Although Timbaland has a lot of major contributors to his new album ‘Shock Value II’, the producer was surprisingly taken with Miley Cyrus. He said “Man, she’s gonna be like Justin [Timberlake]. She comes from that same musical background, where she’s just got it. Her voice is just there. The best way to put it is she’s special. When I worked with her, I was very impressed. I was like, ‘Whoa.’” I know how the Disney star is coming off as some sort of sensation but I doubt that Miley’s going to achieve the same thing that Justin has. And considering what the pop/R&B singer has done with his career, I doubt anyone would want to be compared to the guy.

Miley Cyrus is a Fraud

Miley Cyrus recently admitted that she’s actually never heard a Jay-Z song, referencing her current Top 40 hit, ‘Party in the USA’, adding that she doesn’t really listen to pop music. I don’t think that the rapper’s music can be considered as pop but whatever. Miley pretty much bashed the song saying that it’s not even her style of music. She said “I don’t know, I didn’t write the song, so I have no idea. Honestly, I picked that song because I needed something to go with my clothing line. I didn’t write it and … I didn’t expect it to be popular, originally. It was just something that I wanted to do, and I needed some songs and it turned out for the best.”

Miley Cyrus’ Stalker is Free

Miley Cyrus’ alleged stalker will not be facing any attempted stalking charges after a jury ruled that there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him. Mark McLeod was arrested twice over the summer when the Disney star was filming ‘The Last Song’ in Georgia. Not only did he make inappropriate comments to some of the singer/actress’ fans but he also claimed that he was engaged to Miley who sent him secret messages on ‘Hannah Montana’. However, the grand jury at the Chatham County State Court had the final say on what happens to him and they agreed that they couldn’t indict him due to the lack of evidence. Here’s to hoping that he doesn’t cause any more problems.

Miley Cyrus is a Bad Influence

According to a recent online poll, Miley Cyrus is considered to be the worst celebrity influence of 2009. I could have told you that without the poll. The singer managed to rack up a whopping 42% of the votes for that category, edging out Britney Spears and Kanye West. Considering the recent happenings regarding the rapper, you know it’s bad when you’re voted to be worse than he is. Sources are chalking it up to the fact that she’s seeking a career separate from Disney and her alter-ego Hannah Montana. It really sounds like Miley is heading down the same path that Britney did.

Reason Why Miley Cyrus Left Twitter

Miley Cyrus took to her official website to talk more in depth about why she really deleted her Twitter account. In a lengthy blog post, the singer wrote “I often complain to the ones closest to me that I don’t seem to have much of a private life any more and part of that is my fault. How can I whine about my life being to public if I am the one telling the world what I am doing? Some things in my life need to say in my life only and not on some gossip site. I never want any of my fans to feel like I don’t love them or care about them BUT, sharing the same love and respect for me I need to have the space to grow as a person and make some mistakes.”

Miley Cyrus Talks Song Writing

In an attempt to promote her new album ‘The Time of Our Lives’, Disney star Miley Cyrus divulges to the Associated Press about the thousands of songs that she’s written. The singer talked about writing songs that’s too personal, saying “Yes, sometimes I write songs just to write them. I have written thousands of songs that are just for me. I will even play them for my friends, and they will say, ‘Will that be on your next record?’ and I’ll say, ‘No, that was just for me. That was just for my peace of mind.’ And I think that is important to do that. Not always writing a song and be like, ‘Oh, that is going to be on a record.’ If it sounds great and it is something that you think goes along with the album that you are putting together, that is awesome. If not then it’s cool. It doesn’t matter.”

The fact that her movie just got pushed back doesn’t seem to have any effect on Miley Cyrus as she continues to live large. After her concert at the Staples Center on Tuesday night, sources say that the singer showed up at the newly opened Katsuya LA live with an entourage of 100 people. The Disney star wanted a little privacy for her group so she bought out the restaurant for the night. Miley danced the night away while sipping on Katsuya’s Watermelon Elixir. It’s not an alcoholic beverage but let’s be honest – if she wanted one, she could have one.

Joe Jonas Outs Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus

Larry King managed to get some interesting information during his interview last week with the Jonas Brothers – Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas have reconnected. The TV host asked Joe Jonas is his girlfriend was as famous as Nick’s girlfriend, to which Joe replied, “No, I don’t think anyone’s as famous as Miley Cyrus!” I find it funny that it was Joe who pretty much outed his younger brother as he was preaching about wanting to keep their private lives out of the public eye a few minutes before being asked that question. Miley and Nick previously dated back in 2007.

The singer and actress surprised people in Georgia when she took a break from filming “The Last Song” and sat in with a band performing at a beachside seafood restaurant and played two songs. The restaurant’s owner related the reactions of those present there: “By the time she finished the first song, there must have been 50 little girls and their moms who came rushing up.” Apparently, they also had a bit of a hard time getting Miley Cyrus out of the restaurant afterwards, the owner relates: “We asked her, `What do you wanna do?’ and she said `I want to get out of here.’ So we walked her to a side entrance nobody knew about and got her in her car.” Oh, Miley Cyrus’ promoters will probably be furious about this one. Singing unscheduled songs for free just for the fun of it? How utterly unartistic and unprofessional!

Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus Duet

Did you know that Nick Jonas has a duet with his ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus on the Jonas Brothers’ new album? The song is called ‘Before the Storm’. In their case, shouldn’t it have been called ‘After the Storm’? I wonder if this caused any trouble for Miley and her older boyfriend Justin Gaston. But wait! The singer and the model have reportedly broken up as things between them have been rocky for a while. I wonder if Nick being in Miley’s life had anything to do with it. The Jonas Brother was seen having lunch with Miley a couple of months back.

Miley Cyrus Goes on Tour

Good news for all you tweenies out there, Miley Cyrus is going on tour! Unfortunately for everyone older, we’re going to have to tolerate her music to chaperone the kids. The ‘Hannah Montana’ star’s North American Tour will kick off on September 14 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon and wrap up on December 2 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. She has 45 stops in her tour so there are a lot of tickets to get your grubby little hands on. I just hope that no one takes advantage of the kiddies and scalp tickets for ridiculously high prices like last time.

Miley Cyrus Wins at MTV Movie Awards

Miley Cyrus attended the 2009 MTV Movie Awards which was held at the Gibson Amphitheatre this past Sunday in Universal City, California. The 16-year old ‘Hannah Montana’ star snagged herself one of those golden pop corn trophies for her hit song ‘The Climb’ from ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’ which won Best Song From a Movie. It’s pretty clear that tweenies had a majority vote in the awards ceremony considering there were songs in that category that was much more deserving of the win. Oh well, congratulations to Miley on the win regardless. It will probably be the only award she would win anyway.

Jonas Brothers on the Outs

Are the Jonas Brothers already running out of steam? Even though 4 million tweens and parents tuned in to the Disney Channel’s premiere of the band of brothers’ show ‘Jonas’, the new series failed to bring in the big numbers that Disney was hoping for. In fact, the show had the lowest rated premiere of a live action series for the channel since 2005! Even Miley Cyrus has bypassed them in the ratings. The latest episode of ‘Hannah Montana’ premiered to almost 1 million more viewers than that of ‘Jonas’. It’s not much of a surprise though considering her ‘Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour’ earned a cool $40 million more than the Jonas Brothers’ 3D box office under performer. It looks like their star is losing light faster than anyone thought.

Billy Ray Cyrus is Mad at Jamie Foxx

Billy Ray Cyrus refused to comment after that whole Jamie Foxx radio show incident where the singer and actor ripped Miley Cyrus apart with his comments. Instead, a rep said “Billy Ray isn’t going to say anything publicly because he doesn’t want to this to escalate. He wishes it would just go away.” But then Billy Ray went on the ‘Bonnie Hunt Show’ and he forgot that the show goes public. Despite the fact that Jamie has already publicly apologized, Billy Ray went on to say on the show that “It was hurtful. There wasn’t nothing funny about it. And, quite frankly, I think if I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic.” Actually, I really think that Jamie’s comments were funny.

Billy Ray Cyrus Bombs

Billy Cyrus promoted the heck out of his new album all over the place this past week but how far did the self-promoting get the one hit wonder? Absolutely nowhere. Hits Daily Double has predicted that Miley’s dad’s album ‘Back to Tennessee’ will only sell 10,000 to 15,000 copies in its opening week. It looks like Billy Ray’s album plug disguised as an intro to Miley’s performance at the recent ACMs didn’t help sales one bit. I can’t believe he honestly thought that he had a chance at a music career past ‘Achy Breaky Heart’. Their family is just filled with delusional wannabes.

Radiohead Disses Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus was on the JohnJay and Rich radio show in Arizona last week where she recounted a cold shoulder graced upon her by Radiohead during the Grammys. The Hannah Montana star begged her manager for an introduction but the band blew her off saying “Yeah, we don’t really do that” which prompted her to leave the show all together. She said “I’d already texted all my friends, we were all freaking out. This is someone who I like would have cried to [have met]. Stinkin’ Radiohead!” Unlike Miley Cyrus, the guys of Radiohead only hang out with people around the same age, intelligence level and talent level.

She better enjoy all the glory while she?s on top because her days as the new sensation are numbered. I doubt she?s going to have staying power but as of right now, Miley Cyrus has the #1 album in America. The Disney skank?s new record ?Breakout? sold 371,000 copies this past week which makes it the second biggest debut by a female artist this year. She only came in behind Mariah Carey?s first week sales of 463,000 for ?E=MC2? in April. Congratulations go out to Miley. I hope you don?t blow it all on a new camera to take even more skanky pictures of yourself.
