Adele Postpones Some Tour Dates

Adele has been forced to postpone two UK concert dates after falling ill to a nasty chest infection. The singer withdrew from her performances at the Plymouth Pavillions and at the Bournemouth International Centre. Adele released a statement on her official website, saying “hi guys, sorry about the first 2 shows. im as useless as a slug right now, ive had a rotten cold since i got home earlier this week and was hoping it wouldnt make its way onto my chest. but unfortunately it has and its leaving me breathless and i cant hold any of my notes when i sing.” Get well soon!

Adele Tops Billboard Hot 100

Adele made it back to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart for the tenth consecutive week last week. Now, the British singer is having even more success on the charts with “Rolling in the Deep” finding its way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for its seventh week. I’m also happy to announce that Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night (TGIF)” has made it to the top 5 of the Hot 100. The song is also doing very well in the Digital Songs chart where it sits at number 1, replacing Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”, which fell back to number 5. A huge shout out goes to Pitbull for holding the number 2 spot on the Hot 100 with “Give Me Everything” too. Congratulations guys!

Foo Fighters Dethrone Adele in the UK

After achieving the longest consecutive run at the top spot for a studio album by a solo artist in British chart history for her album “21”, Adele’s reign at the number 1 spot on the UK album chart has finally been taken over by the Foo Fighters’ new album “Wasting Light”. Despite losing the top spot, the British singer is still at #2 with “21” and is also at #3 with her debut album “19”. I’m impressed with her success in the US and UK, and I won’t be surprised if she manages to make her way in front of the Foo Fighters again. The rock band may have a solid album but there’s no denying Adele her throne.

John Legend Covers Adele – Rolling in the Deep

John Legend has gone ahead and paid tribute to Adele. The Grammy-winning singer has recently unveiled a stunning a cappella cover of the British star’s smash hit “Rolling in the Deep”. Adele’s latest album “21” has reclaimed the top spot of the Billboard 200. Whether John’s cover is an attempt to gain publicity, there’s no denying that he did amazingly on it. Some may say that it sounds too close to the original but the final result was still hot. It’s soulful, powerful and very good. The backup vocals were right on point too. I wonder what Adele thinks of the cover. I actually hope that they record the song as a duet after hearing John sing it.

Adele says Amy Winehouse is hardcore

The singer thinks that the troubled Amy Winehouse is ?hardcore?. Adele said this about the singer of ?Rehab?: “I think Amy is hardcore. She is a true phenomenon. When Amy was big in America, me and Duffy were blowing up in England, and I think it made the journey over a bit smoother for us.” How can you not consider Amy Winehouse to be hardcore? She goes around messing up her marriage and then wants to fix it all again? She managed to turn her husband into a felon and other some such details. Still, Adele is right about making the journey for her and Duffy to America easier. After Amy Winehouse hit America, the standards most definitely changed.
