‘Dancing with the Stars’ dancer Julianne Hough and singer Jesse McCartney recently announced the nominees for the 2008 American Music Awards in Beverly Hills. Leading the pack with five nominations was songstress Alicia Keys. Other nominees included Chris Brown, the Jonas Brothers, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey and Coldplay. What, no Rihanna? No Katy Perry? It’s a travesty! Or maybe they’re in the complete list of nominees. You can see the complete list of nominees as well as vote at amavote.com. The 2008 American Music Awards will be broadcast on Sunday, November 23rd and hosted by comedian and late night show host Jimmy Kimmel.
If you’re a young female, chances are, Rihanna is one of your idols right now and you pretty much envy the life she lives. For Jordin Sparks, it’s not really all that different. The American Idol alum recently confessed to having a crush on Chris Brown but couldn’t pursue the crooner after she heard he was dating Rihanna. Jordin says “I didn’t know they were dating - they were doing the ‘just good friends’ thing in the media - and I thought ‘Oooh, maybe I have a chance’. But it’s not to be. They are a sweet couple. I wish them all the best.”
What do rappers do when they are denied entry despite being so crunk? Get wild of course!
Two rappers were denied entry to Chris Brown’s album release party earlier in the week. In response to the treatment, they tore up the place in protest.
Juelz Santana and Jim Jones both tried to get into the party at Tenjune only to get shut out. The reason for the shut out is unknown but is most interesting because both have collaborated with Chris before.
Cops soon arrived at the scene per request of the club and Tenjune shut itself down which left stars at the party like Tyrese, Lil Mama and Sean Kingston with nowhere to celebrate temporarily.
