American Idol champ David Cook and his runner up David Archuleta were both spotted while passing through LAX airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The younger David, who arrived with his father Jeff, recently blogged on why he’s in town saying “I’m in L.A. for the time we have off right now and have had a couple of meetings involving the album, which were fun. Our next show is in St. Louis, and I’m pretty sure I’ve never been there so it should be fun to see the big arch there haha. Anyway I’ll try to get that blog up, even though it’s not fancy or anything haha, so you guys can at least see it soon. Oh one more thing. On So You Think You Can Dance, a couple named Katee and Will danced to my performance “Imagine.” I thought that was way cool! Haha. They did awesome. I feel… Like honored lol. Ok sorry i’m out of it right now so have a good night everyone.”

American Idol Top 5

Ξ April 30th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ American Idol, David Archuleta, David Cook, Neil Diamond |

Just to show how American Idol is on the edge of the music industry, this week’s show had a theme of Neil Diamond songs. I guess they forgot to say that it was the outer edge of the music industry they were on. The Idols sang two songs each this week, each having a turn before their 2nd song. Jason Castro sang ‘Forever in Blue Jeans’ and ‘September Morn’. David Cook sang ‘I’m Alive’ and ‘All I Really Need is You’. Brooke White sang ‘I’m a Believer’ and ‘I Am… I Said’. David Archuleta sang ‘Sweet Caroline’ and ‘America’. Syesha Mercado sang ‘Hello Again’ and ‘Thank the Lord for the Night Time’. And I thought Andrew Lloyd Webber week was lame.
