Kanye West returned to reprise his role as locally famous rapper Kenny West in the season premiere of The Cleveland Show this week. The episode featured a brand new song performed by Kanye and the voice of lead character Cleveland Brown, Mike Henry, called ‘Be-cleve in Yourself’. Producers said that though this was the second time they were working with Kanye, there were still nervous to have him in the studio. But everyone was in agreement that Kanye didn’t come with an ego, coming in early and prepared and was nothing but a joy to work with. He even reportedly performed a spontaneous rap for everyone in the office. Cool!

Twilight star Ashley Greene has introduced her boyfriend Joe Jonas to her family, according to reports. The celebrity duo has been dating for four months and was spotted shopping and grabbing a bite to eat at a mall in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Later the couple were seen locking lips in a local bar. “They were there with two other couples and at first went unnoticed,” an eyewitness told E! Online. “Then they moved to the back corner for more privacy. They were very cute together, she was caressing him, they were making out and holding hands.” “After they started making out, they drew some unwanted attention,” the eyewitness recounted. Local fans were keen to pose with the pair, who declined pictures. The celebrity couple had to call on the bar’s security to help get one persistent man away. Greene, 23, will soon be back at work on the blockbuster vampire franchise when the newest instalment, Breaking Dawn, begins shooting later in the year.

The singer recently went on her Twitter to talk about the video saying that it “failed a test for TV”. It has since been forced back for a re-edit after it was deemed too sexy. Nadine said “It was so much fun making the video – even though I was sprayed with water and had a bad neck afterward after all the hair flicking and rocking out I did!” It’s too bad no amount of sexiness can cover how bland the song is.

Paul McCartney would like to share with the world and he’s going to do it by posting his extensive collection of artwork, videos and master recordings online. The project will give fans access to some items that have never been released before, including never before seen Live Aid footage of the rock singer. Hewlett-Packard is taking on the project and they are treating it with immense care. They already have a team of between 30 and 100 people devoted to it. If this turns out well, HP may approach other artists about posting their collections online as well. In that case, I hope all does go well.
Florence + The Machine will be releasing a two-disc special edition of their smash album ‘Lungs’, called ‘Between Two Lungs’ with the track ‘Heavy in Your Arms’ being released as the new single. The song was part of the ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ soundtrack. The singer said “Heavy In Your Arms I suppose is about the weight of love, and how sometimes it can be a burden between two people. I felt a strong theme in the Twilight series was someone being rescued or being condemned, and is the love you carry bringing you down.” The second disc will also feature a new track with Dizzee Rascal called ‘You Got the Dirtee Love’, as well as remixes and acoustic material.

Although John Lennon’s sons Julian Lennon and Sean Lennon have had an often difficult relationship, they seem to have laid their issues to rest and are getting along much better now. Apparently, problems between the brothers started in 1980 after their father was murdered and Julian and his mom started clashing with Sean and Yoko Ono over a portion of the famed singer’s estate. Julian recently said “Things are good between us. Whenever I’m in New York we all get together. Sean even asked me to shoot his album cover – for free, of course.” Sean and Yoko were even spotted showing their support for Julian at his photography exhibit at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in New York City last week.

Linkin Park’s album ‘A Thousand Suns’ has reached the top spot on the Billboard charts, with 241,000 units sold. It’s a pretty big slide from the band’s 2007 release ‘Minutes to Midnight’ which sold 623,000 units and debuted at number 1 as well. But they’re still number 1 so that should count for something. The music industry isn’t the same as it was before. As far as singles go, the rock stars’ hit song ‘The Catalyst’ hit number 27 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. They’re doing well for themselves but I really think they could be doing better. But I still extend my congratulations to the band for having a number 1 album.
Selita Ebanks has dismissed speculation that she is dating Kanye West. The rumour-mill went into overdrive when the 27-year-old model and former Celebrity Apprentice candidate was spotted watching the US Open with West in New York earlier this month. But she told OK Magazine that they are just ‘great friends’. She said, “I love his creativity. I love that he thinks outside the box. “He’s just himself. Not only am I a fan, I support him 100 percent.” West is believed to have turned up to support Ebanks last night as she hosted the New Yorkers For Children Gala in Manhattan.

X Factor is about to get fierce as it is being reported that Nicole Scherzinger is about to sign at multimillion dollar contract to be a judge on the US version of the show. Sources say that the Pussycat Dolls lead singer will be joining Cheryl Cole who “has been discussing this with Cowell for months and is ready to move to LA”. That panel of judges is seemingly coming along well. I wonder who else will be joining them. It’s certainly going to be interesting to watch how this show would compare to American Idol. I wonder if there’s going to be any drama between the judges like there was on the UK version of the show.

She’s in such a good place right now in life that she is interested in making party music, definitely.” While I love hearing her ballads, I think Beyonce really shines when she’s making dance music.
