Lady Gaga is featured on the cover of the October 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, which hits newsstands on September 27. The 25-year old pop singer talked to the magazine about her body image and self-confidence, saying “I’m very free-spirited. Even when I was a kid, I used to run around naked with the babysitter, driving her crazy. I do yoga, I do Bikram and I run, and I eat really healthy. You know, my work sort of feeds me. I keep in shape by working hard.” Lady Gaga, who had a natural look going for her on the cover, also talked about staying true to herself, saying “Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”
“Glee” actor Cory Monteith is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Parade magazine, which is out this Sunday. The 29-year old star told the magazine that by the age of 13, he was skipping school to drink and do drugs. Cory went to rehab at the age of 19 and was given an ultimatum by his family to get clean or be sent to jail. Cory said “I was done fighting myself. I finally said, ‘I’m gonna start looking at my life and figure out why I’m doing this.’ I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too. But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can.”

Beyonce is featured on the cover of the July issue of Dazed & Confused magazine. The summer music special features the 29-year old R&B singer/actress in what the magazine calls “a scorching hot trailer park fantasy”. When asked about taking her little time away from the music industry, Beyonce said “I needed some time to live. I’ve been signed to the same label since I was 12 years old and never had more than a month and a half off since I was 13. I’ve worked so hard for so many years and just felt like, ‘Well, why not?’” She definitely deserved that break but it’s also great to see and hear her new music.

If you thought Lady Gaga’s performance at the 2011 Grammy Awards was epic, then you obviously missed out on Eminem’s time on the stage. The Grammy-award winning rapper wasn’t alone though. Rihanna, with Adam Levine on piano and backup vocals, opened up the set with “Love the Way You Lie (Part 2)”. After the R&B superstar did her thing, they quickly transitioned into “I Need a Doctor” with Skylar Grey and rap legend Dr. Dre. With the song, video and the performance, could Dr. Dre’s return be upon us? I’m really hoping it is. And if the reaction of the crowd was anything to go by, he’s definitely got a huge welcome waiting for him.

During the Milwaukee auditions of the show, one of the people who went for the gold was a 26 year-old Chicago native, Chris Medina. He sang “Break Even” by The Script and he did a damn good job of it apparently. Without any synths or chorus or instruments backing him, he actually made it sound very good so he got a yes from all three of the judges. However, Chris Medina’s motivation for being on the show has a rather inspiring story behind it which he tells during the audition. It does seem like he is a man of character. That probably did impress the judges along with his singing. Hopefully going to Hollywood and through the whole American Idol process won’t change him too much. Definitely one to keep an eye out for.

Adam Levine recently went naked for a good cause. With only a pair of female hands covering up the rock stars dirty bits, the 31-year old Maroon 5 lead singer stripped down to encourage men to check for signs of prostate and testicular cancer. The hot pictures of Adam are featured in the February 2011 issue of UKs Cosmopolitan. Even if no one gets a glimpse of his dirty bits, its safe to assume that Adams girlfriend, Victorias Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, is one lucky girl just by looking at that hot body. The 2010 American Music Awards were held live at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles this past Sunday and the winners are in! The night went to pop singer Justin Bieber who went home with all four of the awards that the teen sensation was nominated for, including Artist of the Year. Eminem and Usher took runner up spots, both taking home two awards. Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Shakira, Muse, Michael Buble and MercyMe went home with an award each. It seems like the honeymoon is over for TI and his wife Tameka Tiny Cottle. The couple was arrested late Wednesday night for possession of a controlled substance. The rapper and his former singer wife got in trouble during a traffic stop when cops smelled marijuana coming from their car. This could be very bad news for TI who is currently on a three-year probation after being charged and jailed in 2008 for unlawfully possessing firearms as a convicted felon. He needs to get his act together. It seems like it was just a short while ago since he was released on his weapons charges and now he may have to go back into the slammer for drugs.

U2 Announces European Tour Dates for 2010
In the midst of the North American leg of their 360? Tour, U2 has announced their fall 2010 European Tour dates. The 12-stop tour will hit Germany, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Austria, Greece, Turkey, France, Spain, and Portugal. I know you were tuned in to the results show of this week of American Idol. We were down to the Top 24, and it was time for 4 of them to go home – 2 guys, 2 girls.
The first contestant to be sent home was Garrett Haley, the likeable Leif Garrett lookalike. After that, they sent out Amy Davis, a talented but forgetable singer. Next for the guys was Colton Berry, another young one who Simon told to just “get a good job”. Finally, in a surprise move, Joanne Borgella was sent home for the girls.
It is sure to be a wild season full of surprises. We’ll see who ends up at the top in the end.
This was perhaps my favorite moment of the Grammys, although Beyonce and Tina Turner rocked. Rihanna and Jay-Z won for best rap/song collaboration for “Umbrella”.
When the two made it up on stage, Rihanna made it clear that SHE was there to accept the award. As Jay-Z approached her side at the microphone, she held up a hand and kept him at a distance while she made her speech.

Either way, Kanye paid a touching tribute to his mom, Donda West who died suddenly last year. He hit his knees while performing his song, “Hey Mama” and showcasing her name shaved into the back of his head.
When he won his grammy, he also gave props to Mama. As he used up his time, the music started playing. When he started talking about his mother, he quickly told them that the proper thing to do would be to stop the music. They did, and he continued.
He didn’t win Album of the Year, but it was a great night for Kanye after all.
The very beautiful and talented Leona Lewis is in Los Angeles. The X Factor champ is slated to perform at music mogul Clive Davis? annual pre-Grammy party this weekend. The ?Bleeding Love? singer was at her rehearsal on Thursday where she revealed that we should expect something juicy at the Brit Awards for which she received 4 nominations. The Brit Awards will be on later this month and I wish Leona all the best. But in the meantime, she looks like she?s getting ready to take over this side of the pond. Next on her list, the rest of the world!
Nickelback front man Chad Kroeger was spotted by paparazzi earlier this week but it looks like he?s been bitten by the shyness bug. The rocker actually reminded photographers that he?s a nobody saying that he doesn?t ?sell magazines, so f**k off?. Well that wasn?t very ?rock star? of him. I would have at least expected a photographer to get punched and more swearing to come from him.
Chad?s wanting to be ignored went nowhere though because despite knowing just how worthless he is, he still managed to go home with an SUV full of chicks. Now that?s what being a rock star is about!
