Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch is reportedly planning to bring out his own album following his daughter’s success.

Amy, 25, has had two successful albums and is currently working on her third album.

It is claimed that her dad Mitch now fancies trying his hand at music and producing some material.

Reports say Mitch has been working on tracks including some Frank Sinatra covers as well as some of his own tracks.

A source said: “Mitch has been working on it for a while now. Amy always credits her dad with getting her into singing. He loves music. He has a good voice and wants a go at turning pro.”

Mitch has reportedly approached his daughter’s record label Island Records about getting a deal together.

However, if that falls through, he can work with daughter Amy on her own label, Lioness.

Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher have hit out at Welsh star Duffy and called her career “ridiculous”.

Liam, 36, was asked about the 24-year-old singer, who recently filmed an advert for Diet Coke.

He said: “Duffy was all right until she opened her mouth.

“The music’s OK, until she did that stupid advert and things like that. It’s ridiculous.”

His brother Noel added: “Good luck to her, she’s a nice girl, but you just feel that it’s been invented.

“It’s like they’ve said: ‘Amy Winehouse, she’s got a black beehive, so we’ll do a blonde one.’

“That’s the problem with the musical landscape – everyone’s got clipboards.”

Amy ?no-show? Winehouse has pulled the plug on yet another gig for mysterious reasons.

She claimed she could not make her 30-minute slot in front of her bosses from Universal Music because she had rowed with jailbird hubby Blake Fielder-Civil on the phone and was upset.

The bigwigs at the swanky Grove Hotel in Herts were told she was ill.

Hmmm if you?re gonna make an excuse at least be consistent Amy. My instincts tell me it was because she was getting stuck in to her favourite illegal pastimes?

Amy Winehouse has been banned from America after failing a drug test.

The singer applied for a visa to attend Sunday?s Grammys bash, but was denied as officials found traces of an un-named illegal drug in her blood following the test at the US Embassy in central London. Pals said Amy, 24, was ?gutted? by the news yesterday, and fear it will affect her battle with drugs.

A spokesman said she accepts the ban. But a pal said she was ?desperate? to perform at the Los Angeles bash – where she is up for six awards – adding: ?It was her main incentive to get clean. It?s a blow.?

Amy is now expected to perform via a live satellite link to the awards ceremony.

Amy Winehouse?s luck seems to be making a turn for the better now that it?s a new year. The singer just got a lucky break because prosecutors have decided that they will not charge Wino in her husband?s witness tampering case. She was under investigation because police grew suspicious of the amount of money that her husband attempted to use for bribery since he doesn?t really sweat money and only Wino makes the cash flow in.

Amy was even ?arrested? last month but was really just brought in for questioning about it. It looks like she did good in the interrogation room because she is now in the clear. As for her husband, the jury is still out.

We?ve had a lot to say about Rehab singer Amy Winehouse of late. With her recent activities at her gigs, and her hubby in jail there has been a lot of speculation as to whether the 24-year-old is heading for a breakdown.

Now Liam Gallagher; notorious for his, let?s say, ?Rock ?n? Roll? lifestyle; has warned Amy to tone down her wild ways before it gets out of control. Despite admitting that if he were still Amy?s age, he would probably be doing the same thing (if not more drugs), the Oasis singer said “She plays with fire, so she’ll get burnt. That’s the way it goes. If she knows what she is doing is not good, then she needs to back up a bit.”

And it?s not without reason. The troubled singer collapsed after an overdose in the summer and has since struggled to stay sober. And now further health fears have sparked after she looked painfully thin while visiting her husband Blake Fielder Civil at London’s Pentonville Prison on Thursday.
