No Line On The Horizon, the new album from U2 featuring the single ?Get On Your Boots? is in stores now. The album is the band?s 12th studio album and their first release since the nine million selling album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, released in late 2004.
The new album, produced by Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite, has been chose as Amazon?s ?Deal of the Day? for today?s release and offers special pricing for one only.
No Line On The Horizon is also being released in a standard format with a 24- page booklet and in digipak format. The 26-year old original American Idol champion?s new single ?My Life Would Suck Without You? has topped the charts at number one this week in the UK, beating out county singing cutie Taylor Swift?s ?Love Story?. If they were the only two to choose from, the UK clearly has a win-win situation. They?ve got good taste. Maybe the complete leak of Kelly?s ?All I Ever Wanted? album helped her edge Taylor out.

Chris Cornell?s long-awaited Timbaland produced album, Scream, is reaching stores on 3/10. Possible Blink 182 reunion tour are diminishing. Mark Hoppus said that the 3 of them, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge, have started to reconnect. However, in a new interview, Mark reveals plans to release his own solo album. That means he?s also ditching that band he made with Travis after Blink, +44. He said ?Since late August of last year, I’ve been in the studio every week writing songs with the intention of putting out a record of my own. As of this week, I’ve got about 10 songs in various stages of completion and another 10 ideas that I still want to work on. ? By the way, this interview will be the first time many people at the label are going to hear about the possibility of me doing an album on my own.? He also said that Travis supports him completely as the drummer actually plays on most of his tracks.

Timbaland is coming out with a new album and it is once again filled with names you can only see on the A-list. ?Shock Value: Volume 2? is the follow up to his 2007 release and it is due to come out in stores on February 14th. Once again, the record features his most frequent collaborator Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake sings on the album?s lead single ?Meltdown? alongside Gwen Stefani. The song will be released to radio on January 5th. Other artist featured include Usher, Keri Hilson, Jonas Brothers, Madonna, Rihanna, T-Pain, Akon, Jay-Z, Linkin Park, Dr. Dre, Missy Elliot, Jordin Sparks, TI, Flo-Rida and Coolio.
It was announced last month that No Doubt would be getting back together for a reunion tour and a new album. The goal was for them to start touring in 2009 and finish working on the album. However, there?s some bad news coming from drummer Adrian Young. During a recent interview, he said that there will be no new music from them next year. He said ?We’ve been working on a new record off and on now for a bit of time, and we’re going to continue to work on a new record next year. We’re going to start touring in the spring of ’09 through the summer, and we’re going to continue to work on music while we’re traveling.?

Reports are circulating that Guns N Roses front man Axl Rose is suffering from a case of anthropophobia. In simpler terms, it means that he?s afraid of people. He?s most likely done the nasty with a lot of groupies and they say he?s afraid of people. Right. Insiders are saying that the fear has gotten really bad. With the release of ?Chinese Democracy?, you?d think that Axl would be promoting it but that?s not the case. A source said that Axl ?has fired his management company, Front Line, three times in four weeks. He hasn’t left his Los Angeles home in two months. He won’t give interviews, won’t do talk shows, or perform – which makes touring or promoting very difficult, obviously.?

A source said ?Avril is hoping that new management can help her new album be more successful than the last.? Avril is now said to have hired Irving Azoff and his management company to represent her. American Idol champ David Cook took a big bite out of his self-titled major label debut album at Hard Rock Caf? in Times Square last week. His CD dropped in stores last week and is expected to land in the top three during its first week in sales. The 25-year old singer and songwriter recently sat down with EW to talk about his music. When asked about the comparison between him and Chris Daughtry, he said ?Opinions and perceptions, man ? I didn?t let it get to me on the show, and I see no reason to let it get to me afterward. I just think this record is me, and if people want to compare it to Daughtry, awesome. He?s sold a ton of records. I just hope someday the coin will flip and somebody will compare somebody else to me.?

Chris Cornell has just unveiled the official video for ?Ground Zero.? The clip includes scenes from the ABC crime-drama Life On Mars. Sir Paul McCartney is releasing a new dance album in November under his alter ego, the Fireman. According to a new report, the inspiration, in a not so good way, for the album was his ex-wife Heather Mills. The album title itself, ?Electronic Arguments?, is a reference to texts and emails that went on between the two during their marriage breakdown. The first song of the album ?Nothing Too Much Just Out of Sight?, Paul sings ?You said you love me – but was it true? The last thing to do was to lie about me silently.? Another track called ?Two Magpies? is a reference to Heather and her sister Fiona who squeezed him for the $50 million settlement. Sources say that it was named such since magpies are known to have the habit of taking brightly-colored shiny trinkets and jewelery to make their nests with.
