Raz B is lashing back at Chris Brown, insisting that their feud on Twitter was “not about receiving attention” but was about standing up for what he felt was “right”. In the wake of the 21-year old R&B singer’s apology, the B2K member has issued an apology of his own, saying “I want to publicly apologize for my direct attacks done out of anger. This is now about taking the right approach, so not only my story can be heard, but so someone learns something valuable.” As it was previously reported, Raz ignited the feud by tweeting comments about Chris’ assault on Rihanna. Chris reacted with a slew of racist and homophobic slurs with Raz firing back some slurs of his own. Raz continues “Standing up for yourself does not mean yelling or victimizing others and I sincerely apologize for that. I was told that ‘you can’t hear my message if I’m screaming.’” As for the death threats his brother made towards Chris, Raz’s rep said “Raz B cannot control his brother being protective over him.”

An unreleased track of Eminem’s has found its way online. The track is called “Cocaine” and it features the vocals of R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan. This collaboration was part of the recording sessions for the rapper’s “Recovery” album but it missed the final cut. It is now thought that the song will be used on a future re-release of the LP. It’s a great song that both of the artists killed on. I never thought that they would actually collaborate but I’ve learned to never say never. However, I don’t see this song getting the single treatment though. It deserves to be part of an album but I don’t think its strong enough to warrant single status.

Singer-actor Justin Timberlake has admitted he secretly always wanted to go to university. Speaking at a press conference after receiving Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals Man of the Year, the 29-year-old revealed why he was happy to be hanging round the school. Timberlake said: “Secretly, I always wanted to go to college and I didn’t get the chance to do that.” Justin’s girlfriend Hollywood actress Jessica Biel, 28, and his mother attended the ceremony, but managed to keep a low profile. The Social Network star also admitted that he isn’t sure what his plans for the future involve. He added: “I’m an artist first, so I’ll continue to follow the inspiration. That means movies, TV and writing [songs] for other people. “I mostly don’t know what I’m doing, I go from project to project to project.”

Another American Idol runner up outsells the first place winner as Crystal Bowersox’s debut album “Farmer’s Daughter” posted higher sales during its first week than champion Lee DeWyze’s debut, which hit stores in November. Crystal’s album outsold almost 19,000 more units that Lee’s “Live it Up” in its first week by selling 58,000 copies. But while the album did better than her fellow contestant’s debut, sales were still weak compared to previous winners and runners up. Crystal’s album only ranked higher than first season runner up Justin Guarini’s album, which sold 57,000 copies, and third season runner up Diana Degarmo’s album, which sold 47,000 copies. Ouch. Compared to numbers that Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert have put up, it doesn’t seem like the show is putting out any viable music industry competitors anymore.

Miyoki Jones recently became a human torch when she got too close to a candle at Diddy’s album release party and the fiery event was seen by millions on his Ustream. According to a source close to the model, Diddy called her up shortly after the incident to see how she was doing and then offered to foot the bill for her hair repair, no matter what the cost. It was a bit of a shock to hear about guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro’s departure from Paramore but it seems that the two rock stars have been wanting to leave for quite some time. In an official statement on Josh’s blog, the brothers gave some insight as to what exactly has been going on and what led to their exit. Josh wrote “I had a statement typed ready to post to you guys but Hayley released one without my permission.” The full statement went on about other issues with lead singer Hayley Williams and how she was treated by the label as more important than the rest of the band. Josh even wrote “In reality, what started as natural somehow morphed into a manufactured product of a major label, riding on the coattails of ‘Hayley’s dream.’” Yikes. What do you have to say about that Hayley?
Two men were arrested earlier this week for breaking into 50 Cent’s 52-room Connecticut mansion. The police were alerted of the break in around 6 in the morning when the rapper’s security team found a suspicious car in the driveway. Cops arrived to discover the robbers red handed with one of the thieves found hiding in the closet chugging a bottle of wine. Officials say that the men entered through an unlocked door and were in possession of marijuana when they arrived at the home. Both men are being held on a $50,000 bond. There was no word if 50 Cent was at home at the time.
Chris Brown has completed a court-ordered 52-week domestic violence course and proudly showed off the certificate of completion on his Twitter. He was ordered to take the class after pleading guilty to assault on his former girlfriend Rihanna. Chris also received five years probation and 180 days of community service. Along with the photo of the signed certificate, the R&B singer tweeted “I’m done with class.” While a certificate of completing domestic violence class isn’t something I would be proud of, I guess Chris has something to boast about since he’s made a huge step towards progress. Kudos to Chris for sticking to the program.
Disney execs are apparently looking to prevent their younger stars from having meltdowns in the wake of Demi Lovato’s situation and have reportedly asked former child stars and ex-lovers Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake to come in and talk to the up-and-comers. A source said “Justin and Britney have been asked if they would like to come in and speak to their younger counterparts about the tribulations of being famous so young. The Disney bosses think that if they have people to look up to they might stay on the straight and narrow.” While it has nothing to do with the actual story, I can’t help but wonder what would happen if the two pop stars finally cross paths again.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin turned down a posh meal after a recent gig and spent time with homeless people instead. Martin, 33, let a number of homeless people perform with him during a recent show in London and he preferred to hang out with them instead. A source said to UK newspaper Daily Star: “Chris had a load of homeless people singing in a choir for his gig and he thought they were so amazing he wanted to hang out with them after. “He went backstage, snubbed his celeb dinner and ordered 12 giant pizzas and 25 bags of chips for them all to eat. “His security were desperately trying to get him to leave and go back to his dressing room, but he was having none of it.”
So it turns out that the singer’s progress in rehab hasn’t been all that great as report might have mentioned. Recently Lindsay Lohan was moved to another facility appertaining to the Betty Ford Clinic, supposedly for safety reasons given her stalker and whatnot, but now sources are claiming that Lindsay Lohan also got into a fight with a staff member due to a party bust a few days ago. This is what the source said on the matter: “Lindsay was moved to another property owned by the Betty Ford Center in order to preserve her safety, yes, but also to deal with any differences she might have had with anyone in that house.” So Lindsay Lohan is already back to partying… hopefully not the drinking kind otherwise her whole progress just goes down the drain.
George Michael has reportedly signed on to be a judge on the upcoming US version of the X Factor. A source said “George is going to take the job. It’s an amazing opportunity to get back in the limelight and reverse his recent bad spell. Simon [Cowell] knows that Americans love him. He is as big in the US as he is [in the UK]. He is a true star and has the wit and experience for the job. It’s the perfect platform to resurrect his career.” It’s an odd choice for me but if the singer can behave himself, I think he’d be a great addition to the show. George definitely has the personality that audiences would love to watch.

A triumph for equality after 17 YEARS” It is a great day for justice and equality indeed… Danton and Marrat would be proud. But since it’s such a great day maybe Lady Gaga might consider giving it a little more dignity by actually spelling words and not using mathematical symbols to replace them. Keri Hilson’s album “No Boys Allowed” leaked in its entirety late last week. While it’s puzzling to most, I like that we got to finally listen to one of the most anticipated tracks on the R&B singer’s new LP – her collaboration with Chris Brown called “One Night Stand”. It’s a great song with both artists demonstrating some great vocal control and generating an amazing harmony in the chorus. I wouldn’t be surprised if the song ended up as a single. Sources are saying that Miley Cyrus’ handlers knew all about the bong video weeks ago and did everything they could to bury it, including buying off several students. According to sources, a college student contacted one of the Disney actress/singer’s reps to ask if they were willing to make an exchange for their copy of the video. Money was discussed but in the end, they settled for an exchange of hardware – an old MacBook Pro for a brand new one. After that, another student made a similar trade-off for another copy of the video. There could be numerous other trade-offs that aren’t known but we all know that in the end, the video still came out.
And it’s not just any kind of lawsuit but the worst kind: the copyright infringement. It looks like a young rapper from Atlanta, who ironically goes by the name Young Caliber, is suing 50 Cent for the “I Get Money” track which he allegedly purchased from producer Apex before it was recorded by 50 Cent. This is what Young Caliber’s lawyer said on the matter: “The misappropriation of copyright-protected material is an endemic problem in the music business, and particularly in the genre of hip-hop/rap. This is one such case. Our client was granted exclusive rights to the ‘I Get Money’ instrumental and was unceremoniously cut out of the loop when the defendants realized they had a huge hit on their hands.” This one is a big woops for 50 Cent. Well, he will still have his diamonds.
Bruno Mars has postponed his court date on a Las Vegas cocaine charge for the second time. The R&B singer was not in court this past Tuesday while his lawyer asked a judge to let Bruno’s LA attorney take part in the case. Instead, Bruno will be back in court on February 4. The singer is facing a felony drug possession charge after he was found with 2.6 grams of cocaine following a September performance in Las Vegas. If convicted, Bruno can face up to four years in prison. I say he just needs to get this over with. With his luck, he can still resurrect his career like Lil Wayne.
The band is apparently going to be going epic with their next album as Chris Martin revealed that it is going to be a concept album. This is what Coldplay’s front man had to say on the matter: “It’s from the point of view of two people who are a bit lost. Two like-minded outsiders who meet in a very difficult environment and therefore have a journey together. It’s a concept album but it’s supposed to be very personal within a big framework. Does that make sense? I’m so lucky that we have that group, in as much as there are a lot of people who don’t like us in the world, but there would be a lot more without this filtering system. Think of the rubbish that doesn’t get out, if you don’t like the stuff that does.” So it seems that Coldplay have taken the high road and decided to experiment a little. They might not have as much success as they did, but they will certainly grow more and appreciate themselves as artists.
The singer probably regrets marrying Ojani Noa a lot more than she did up to now since it’s his girlfriend, Claudia Vasquez, who is suing Jennifer Lopez for the not so small amount of ten million dollars. The lawsuit is apparently going to state that Jennifer Lopez misstated facts about her former husband just to get a restraining order against him. That should probably ensure that Jennifer Lopez’s former husband and his girlfriend are going to have a very merry Christmas… but it’s not going to be this one. Considering how long it takes for a lawsuit to get resolved or settled… especially given how well Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Vasquez supposedly get along with each other.
Ke$ha is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Billboard magazine. The 23-year old pop singer has several reasons to celebrate, including being named the magazine’s Hot 100 Artist of the Year, as well as Top New Artist. Ke$ha talked about her whirlwind past year with the magazine, saying “I pretty much feel like I’ve been reborn into this completely different existence. My entire life has become making music and playing shows, and I love it.” Congratulations to Ke$ha for getting such an honor. Do you think she deserves it? Simon Cowell reportedly wants Noel Gallagher and Mick Jagger as judges on the American X Factor. The 51-year-old judge is taking the UK talent show to the US next year and it is claimed he wants former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher to be part of the show. A source said to UK newspaper The Sun: “Simon wants to go one better than American Idol, who have Aerosmith frontman Steve Tyler, and has set his heart on British rock ‘n’ roll royalty – with Noel and Mick top of his shopping list. “Noel’s manager met up for early talks and there is serious wedge on offer. Simon is a huge fan of Noel’s songwriting and the no-nonsense attitude Oasis brought to Britpop in the Nineties. He’d be great to dish out feedback.”

I’m still struggling with a lot of things personally, and there’s still a long way to go.” A new house is always a good place to start… it never fails to serve in hiding the true issues of relationships. But Ronan Keating is probably going to patch things up pretty well… until the next time temptation pops up at his door.

Moreover, it looks like Eminem could even take the actor under his wing as Robert Pattinson recently admitted that he is very into rap: “You want a secret? The rockers from Kings of Leon have recently released a new music video for their song “Pyro”. The video itself is a fairly interesting thing as it features Kings of Leon playing in a sleazy strip bar. Except for the band itself, everything else seems to happen in slow motion and a guy starts a bar fight that has a rather unexpected result. Musically the song is a soft rock piece, very mellow, seemingly melancholic with some pretty cryptic lyrics, but King of Leon have probably hidden a sense in there somewhere for anybody who is patient enough to look for it. All in all it’s not a very bad waste of four minutes.
