questioned by Border Patrol last Friday night and a couple of the guys in his crew were cited for possession. The rapper obviously dodged the bullet big time or he would be serving more time in jail on top of the time he?s set to serve starting in early February. When is this guy going to learn?
I thought stoners were typically peaceful and non-violent but that was thrown out the window when a concertgoer threw a wallet at Kid Cudi during the rapper?s concert at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver this past Friday night. The rapper then hopped off of the stage and threw a punch over the barricade ? at the wrong person! Oops! I believe that it?s about time for someone to get a lawyer and set things right. Of all the things to throw, why a wallet? Unless it doesn?t have any cash in it and no identification, the guy who threw it is absolutely stupid.
It seems that Lil Wayne?s new record is finally getting a release date. The rapper?s album ?Rebirth? was originally set to have gone out this past April. However, after many delays, it kept getting pushed back. Now, the so called rock oriented album will be hitting the stores this December 15th, just in time for the holidays! However, the album?s lead single ?Prom Queen? which was released back in January failed to get much popularity. That means that he needs to come out with a hot new single in the next couple of weeks to get some good promotion for the album.
Rapper 50 Cent has revealed he spends a whopping US$20,000 a week on security, he says.
The star, who has been shot nine times, has his entire house surrounded by CCTV cameras to ensure his safety.
50 Cent, who’s real name is Curtis Jackson, also hires bodyguards when he travels, pushing his security bill up to US$1.6 million a year.
He explained: “I spend US$20,000 a week on security. My home is surrounded by cameras.
“I need surveillance not only to look out for me, but also to protect me. You get all these crazy lawsuits and I need cameras to check on things.”
An insider close to the rapper added: “He has armed security with him 24 hours of the day – even while he’s sleeping.
“And every member of his team is a trained professional – some of them ex-secret service… He’s as safe as the president of the United States.”

Just last month, it was reported that Lil Wayne became a father by his baby mama, actress Lauren London, who gave birth to a baby boy. That was the rapper?s third kid. He already had one with his ex-wife and some college student. However, it was also reported back in June that singer Nivea Hamilton was rumored to be pregnant with Lil Wayne?s kid too. Months later, the rapper has confirmed the news during a BBC interview where Lil Wayne said that he and Nivea are expecting a baby boy. That kid will be the fourth for the rapper. Someone needs to learn how to use a condom.
Here?s a really odd couple for you ? Taylor Swift and T-Pain. Who would have even dreamed of these two together? The country singing cuties and the rapper collaborated on a photo shoot for the upcoming CMT Awards. Taylor was pictured in all out street wear, complete with the sideways cap and baggy clothes.
