It would appear that the infamous Oasis split has in no way come between the family ties that bind Liam and Noel Gallagher. Seeing that the former Oasis guitarist is soon to be married he has expressed his desire for his brother to attend the wedding. This is what Noel Gallagher said about his brother being at his wedding: ”He is my brother. He is a tit but he’s my brother so I guess he should be there. Yeah, I would want him there. Family is family on days like that and it would make a lot of people happy. But he’ll always be a complete shit.” But will Liam Gallagher actually see things the way his brother does? The answer will most likely be no.
Former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has come out in support of new kids TV character Rastamouse. The star, who is the frontman of new band Beady Eye, said he doesn’t agree with the criticism the character has come in for. Rastamouse has been labelled as racist by some critics but the rocker doesn’t see why there’s such a fuss. He said: "Come on, man, people speak like that. D’ya know what I mean?" Gallagher added that he loves watching CBBC with his young sons Lennon and Gene. He said: "It’s an excuse for a kip. I say: ‘You stay there, here’s your popcorn, wake me up at the end.’"
Former Oasis star Liam Gallagher has said he is recording material with the remaining members of the band – but not with his brother Noel.
The Brit Pop band’s future was left in jeopardy when Noel, 42, quit in August saying Liam’s behaviour was behind his departure.
However, in a video interview with MTV Italy, Liam said he is recording music with the ex-Oasis members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Zak Starkey.
He said: “We’ve been demo-ing some songs that we’ve had on the quiet. After Christmas we might go in the studio and record it and hopefully have an album out in July.”
He added: “We’ll do it in a different kind of way now. I’ll try and reconnect with a new band, new songs and I’m feeling confident about the songs.
“I’m feeling a million per cent confident that they could be better than Oasis.”
Talking about his frosty relationship with his brother, he said: “I love him to bits but we just don’t get on. Me and our kid have never been that close anyway.
“All right, we were in the band, but we kept ourselves to each other, he’d do his thing and I’d do my thing.”
The Oasis singer will be launching his own fashion range: owned, designed and whatnot? 100% Liam Gallagher. He had this to say about his new label which will be called ?Pretty Green?: “The reason I’m doing it is I like clothes. We’re going to do clothes I like. If people like it, cool, if they don’t, they don’t! If you’re going to do it, you’ve got to get involved and I’m looking forward to it, and I think it’s going to be good.” This all sounds cool? even though it doesn?t seem to me like Liam Gallagher is going to go with the ?live and let live? policy? he?s a member of Oasis after all. Still, the name has potential? I really hope Liam Gallagher?s new label will use leather as well so that they can have an all out epic brawl with PETA.
The Oasis singer has recently spilled out a bit of hate in Coldplay?s way: “I don’t give a shit about Coldplay. We are the coolest band and we are the best fucking band. We are the most important band. We may not be the biggest band in America but who would want that?” Now, now, watch the temper. It?s really sad when somebody gets this frustrated and starts believing such things? and even worse, spilling them out like that. He?s probably just a bit upset that Chris Martin wants to be ?immortalized? in wax. Maybe he should try to arrange the same thing for Oasis, it might make him feel better.
The Oasis frontman ? who has sons Lennon, eight, with ex-wife Patsy Kensit, seven-year-old Gene with wife Nicole Appleton, as well as a daughter Molly, 10, with Lisa Moorish ? admits he was unprepared for parenthood but quickly realized his responsibility.
He said: “I didn?t always want to be a dad. Just wanted to get off my t*ts and do music but once you get your missus pregnant, you?ve got to step up to the plate.”
Um…wise words there Liam.
Despite his reluctance, Liam ? who sends his sons to private school ? insists family is the most important thing to him, and praised his own abilities as a parent.
He added: “Family?s the most important thing. The kids are just the b*****ks. I enjoy their company more than some idiot in a band or some actor. That?s how I?ve changed. I?m the b*****ks at being a dad. I?m top. We have a lot of fun. I?m stricter than Nicole. I?m not Hitler, but they?re getting older, they make a mess, they tidy it up.”
Uh-huh. Do you think he uses that language at home too? Kind of contradicts the “being a top dad” bit doesn’t it?
The bad boy of Oasis Liam Ghallagher and the good girl of All Saints Nicole Appleton finally tied the knot in a secret ceremony in London on Valentine?s Day. Oh! How romantic! The couple has been together for almost 8 years which has given fruit in the form of a 7-year old son named Gene. Now they can be one big happy dysfunctional family!
The ceremony was small and intimate and was held at the Westminster Register Office. Noticeably absent from the ceremony was Liam?s brother Noel. Maybe his invitation got lost in the mail ? or maybe he just wasn?t invited completely.
We?ve had a lot to say about Rehab singer Amy Winehouse of late. With her recent activities at her gigs, and her hubby in jail there has been a lot of speculation as to whether the 24-year-old is heading for a breakdown.
Now Liam Gallagher; notorious for his, let?s say, ?Rock ?n? Roll? lifestyle; has warned Amy to tone down her wild ways before it gets out of control. Despite admitting that if he were still Amy?s age, he would probably be doing the same thing (if not more drugs), the Oasis singer said “She plays with fire, so she’ll get burnt. That’s the way it goes. If she knows what she is doing is not good, then she needs to back up a bit.”
And it?s not without reason. The troubled singer collapsed after an overdose in the summer and has since struggled to stay sober. And now further health fears have sparked after she looked painfully thin while visiting her husband Blake Fielder Civil at London’s Pentonville Prison on Thursday.
Amy you have the backing of legend musical names such as Andrew Lloyd Webber and Liam Gallagher, but only you can help you. Perhaps it really is time for some Rehab.
