Rihanna debuted a new hair do at the 2008 NRJ Music Awards which was held at the Palais des Festivals on Saturday in Cannes, France. It’s super short especially if you’re looking at it from the back. It’s super sexy though and she was looking mighty stylish. I can’t wait to see what she’ll look like at the forthcoming Grammy Awards which will take place on February 10. She will be performing at the show along with Beyonce, the Foo Fighters, Carrie Underwood and Mary J. Blige. And you fans better watch out because it’s being reported that Beyonce and Mary J are being rumoured to be performing a duet.

American Idol sweetheart Carrie Underwood has a new music video out for her single ‘All-American Girl’ and she couldn’t be any sweeter. It’s cute, clean and fun. The only thing that would be better for this video was if it wasn’t a complete rip off from Faith Hill’s video of ‘The Way You Love Me’.

Idol fans, this is your time for sweet revenge. He may not have won the competition, but he won the hearts of album buyers this year. Billboard named Chris Daughtry the most popular album of 2007. They sold about 3.2 million copies.
Just half a million shy of that, in second place, is Akon’s album “Konvicted”, followed by the Hannah Montana soundtrack (2.5 million), Fergie’s “The Dutchess” (2.4 million), and Carrie Underwood’s “Some Hearts” (2.3 million).
Number one song of the year was “Irreplaceable” by Beyonce, with Rihanna coming in just behind with “Umbrella”. Top tour of the year was The Police’s reunion tour, bringing in $212 million at last estimate.

While Beyonce went green, Carrie Underwood decided to go red. It’s Christmas people!
The American Idol alum showed up in a red Grecian-inspired Naeem Khan Resort gown at ‘Movies Rock: A Celebration of Music in Film’ which was held at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood.
The 24-year old singer took to the stage when she performed a Julie Andrews classic, ‘The Sound of Music’ from the movie of the same title. Incidentally, it’s the favorite movie of Carrie’s mom. Also, Julie Andrews is the narrator of the movie ‘Enchanted’ for which Carrie sand ‘Ever Ever After’. What goes around, comes around.

Josh Groban scored himself a high spot on the albums’ charts with his Christmas album ‘Noel’. And it seems like everyone got wind of what a big deal music can be this holiday season because a couple of others want the same cake that Josh is eating.
American Idol alum and multi award-winning singer Carrie Underwood is trying her luck this Christmas season by making her own version of ‘Do You Hear What I Hear?’. And if you want your holiday season to have a bit more of an edge, try listening to Ludacris and his own holiday theme ‘Ludacrismas’.
