Lady Gaga was recently honored with the Big Man of the Year award for her work in music education at the Little Kids Rock benefit, held in New York City. The princess of pop received the award from the wife of Clarence Clemmons, who played the saxophone solo in “The Edge of Glory”, and passed away this past summer. Lady Gaga said in her acceptance speech “My first experience with music was my father playing a vinyl of the E Street Band. I knew every time the song played that my grandpa was looking down and thanking me [for]… the gift I had given to my father by having Clarence on that record.”
Lady Gaga is featured on the cover of the October 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, which hits newsstands on September 27. The 25-year old pop singer talked to the magazine about her body image and self-confidence, saying “I’m very free-spirited. Even when I was a kid, I used to run around naked with the babysitter, driving her crazy. I do yoga, I do Bikram and I run, and I eat really healthy. You know, my work sort of feeds me. I keep in shape by working hard.” Lady Gaga, who had a natural look going for her on the cover, also talked about staying true to herself, saying “Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”
Lady Gaga stopped by the MTV offices in Times Square yesterday to announce her big surprise regarding the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. I had initially thought that the princess of pop was going to be the host of this year’s show, with there still not being one announced. It wasn’t what the singer announced but her news was still a doozey. Lady Gaga has been confirmed to kick off the show, which will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on August 28. How the rest of the show can live up to an epic opening number by Lady Gaga, I don’t know.
Lady Gaga has recently premiered the official music video for her latest single “You and I”. The Robert “Mutt” Lange-produced ballad becomes the fourth single from the princess of pop’s highly successful album “Born This Way”. The 25-year old singer took to her Twitter just as the video debuted, saying “You will never find what you are looking for in love, if you don’t love yourself.” Check it out! It is a visual extravaganza! While I don’t quite get the concept of it, it’s an enjoyable watch. I loved the presence of Lady Gaga’s male alter ego in the video too.
Lady Gaga – You and I – New Video
The singer was also among the acts that performed at the Award Ceremony. Lady GaGa chose to sing “Born this Way”. Her performance was reasonably interesting and she even brought a sort of egg-capsule on stage, not to mention the rather large outfit she chose for the performance and the wig that went with it. She did change the suit for something a little more comfortable a bit into her show. She didn’t have any problems with performing the song which is not surprising since she does seem to take her music seriously… even if she does exaggerate with it from time to time.

For the second year in a row, U2 has been named the highest paid band by Forbes. Every year, the magazine releases a list of the 25 biggest-earning musicians. Acts that have gone on tour consistently throughout the year tend to make the top spots on the list and the rock band was no exception. U2 pulled it $195 million after bringing their 360 tour to a close, with the tour itself banking over $700 million. Coming in second was Bon Jovi, who made $125 million. Elton John came in third with $100 million. Lady Gaga earned $90 million and Michael Buble earned $70 million, to round out the top 5.
Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” may be the fastest selling album of the year so far but that’s not stopping the government of Lebanon from banning the album from stores. According to reports, their government decided to ban the album due to its “alleged insults to Christianity” and “its all around bad taste”. That’s such a disappointing move. Maybe fans of the princess of pop who want to hear the album can download it off of iTunes or Amazon. I doubt they can ban it from digital stores. People can just get creative and rename the album if they don’t want to get caught with it.
Lady Gaga’s album may not be dropping for a couple of days still but that’s not stopping full versions of standout tracks from the princess of pop’s highly-anticipated “Born This Way” from coming out. Take the RedOne-produced “Scheiße”. The track was first heard during the Thierry Mugler fashion show. I think it’s pure fire. Lady Gaga’s vocals and the fierce German lyrics make one hot record. The song has been described as “a tune most likely to bring back memories of early-Nineties dance crossover hits by C&C Music Factory, Snap and RuPaul.” I think dance clubs, especially European ones, will go crazy if this comes out as a single.
Lady Gaga – Scheiße – New Song
Princess of Pop Lady Gaga performed her latest single “Judas” on French TV show “Le Grand Journal” on the night of May 11th (at least where the singer currently is). The “Canal Plus” hit show is being shot this week at a special stage right on the Croisette (boulevard) near the beach in the city of Cannes where the famous film festival happens to be celebrating its opening night on the same day as well. Lady Gaga’s performance was nothing short of epic. The whole landscape and stage just added another layer to it that made it all the more beautiful.

The singer seems to have quite the soft spot for England… or rather a somewhat twisted spot for England. It seems that Lady GaGa will be doing a little tour in the UK this week and has asked that her tour staff all speak in the Cockney accent, the same accent traditionally found in the East End are of London. And of course there is also the usual request for traditional British cuisine such as fish and chips and of course gin and Pimm’s. It would appear that Lady GaGa doesn’t want to leave anything to chance while in the UK and wants to experience all of the finer things that the English have to offer. Hopefully she won’t be requiring too big a crew for her tour.
Lady Gaga just recently released new song titled “The Edge Of Glory”
Lady GaGa has released her long-awaited music video for the song “Judas”. This new “Judas” video isn’t really as controversial as some was expecting, there are some biblical references but nothing too extreme. I guess she is not happy with her love life according to this video.
Lady GaGa – Judas – Official Music Video:
Only on the charts… in real life they probably have absolutely nothing to do with each other. It seems that Katy Perry has struck a pretty big success with her latest single, “E.T.”, which is actually her fourth single from her latest album to be a #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Coming up close behind, or so the speculation goes, is Lady GaGa with her new “Judas” single. Right now it’s only #30, but speculation seems to be that it will be number one in a few days. That means that Katy Perry and Lady GaGa are battling it out on the Billboard Hot 100, both viciously vying for the first place… theoretically.
Lady Gaga answered a ton of questions from fans during an exclusive interview with Google. I think that the princess of pop is the first singer of worldwide success to do it. The interview was taped at the internet company’s headquarters in San Francisco on Tuesday. During the over 1 hour talk, Lady Gaga discussed her fans, her music and revealed details on her upcoming “Born This Way” album, which is due out on May 23. It’s an interesting watch. In related news, Lady Gaga will be shooting the music video for her next single “Judas” on April 1. I can’t wait to see that one.
Lady Gaga – Google Interview – Video
With the release of the singer’s much awaited music video for “Born this Way” it seems that Lady GaGa has embarked upon a path of conquest that is somehow reminiscent of the Blitzkrieg of ages past. Apart from “Governmental Hooker”, Lady GaGa will have yet another single called “Judas” coming in the near future that will also have its own music video. Of this latest single the singer’s creative director, Laurieann Gibson, had this to say: “So, visually, the dance, the costuming, the idea of how big we’re trying to go, it’s going to be a rollercoaster ride. What is a traditional music video? Even if we go with a traditional music video, the directors that we love are not traditional, so the idea that they get to collaborate with us means they too want to live outside of what people expect a traditional music video to be.” Lady GaGa and her crew sure seem to have high expectations of themselves… well, maybe this time it will actually be as earth shattering as they say.
The Beatles star Paul McCartney was spotted enjoying a Lady Gaga concert in New York. The 68-year-old rocker took his girlfriend Nancy Shevell, 47, to the star’s recent gig in Madison Square Garden where he sat near the stage enjoying the show. A source told UK newspaper the Daily Star: "He is one of the most famous people on the planet but Macca didn’t ask for any special treatment. "While he could have had his pick of a private box he insisted he get to hang out with the rest of Gaga’s fans, the Little Monsters. He wanted a regular date night with his missus."
Lady Gaga is already breaking new records and making new landmarks on history with her latest single “Born This Way” but that doesn’t mean that other tracks sung by the princess of pop have stopped hitting milestones. “Just Dance” has officially become the second song to top the six million mark in paid downloads, following the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling”. Imagine what those numbers would look like if no one downloaded the song illegally. If there are any naysayers left with regards to Lady Gaga and her staying power, there you have it. The singer is here to stay and here to rule.
The famous pop singer’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, has recently taken a bit of a stab against Lady GaGa, probably due to the great success the singer has been having recently. This is what Madonna’s publicist had to say about Lady GaGa: “Of course, the natural instinct is to wonder: Where does she take it from here? She’s taken it pretty far on the fashion front and seems to be having fun with it. The next step might be a nice pastel sweater set with pearls and sensible shoes. That would be REALLY shocking.” Really subtle of Madonna there to have her publicist do all of the dirty work. It looks like somebody is a wee bit jealous.
The singer recently shared what exactly her stage experience feels like with all of her fans out there. Apparently when Lady GaGa is on stage she feels like she has this very intimate and raw passionate relationship with all of her fans. These were her words on the matter: “Sometimes, being on stage is like having sex with my fans. They’re the only people on the planet who, in an instant, can make me just lose it.” Right… well, most of Lady GaGa’s fans are probably very thrilled to hear that… and they’ll be looking forward to her next concert with much, much anticipation. This probably explains the singer’s choice in outfits. After all, it can become very dull after a while if one is wearing the same thing.
Lady Gaga released a very new song today called “Born This Way” Check the audio/video below
Lady Gaga – Born This Way – New Song
It seems that the singer just can’t wait to give all of her fans out there what they want. So Lady GaGa has decided to shorten the wait for her brand new single, “Born this way”, which is set to be released on iTunes this coming Sunday. Lady GaGa has recently tweeted the following about the highly anticipated piece: “Can’t wait any longer, single coming Friday.” Well it will be hitting the radio waves on Friday, that is for sure, but from there to getting on the internet there probably won’t be too much of a stretch. Actually, that’s probably what Lady GaGa is counting on. What else could heighten the anticipation for the new album even more?
It seems that the singer has struck again or will do so soon. Recently it has been revealed that the filming for Lady GaGa’s new music video for the single “Born this Way” has been completed. Now it’s just a matter of waiting until the thing also gets released… it probably won’t take too long. Lady GaGa’s own stylist, Nicola Formichetti, a woman of… particular tastes, one must assume since she’s styling Lady GaGa, has said about the new music video that it is “the most amazing thing ever”. Here’s another youtube mania coming up. Hopefully Lady GaGa won’t torture her fans too much and release the damn thing soon.
And shes not the only one Lady GaGa and other celebrities recently expressed their joy about the recent repeal of the United States Dont Ask, Dont Tell policy. This is what Lady GaGa wrote the following on her twitter: Can’t hold back the tears+pride. We did it!i Our voice was heard + today the Senate REPEALED DADT. A triumph for equality after 17 YEARS It is a great day for justice and equality indeed Danton and Marrat would be proud. But since its such a great day maybe Lady Gaga might consider giving it a little more dignity by actually spelling words and not using mathematical symbols to replace them. The technology exists, use it!
Lady Gaga has revealed that she will be debuting the first single from her much-anticipated new album Born this Way in February 2011. With producers and collaborators talking about how great the album is and how they cant wait for everyone else to bask in the glory of the princess of pops latest music offerings, fans have all be waiting in anticipation for a solid date regarding single and album releases. We have one now so I bet everyone is pumped for the date to come quickly. Im sure the singer will deliver another hit which makes me look forward to her release even more.
Ive got some new details to share about Lady Gagas new album. A source who was present at the princess of pops concert in Gdansk, Poland said that the singer herself talked about her new record during one of the breaks on the show. Lady Gaga shared with the audience that its highly likely that her upcoming album Born This Way will consist of 20 new tracks. Thats insane! I was excited to hear some new music from her before but finding out that there could be 20 new songs just sent me over the top. I am beyond excited for this!
Timbaland recently reached out to his fans in a very cool way last week. The super producer posted a video on his Twitter page answering questions from his followers about what hes been up to. Topics ranged from his new free song giveaway to Kanye West. Timbaland also talked about working with Lady Gaga and admit that the collaboration between him and the princess of pop is already in the process of happening. That sounds awesome! I think he could definitely make a sick beat with Lady Gaga and she would definitely kill it on vocals. I wonder when this is going down.
University of South Carolina sociology professor Mathieu Deflem will be teaching a course next semester with the following title Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame. How amazing is that? The princess of pop has not only reached world domination, but people are about to study her too. An excerpt from the course description says that The central objective is to unravel some of the sociologically relevant dimensions of the fame of Lady Gaga. As for whether the infamous singer will make a guest appearance, the professor said I will get the word out to her that I’m doing the course. But it might be logistically too difficult for her to come because she will be on tour for most of the spring semester. For her little monsters, Lady Gaga will do anything, so theres still a possibility that she will be there.
Rihanna recently made some comments saying that Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Ke$has music were generic. The Barbadian R&B singer said Katy is my friend! I would never diss her. I dont see her as my rival. My only rival is myself, because I always wanna get better and better. I meant all the producers, that give singers like Katy, GaGa or Ke$ha always the same kind of pop-songs. They think, for sure one of them will take it and make it a single. They dont realize that everyone of us has their own style. I love Katys music! Thats why I wanna make a duet with her. Were already working on it. Do you think shes sincere or was she back peddling?
Clearly there is nothing more that can stand in her way. This week is Lady GaGas one-hundredth on the Billboard 200. That means that Lady GaGa is about two months away from being present for two years in a top. Truly there are few pop princesses that can actually boast such performances. Lady GaGas career seems to be heading the right way and she might just have a shot at getting over the one hit wonder mark forever. Taylor Swift is the one whos record she has to beat though and that will require another 24 weeks at least. But it doesnt look like Lady GaGa is going anywhere either way.
Sources are saying that Lady Gaga is looking into a place in Marthas Vineyard. Little is known about the property, but if theres anything to say about the princess of pop and the area, its not going to be cheap. The singer already has a place out in Bel Air thats worth $25,000 a month. That says enough about her tastes. Im not quite sure why Lady Gaga wants some property over at Marthas Vineyard though. Maybe shes looking for some place thats nice, quiet and ritzy to keep her imagination going wild all the time. I would definitely think that shes looking for a vacation home and not a permanent residence.
While at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles this past Sunday, Lady Gaga announced the name of her new album Born this Way. The 25-year old princess of pop made the announcement while accepting the awards for Video of the Year for Bad Romance. The singer then sang to the audience, giving fans a sneak peek performance from her new album. Lady Gaga sang How beautiful in my way cuz God makes no mistakes. Im on the right track. Baby, I was born this way. If thats not enough to excite you about her new music, I dont know what will.
