Joe Jonas and Lil Wayne Collaborate on Remix – Just in Love
Joe Jonas is really desperate to get his solo career off the ground, so much so that he’s recruited Lil Wayne to join him on the official remix of his single “Just in Love”. The pop singer may be delirious because he’s not getting any urban airplay if that’s what he was going for. As for the remix, Joe’s vocals, lyrics and the song’s beat are the same, with the addition of Lil Wayne adding some rap verses. Unfortunately for Joe, they don’t really add anything good to the song. I was actually anticipating Joe’s solo debut after hearing “See No More” but after “Just in Love” and hearing other leaked tracks, let’s just say he’s lucky that he’s pretty.
Justin Bieber has brought back his rapper alter ego Shawty Mane for this fresh remix of Lil Wayne’s latest smash hit “How to Love”. The teen pop singer kept the entirety of the original lyrics and even added a whole new rap verse. He definitely shows off his talent on the sweet acoustic number from “Tha Carter IV”. A couple of demos of Justin as Shawty Mane have leaked recently and is making me think that a rap album or mix tape might be in the works. I think he’ll do it one day. He obviously likes that type of music.
Lil Wayne teams up with R&B/pop singer Bruno Mars in a track called “Mirror”. The song is a bonus track included on the deluxe version of the rapper’s latest album “Tha Carter IV”. This thing came out of nowhere! If you didn’t have enough reasons to buy this album, now you do. “Mirror” is an absolute smash, in my opinion. And if Lil Wayne is smart, he’ll release this as a single ASAP. Bruno is a pretty hot thing in the music industry and everybody just loves the guy. Featuring him on a track is a guarantee that radios will eat this up.

Lil Wayne’s album “Tha Carter IV” is out today! The recording process of the album has been a long journey and I hope it’s worth all the wait. The rapper was supposed to put it out immediately after the third installment of the “Tha Carter” series, which was released in the summer of 2008. However, he didn’t want a new album so soon, especially after “Tha Carter III”, which he had in high regard. After releasing two records, “Rebirth” and “I Am Not a Human Being”, Lil Wayne found himself going to jail, spending 2010 in prison. When he got out, he was finally ready to work on “Tha Carter IV”. Justin Bieber has a lot going on for him these days, but the pop singer hopes that he’ll be getting back into the studio some time soon. When he does, Justin is hoping to work on a new duet with none other than Lil Wayne. However, the rapper is apparently not too keen on the idea. It’s not because he doesn’t love the kid, but because he’s afraid of what it’s going to do with his image. Lil Wayne explained “That’s my little homie now. He texts me every night asking me to do [his] damn song. That’s my n**ga, but I can’t do it. Like I said, I don’t want to f**k his s**t up.” To be honest, I can’t really see Lil Wayne toning it down to meet Justin’s audience, nor can I see Justin maturing to meet Lil Wayne’s audience.
It has been confirmed that Justin Bieber is scheduled to make an appearance at the BET Awards. How could the most popular act in the music business not make an appearance at the annual hip hop and R&B award show anyway? Note my sarcasm. The 17-year old pop, I reiterate, pop singer joins a list of other artists including Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Kelly Rowland, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, DJ Khaled and Jill Scott. If Chris Brown is performing, I’m willing to bet that Justin will perform alongside him with their collaboration “Next 2 You”.
Enrique Iglesias has recently premiered the music video for his song “Dirty Dancer” via VEVO. The track is the latest single from the pop singer’s album “Euphoria”. The clip for the RedOne-produced track was directed by Ethan Lader, who has previously directed videos for Mariah Carey, BoB and Bruno Mars. For a high-budget and futuristic-themed video, the concept for Enrique’s video was quite simple. It serves its purpose well enough thought and is in line with the song’s lyrics so I guess it’s not really a bad thing. Check it out so you can see for yourself exactly what I mean.

It’s not the typical material from Lil Wayne but I actually like it. Drake better watch out because he may have some competition when it comes to this style of music. Lil Wayne shows off a softer side in this new song, mostly singing instead of rapping throughout the guitar-driven production. Once you get used to the idea of Lil Wayne as a singer, you’ll get into the song. It’s been on repeat ever since I heard it.

It seems the rapper who is probably very famous given how many music videos he appears in isn’t in such good relations with good old Uncle Sam, especially when it comes to taxes. It seems the IRS have done a little digging on Lil’ Wayne and they found that he currently owes over 5.6 million dollars in unpaid taxes… and that’s just for 2008 and 2009. But Lil’ Wayne will soon be releasing his long awaited next album and that’s probably going to bring him a little extra money to help him pay these outstanding bills he has. After all, it’s not very nice for an upstanding citizen such as him to owe so much to his beloved country.
The rapper has recently announced that he has finished his new album, “Tha Carter IV” and has also revealed its release date. This is what Lil’ Wayne said about his upcoming album: “Tha Carter IV is done. All they need to do is tell Tez to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out. May 16, believe that. It can come out tomorrow ’cause I’m so finished…Tha Carter IV will be dropping May 16. If you’re not doing anything, do me.” Is Lil’ Wayne getting happy with anything again lately? It sure sounds like he’s not really that much in the zone he’s supposed to be in.
It looks like Lil Wayne has become quite popular with the female population in the music industry. Last week, Nicki Minaj was all too excited about going on tour with her fellow rapper. Now, Jennifer Lopez is giddy about collaborating with him on her upcoming single “I’m Into You”. The pop singer and American Idol judge said “My next single I believe will be a song called I’m Into You and it’s gonna feature Lil Wayne, so look out for that. To me just the things he says and the way he says it is very unique, and I feel like he has a fresh new voice. He might be one of the best out there right now. The rapper has recently released a new song called “Green & Yellow”. This is quite the interesting piece because it’s actually about the Super Bowl game that is coming up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. It would appear that Lil’ Wayne is quite the Packers fan and he has expressed his passion for the team the best way he can: through song. It’s not a bad piece, actually, a very inspired combination of an active electo/dance rhythm in the background and Lil’ Wayne’s trademark squeaky vocals. But they do go pretty well with the song itself and it’s a worthy homage to the Green Bay Packers. Lil’ Wayne even promises a Super Bowl party if the Green & Yellow manage to take home the title this year.

Jay Sean is back with a new single called “Hit the Lights” which features rapper Lil Wayne. The song is a definite club banger. The J-Remy and Bobbygass-produced track will officially be released in the UK on February 8th. Jay’s new studio album “Freeze Time” will hit stores two weeks later on February 22nd. I think this song is going to kill on the radio. The singer’s latest track needs to get to number one because I think it’s miles better than “2012”. The politician said My daughter introduced me to rap and hip-hop music, after I said some things she thought were not very smart. She said, ‘Dad you need to listen, a lot of these people are smart.’ This guy’s (Lil Wayne) smart and he’s got ability and he’s got a new chance now A lot of these people (rappers) they don’t get successful by being really dumb, they’re really smart. But a lot of them have had really tough lives and they almost think its cool to get in trouble every now and then or they don’t know how to stay out. What I hope will happen is that he has a good life now.
It seems that the rapper is a real thrill seeker. As if being in prison because he broke some rules wasnt enough, Lil Wayne decided that he would like to break the prison rules too. So he hid a charger and headphones for a digital player somewhere in his cell. The items were found and Lil Wayne got solitary confinement for the remainder of his sentence which means that he will be all on his own with regards to socializing except for one phone call per week and time spent with his lawyer. It seems that Lil Wayne is going to have to become very, very good friends with his lawyer if he doesnt want to go insane.
It seems that Eminem is really bent on promoting this new style of his and he got Lil Wayne to help him. Even though still incarcerated, it appears that Lil Wayne can still shoot a video or two every now and again. And Eminem has been generous: almost half of the whole thing is Lil Wayne speaking even though hes just supposed to be featured in the video. But hey, when youve got friends in high places and you find somebody who wants to spice-up his fan base with a little extra attention, you get more than you ever expect.

Heres to hoping that Lil Wayne remains behaved in prison as the rappers new album Tha Carter IV is set to be released on November 5, the same day that he is tentatively slated to be released from jail. The president of Lil Waynes Young Money Crew talked about the new album, saying Tha Carter IV plans we had and still have are to put Tha Carter IV out the day he comes out [of prison]. He had so many songs for Tha Carter IV, we said let’s just put these 10 songs out [on I Am Not a Human Being] and double-back for Tha Carter IV. He has more songs for Tha Carter IV that are still strong. According to him, Lil Wayne has been hard at work on song selection for the new album despite the fact that hes been serving a 1-year sentence on Rikers Island.

Lil Wayne could leave prison in November, 4 months earlier than he should. The rapper was condemned in March to 12 months in prison, after he pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a weapon. According to MTV News, Lil Wayne will be released for good behavior, on the 4th of November. Life in prison seems to be manageable for Wayne, he even wrote a few songs while being in prison. Recently on the rappers blog was posted his day by day program inside the prison walls.
It would appear that the rapper is getting a bit bored with being a celebrity prisoner in Arizona and hes still got a long time to stay there. So its time for Lil Wayne to suck up to the judge a bit in order to get himself an advance on his ticket out of prison. Not to be too hasty of course, but the man still has a musical career, albums coming out, tours and whatnot. He cant be handling all that shit from the office they provide him in prison. Lil Wayne needs to be free to frolic and do what all good rappers do without getting back into jail, that is.
Lil Wayne is in trouble after the rapper was reportedly busted during an early morning search with a pair of earphones and an iPod charger. That?s a big no-no at Rikers Island. According to the New York Daily News, Lil Wayne, who is serving a one-year stint for a gun possession charge, will be charged with an infraction for being in possession of music contraband. They found the items wrapped in foil and hidden in the trash. The big mystery though is that officials were unable to locate the actual mp3 player. There?s no word on how he was able to smuggle the items in and what his penalty would be.
Lil Wayne has finally been sentenced and has started his one-year prison term this Monday for attempted gun possession. It was originally delayed so that the rapper could undergo eight root canals and again delayed after a fire broke out in the Manhattan Criminal Court Building. Last I heard, Lil Wayne was still undergoing medical exams but a New York corrections offer explains how the rapper?s time will be in jail. ?He’ll be housed with inmates who are classified in his category, and he’ll be able to be a regular inmate. He’ll be able to watch television, go into the day room and congregate with people of his classification. He’ll have no preferable treatment at all. He’ll be treated like a regular inmate.?
Lil Wayne is the luckiest guy on earth ? sort of. The rapper was scheduled to be formally sentenced to a year in prison earlier this week for illegally being in possession of a loaded gun. However, due t his ridiculous grill and the surgery it will need to get fixed, Lil Wayne was granted an extension. His oral surgery is scheduled for Friday, but he won?t have to face the judge again until March 2. I think that?s pretty ridiculous. If he?s gone that long with his teeth looking like gum wrappers, he can serve his time in prison with it too.
This is probably just some marketing scheme to get more people to pre-order stuff, but it will be interesting to see if it works. It seems that Lil? Wayne?s new album which was scheduled to be released in February when he was going to go to happy camp has been delayed for late June. Why, you might ask. Lil? Wayne remains silent? he probably thought it would be a good idea to keep pumping up the release date, maybe he?ll manage to do his time and be back for a few release concerts, that is, if anyone is ever going to show up seeing the stunts he?s pulling. But hey, Lil? Wayne has loads of time to make new friends and fans at the happy camp.
Lil Wayne is one very lucky guy. The rapper?s tour bus was detained in Falfurrias, Texas last week after Border Patrol officers found some marijuana on board. The great part about it for Lil Wayne was that he managed to escape a citation. He and 11 others were questioned by Border Patrol last Friday night and a couple of the guys in his crew were cited for possession. The rapper obviously dodged the bullet big time or he would be serving more time in jail on top of the time he?s set to serve starting in early February. When is this guy going to learn?
Some of Lil Wayne?s fans have gotten quite the surprise in the mail. The rapper?s upcoming rock album ?Rebirth? was originally scheduled for release on December 15, but has since been pushed back to February 1. However, someone must have not gotten the memo as 500 or so fans who pre-ordered the album on Amazon were sent the CD in the mail this week. I?m expecting a full album leak to go down some time real soon. I wonder what those fans think of the new music that Lil Wayne is offering. Someone better get online and let us have a say too!
It seems that Lil Wayne?s new record is finally getting a release date. The rapper?s album ?Rebirth? was originally set to have gone out this past April. However, after many delays, it kept getting pushed back. Now, the so called rock oriented album will be hitting the stores this December 15th, just in time for the holidays! However, the album?s lead single ?Prom Queen? which was released back in January failed to get much popularity. That means that he needs to come out with a hot new single in the next couple of weeks to get some good promotion for the album.
Chris Brown is going to debut his first music video for ?I Can Transform Ya? since that whole Rihanna assault earlier this year. The video was directed by Joseph Kahn and also features producer Swizz Beatz and rapper Lil Wayne. The 21-year old R&B singer wrote about making his comeback on his blog, saying ?The expectations of me by people are far more greater than what I think I?m capable of. God give me strength. If I couldn?t dream, would I believe that there could be a you and me. And if I couldn?t sing would you be able to hear my melody.?
