Former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher is said to be recording his new album out in Los Angeles. The musician has been working on his new solo album and it’s thought he’s out in California working on the new material. A cameraman recently tweeted saying: "Music video for Noel Gallagher out at Club Ed. Epic camera, techno crane. Should be an interesting day." The message was later taken off of Twitter but Club Ed refers to a film set built in California for the 1991 film Eye Of The Storm. According to NME, a spokesperson for the star is yet to respond to a request to confirm that he has been filming the video for his first single.
The singer seems to have quite the soft spot for England… or rather a somewhat twisted spot for England. It seems that Lady GaGa will be doing a little tour in the UK this week and has asked that her tour staff all speak in the Cockney accent, the same accent traditionally found in the East End are of London. And of course there is also the usual request for traditional British cuisine such as fish and chips and of course gin and Pimm’s. It would appear that Lady GaGa doesn’t want to leave anything to chance while in the UK and wants to experience all of the finer things that the English have to offer. Hopefully she won’t be requiring too big a crew for her tour.

Moby is back with the music video for his song “The Day”. The track is the first single to come off of the singer’s upcoming album “Destroyed”, which is due out on May 16th. In the video, the very beautiful actress Heather Graham stars as an angelic nurse. The visual is also loaded with some very spiritual images depicting the battle between good and evil for a dying woman’s soul. That’s pretty deep. I usually don’t understand any of Moby’s videos but this one is definitely an interesting watch. Check out the video and tell me what you think of it.

Panic at the Disco has recently premiered the music video for their song “Ready to Go”. The track is the official second single from the rock band’s latest album, and the first work as a two-piece group, “Vices & Virtues”. The video was directed by Shane Drake, who also directed several other visuals for Panic at the Disco, including “The Ballad of Mona Lisa” and their 2006 VMA-winning video for “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”. I love this song and I love the video. Anything by Panic at the Disco, I’m a fan of. Add the fact that Shane directed it, even more so.

Most of the performers were on top of their game for this past Wednesday’s performance night on American Idol while others failed to impress. With three weeks left to go in the competition, there’s just no excuse to just coast along. Before announcing who was at the bottom, Ryan Seacrest announced that there were 60 million votes cast. After getting reviews from Jimmy Iovine, we saw Lauren Alaina standing with Jacob Lusk, and James Durbin standing with Haley Reinhart. Scotty was asked to choose to stand with the duo who he thought was safe. When he refused, Ryan led him over to Haley and James and announced that they were safe. And as I had hoped, we said goodbye to Jacob last night. Did you agree with the results?

British electro pop singer Frankmusik recently premiered the official music video for his track “Do it in the AM”. The Far East Movement-assisted track serves as the lead single from Vincent’s upcoming album of the same name, which is set to come out this summer. The song will also be Frankmusik’s first US single of his career. I like this song, just don’t pay too much attention to the lyrics because it’s really bad. As for the video, it served its purpose well enough with fitting visuals, featuring lots of partying and hanging out with the boys of Far East Movement.

Lady GaGa has released her long-awaited music video for the song “Judas”. This new “Judas” video isn’t really as controversial as some was expecting, there are some biblical references but nothing too extreme. I guess she is not happy with her love life according to this video.

Caleb Followill has admitted that he hasn’t been told the date of his own wedding to fiancée Lily Aldridge, because he can’t be trusted to keep it quiet. The Kings of Leon frontman and the Victoria’s Secret Model announced their engagement in September 2010 after three years of dating, and while Caleb revealed that they will marry this month, he insisted that he doesn’t know exactly when. Talking to People magazine, he said, "You have to ask Lily [about the wedding date]. She won’t tell me. I think it’s somewhere between May 10 and May 20, but she won’t tell me because I have a big mouth." Caleb’s brother and bandmate Jared added, "It’s going to be a very small wedding and then a big party. I think there are only like maybe 25 people or so going to the wedding, but a lot of people will be at the party."
The singer who has recently revealed that she was working on a musical based on her own music and life is apparently going to actually be releasing it as soon as next year. This is what Kylie Minogue’s long time collaborator and stylist, William Baker, had to say on the matter: “We’re both working on the Kylie musical, using all her songs, which will hopefully be done next year some time. I can’t wait!” So Kylie Minogue is going to be doing a musical of her own, eh? Perhaps she’ll manage to do a little better than Cher and Christina Aguilera. After all, she does have a whole year to make it as good as possible.
Music boss Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to replace David Hasselhoff as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent. The 51-year-old is said to be ‘unimpressed’ with Hasselhoff’s start on the show after joining along with comic Michael McIntyre. A source close to the music mogul said to UK newspaper Sunday Mirror: "He’s not thrilled about the start. He feels that The Hoff hasn’t quite taken off with BGT viewers." It’s claimed he could be lining up Louis Walsh to take over on the hit British talent show. Cowell himself will not appear on the line-up until the live finals.
