Lil’ Wayne owes Uncle Sam big time

It seems the rapper who is probably very famous given how many music videos he appears in isn’t in such good relations with good old Uncle Sam, especially when it comes to taxes. It seems the IRS have done a little digging on Lil’ Wayne and they found that he currently owes over 5.6 million dollars in unpaid taxes… and that’s just for 2008 and 2009. But Lil’ Wayne will soon be releasing his long awaited next album and that’s probably going to bring him a little extra money to help him pay these outstanding bills he has. After all, it’s not very nice for an upstanding citizen such as him to owe so much to his beloved country.

Florence and the Machine is ready for another one

It looks like the very successful newcomers are already on their way to releasing a new album. Apparently Florence and the Machine have finished the writing work and now they are all set to start recording it. The band’s guitarist, Rob Ackroyd, had this to say on the matter: “Work on the second album has begun with producer Paul Epworth and there is talk of booking out Abbey Road for a month in April or May to record. Which is nice. Florence’s and my taste in music often overlap in harmonious fashion; we’re both big fans of hip-hop and American indie. But she’s also a big fan of unadulterated pop music, which cuts through me like a knife.” Perhaps this new album from Florence and the Machine will be just as big as their first. Maybe they’ll even get an award or two for this one.

Beyonce is getting a new album ready

Lady GaGa and Britney Spears better not think that they’re the only ones left fighting for the throne of the pop queen… no sir. Beyonce is still in the game too and she’s coming up strong and sly with a new album that is almost ready. Singer Sia, with whom Beyonce apparently collaborated, say the following about this upcoming record: “So I just said to all the producers, writers, everyone, help me make this happen. Diplo e-mailed me and said, ‘Where are you in the world right now? Would you be interested in flying to New York? I’m writing with Beyoncé,’ and I was like, ‘Yesss!’. Well, there’s only one song left for this album, so I probably won’t get on this album, but hopefully the next one. That’s my dream, that’s my goal.” It’s so much more interesting when there are three parties in the game… Beyonce’s new album could not have arrived at a better time.

Liam Gallagher blasts brothers new solo project

Former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has hit out at his brother Noel once again and called him a “f****” in a new interview. Liam, 38, who now performs with his new band Beady Eye, said he is not “a****” about his brother’s music plans for the future. Speaking about his sibling’s return to music, Liam told UK magazine Uncut: “I’m sure it will be all very civilised and grown-up. One of those gigs you can really stroke your chin at. With four rent-a-Scousers wearing shell-suits.” He added: “I’ve heard his f****** new record because I f****** sang on half of it. When I was in America for Dig Out Your Soul. And he swiped some off [sic], because he obviously knew he wanted to do a solo album. “So he can talk all the bull**** about, ‘Oh, I was intimidated’ and all that. F****** nonsense.”

The band is apparently going to be going epic with their next album as Chris Martin revealed that it is going to be a concept album. This is what Coldplay�s front man had to say on the matter: “It’s from the point of view of two people who are a bit lost. Two like-minded outsiders who meet in a very difficult environment and therefore have a journey together. It’s a concept album but it’s supposed to be very personal within a big framework. Does that make sense? I’m so lucky that we have that group, in as much as there are a lot of people who don’t like us in the world, but there would be a lot more without this filtering system. Think of the rubbish that doesn’t get out, if you don’t like the stuff that does.” So it seems that Coldplay have taken the high road and decided to experiment a little. They might not have as much success as they did, but they will certainly grow more and appreciate themselves as artists.

In a new interview with Glamour magazine, the country singer reveals �Everything that happens to me gets put into a song. There, I don’t hold back: names, dates, times, expressions on people’s faces, exactly where we were and how it felt, what I wish I would have said to them in the moment.� This album could very well be known as the official Taylor Swift autobiography.

Carey announced that she wants to release a new Christmas album, after its predecessor, which contained Christmas songs, released in 1994, and became among the most sold discs. The album is scheduled for early November and will include six new songs and a remix of the hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”. Singer would like to join the American Idol judges in the near future. “She is one of the greatest singers of our time, she would fit perfectly. I do not know if she has enough free time, but if she could make a deal with the producers on a program, I know she would be very pleased to participate in this program, “said singer�s husband Nick Cannon.

Pink Floyd Albums Off the Internet

Many of Pink Floyd�s albums have been taken off the internet after a distribution deal with the iconic rock band�s record label ran out. �The Wall�, �Animals�, �Wish You Were Here�, and �The Final Cut� have all been taken down from online digital stores because the contract with EMI actually expired on June 30. Reps for the band are working on securing a new deal to bring the music back for digital downloads. If they knew that the deal was set to expire, I wish they could have worked harder on securing a new one before it did so fans didn�t have to wait in limbo.

Chris Martin has no plans to release solo album

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said he has no plans to release a solo album and thinks the idea would be ‘cringeworthy’.

Martin, 33, said he had been chatting to Natasha Khan from band Bat For Lashes about the thought of a solo album and decided that he is nothing without the band behind him.

He said to UK’s Q magazine: “This is going to sound cheesy, but what makes a great frontman is the great people behind him.

“I had this conversation yesterday with Natasha from Bat For Lashes, who’s on tour with us, and we were talking about how if Bono or I were to release solo albums, they’d be cringeworthy.

“It’s still the same person singing, but the gang aspect makes you acceptable.

“If you take me out of the band, I can’t dance, I can’t do what Beyonce can do.

“I’m only surviving on enthusiasm and collective chemistry. All frontmen become s**t as soon as the perceived least important member of their band leaves.”
