A rabid male fan crashed the stage at a Jonas Brothers concert this past weekend in Madrid. I never knew they actually had male fans, but anyway. Unlike Britney Spears who infamously screamed when the same thing happened to her at one of her gigs, the band of cuties just kept on playing. It was a pretty hilarious sight. The guys were still playing and singing their little hearts out while the fan was running around in circles trying to get away from security and ripping his shirt off. There’s yet another story that they can tell the grandkids – not!
Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and the LA Lakers are getting sued by a company that claims that they all used knockoffs of their big screen in concert. Large Audience Display Systems says in a federal lawsuit filed in Texas that the concerts in question used a large audience display screen that was identical to their patented gigantic monitors. Britney uses the screen on her Circus tour. Justin used the monitors on his FutureSex/LoveShow tour and the Lakers use them for the games. The Pussycat Dolls were also involved in the lawsuit. The company wants an injunction prohibiting the defendants from using the knockoffs in the future as well as unspecified damages.
Britney Spears reportedly hit out in her hotel room this past weekend after she angered her fans at her concert the past week for lip synching. The fact that they expected her to sing live considering who she was is beyond me. All of Australia rallied against the pop singer upon landing in the country last week, criticizing her for charging loads of money for a concert that wasn’t live. And yet they still went to the show. Where’s the logic in the whole thing? If they didn’t like the fact that she doesn’t sing live, they shouldn’t have bought tickets. It’s not like she’s known for singing live.

The singer managed to rack up a whopping 42% of the votes for that category, edging out Britney Spears and Kanye West. Considering the recent happenings regarding the rapper, you know it’s bad when you’re voted to be worse than he is. Sources are chalking it up to the fact that she’s seeking a career separate from Disney and her alter-ego Hannah Montana. It really sounds like Miley is heading down the same path that Britney did.
Famed musicians, including REM and Pearl Jam, have filed a series of Freedom of Information requests, asking the government to declassify documents that would reveal which artists’ catalogs were used in several prisons and military detention centers, including Guantanamo Bay. The music may have been used in controversial interrogation methods in which detainees are forced to listen to music at extreme levels for hours on end. The requests were filed by Close Gitmo Now, an organization aimed at pressuring Congress to support President Obama’s intentions to close Guantanamo Bay prison. Their allegations are based off the testimony of former prisoners and guards that identified music from artists like Britney Spears to AC/DC to the Sesame Street theme song.

Britney Spears has recently announced the opening acts for the second leg of her North American tour. The artists touring with the recovered pop star are Grammy winner Ciara and pop newbie Kristinia DeBarge. Both singers are said to be thrilled to be joining the tour. Kristinia commented on what it feels like to be part of the tour, saying “Joining Britney Spears for her “Circus” tour will be an amazing and surreal experience for me. I have been dreaming of an opportunity like this forever, and can’t wait.” It should also be a good way for her to get her music out there and to establish a fan base.
The singer has apparently gained increased custody of her children during her Circus Tour. This means that Britney Spears will get to spend more than half of the time with her and Kevin Fenderline’s children. Apparently this didn’t come after long and hard legal battles, but it was of mutual agreement as the gossip website TMZ says: “Lawyers for Britney and Kevin Federline have filed docs with the family law Commissioner Scott Gordon, stating they have reached a new temporary custody arrangement.” Yes, let Britney Spears hold them for longer, it’s her turn this time, drag the poor children on tour with you why don’t you, it will be great for their development.
Britney Spears’ handlers surprisingly let the recovered pop star out to have a night out in the town in London after finishing her first week of the UK leg of her ‘Circus’ tour. The singer dropped by Maddox night club this past weekend before calling it an early night and heading to bed. No fishnets, sunglasses at night, late convenient store stops or a pig wig involved in the whole matter, just a bunch of bodyguards and an utterly bored looking Britney. The times have seriously changed with this one folks. Let’s hope she stays in her non-crazy state for the sake of her kids.
Now that Britney Spears is making money again, she’s being sued by the photographer whose foot she once ran over. Mind you, the whole thing was caught on tape for people to ridicule. Rick Mendoza was a casualty of the recovered pop star’s Mercedes as she was pulling out of a Beverly Hills parking structure back when she was still looney in 2007. In the lawsuit, Mendoza says that the singer’s people, who are also defendants, “should have known…Britney was not in the mental, emotional and/or physical condition to operate the subject motor vehicle in a safe and reasonable manner.”

The singer’s extravagant lifestyle has apparently finally found its reflection in her extraordinary bills. It seems that Britney Spears has spent no less than ten million dollars since last February. It seems that Britney Spears’ dad isn’t really the best administrator of all of her belongings. However, a representative of his, ensures us this is not the case: “Since the initiation of the conservatorship, as a result of the concerted efforts of Mr. Spears as well as the professionals involved, all aspects of Ms. Spears’ life have been stabilized and continue to improve.” Yep, that’s the definitely the case! Those are usually the kinds of announcements you hear before banks collapse… everything is ok, there is nothing to worry about.
It’s Britney Spears’ tour and she calls whatever shots she wants – unless they include drugs. But it does include banning Kevin Federline’s newest lady friend, former volleyball player Victoria Price, from joining him on the road. An insider told Us Weekly that “Britney struck a deal with Kevin that Victoria couldn’t come.” It’s either the recovered singer is jealous or she thinks Victoria is squeezing her ex-hubby dry. Victoria reportedly left her cushy Fox Sports marketing position back in January and according to once source, she “has some money issues. Kevin pays for everything.” With Britney handing a lot of money to KFed weekly, she probably doesn’t want another mouth to feed.
