Carrie Underwood is becoming quite the soccer mom

Well, actually hockey mom… and, not mom just yet, but she does seem to be on the right path for it. It seems that whenever Carrie Underwood is home alone because her new husband has to play a game in another city, being a married and honorable woman, there’s not much for her to do. This is what Carrie Underwood related about those difficult moments: “It is hard being a hockey wife. They will go off for a few days at a time to play some road games, and I am just like sitting at home twiddling my thumbs thinking, ‘What do I do?’ I cleaned, and we are moving into a new house, and so I was unpacking all of his stuff. And laundry and dishes.” Laundry, dishes and cleaning… and she’s only been married near half-a-year. Carrie Undewood’s husband must sure be happy to have her under his roof.

The song will serve as the theme music for the upcoming �Chronicles of Narnia� sequel, �The Voyage of the Dawn Treader�. The movie will hit theaters on December 10. Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood Lead CMT Nods

Country cuties Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood are both up for three CMT Music Awards each! The singers are actually tied for the lead in nominations with Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum. Other nominees this year include Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire and Tim McGraw. The CMT Music Awards, which will be hosted by Kid Rock, will take place on June 9. Fans can vote at vote.CMT.com to help determine the winners. Who do you think will rake in the top awards? Taylor and Carrie have been battling it out for a while now. Carrie Underwood recently spoke to Cosmo magazine where the American Idol alum basically talked about her image then and now. The successful country singer said ?Nobody would?ve looked at me twice if it weren’t for IDOL. Back then, I was 20 pounds heavier and literally fresh off the farm.? Nobody may have looked at you yes, but just one note heard from you and I bet that everyone?s head would be spinning. I doubt that there?s anyone out there now who doesn?t know Carrie?s name or doesn?t take the time to take a second look at her. I love her!

As we all know, the country singer is getting married and her biggest wish was that she would have a small wedding where the bride stands out very much. However, Carrie Underwood seems to have lost all hope in her wish as she herself relates: “I started tearing out pictures and stuff. I think I want a small wedding, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.” Carrie Underwood is probably beginning doubt whether or not having a small wedding is good for the whole prospect of it all. Strange though that the family or the future husband have said nothing on the matter, not even a confirmation that Carrie Underwood will eventually do what she wants.

Carrie Underwood hosted the 2009 Country Music Association Awards at the Sommet Center on Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee. Carrie also performed that night, singing her new single ?Cowboy Casanova?. The 26-year old American Idol alum co-hosted the show with Brad Paisley. The two singers opened up the show by changing the lyrics to ?Mamas Don?t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys? to include a reference to Kanye West. It was a pretty hilarious moment. And honestly, I was half expecting the rapper to randomly show up when Taylor Swift won her awards. He would have never come out of there alive.

The 24-year old signer puts on at least 25 different hats within the video including painter, fire fighter, doctor, chef, pageant queen, Olympic swimmer, nurse, waitress, police officer, photographer, bride, cowgirl, football player, soldier, flight attendant, cheerleader, sorority girl, newscaster, welder, teacher, graduate, seamstress, mother, ballerina, President of the US, vet, chemist, astronaut, and even herself from her ?Before He Cheats? video.

The only thing that would be better for this video was if it wasn?t a complete rip off from Faith Hill?s video of ?The Way You Love Me?.

American Idol is set to return for its seventh season in a special two-night, four-hour season premier on January 15 and January 16. Set your TiVos now! The Hollywood round will air on February 12 and the top 24 contestants will be announced on February 13. The first performance episode which features the 12 male finalists will air on February 19 and the first performance episode of the females will be on the following night. The top 12 finalists will then take the stage for the first time on Tuesday, March 11.

Who will be the next Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks or William Hung? Judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell will be back to help sway your opinion.

Idol fans, this is your time for sweet revenge. He may not have won the competition, but he won the hearts of album buyers this year. Billboard named Chris Daughtry the most popular album of 2007. They sold about 3.2 million copies.

Just half a million shy of that, in second place, is Akon’s album “Konvicted”, followed by the Hannah Montana soundtrack (2.5 million), Fergie’s “The Dutchess” (2.4 million), and Carrie Underwood’s “Some Hearts” (2.3 million).

Number one song of the year was “Irreplaceable” by Beyonce, with Rihanna coming in just behind with “Umbrella”. Top tour of the year was The Police’s reunion tour, bringing in $212 million at last estimate.

The American Idol alum showed up in a red Grecian-inspired Naeem Khan Resort gown at ?Movies Rock: A Celebration of Music in Film? which was held at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood.

The 24-year old singer took to the stage when she performed a Julie Andrews classic, ?The Sound of Music? from the movie of the same title. Incidentally, it?s the favorite movie of Carrie?s mom. Also, Julie Andrews is the narrator of the movie ?Enchanted? for which Carrie sand ?Ever Ever After?. What goes around, comes around.
