The pop sensation has reportedly invited Jaden Smith, Will Smith’s son, to perform at the show after appearing in Justin’s video for ‘Never Say Never’. A source said “Special security arrangements are being made for Jaden, who will appear onstage, and his family, including Will, to be in the audience for the concert.” Sources also say that R&B singer Usher will also be there, along with Sean Kingston, Jessica Jarrell and other celebrity surprise performers. 22-year old Charles Haddon of the band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool committed suicide last Friday night after he jumped off a telecommunications mast and into a parking lot at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium. This comes in the same week that a man jumped to his death at a Swell Season concert. This is unbelievably awful and tragic. I can’t even begin to think about the trauma that the people who had to witness the event may have. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of Charles and to the people who saw the tragedy. May Charles rest in peace.
Weezer has announced plans for a retro tour where the band will spend two nights in each city. The first night, they will play the entire ‘Blue’ album, and the second night, they will play the whole ‘Pinkerton’ album. Lead singer Rivers Cuomo said “We’re just running it by promoters right now to see if there’s sufficient interest in the markets to do something like that, and if they’re on board, it’s gonna happen. The fan response has been incredible so far for the idea. And, if they want to, they can contact their local promoter and tell them to make it happen.” I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t go down.

Kings of Leon lead singer Caleb Followill regrets talking smack about the band’s huge hit ‘Sex on Fire’. The rocks tar said that he was ashamed of calling the song a “piece of shit” and called his new fans “not fucking cool”. Caleb said “For a while there, I turned into someone I wasn’t proud of. I wasn’t appreciative of the admiration we were getting, and I said some things that I’m ashamed of. I hurt people who were genuine fans of the band because I was embarrassed to look out from the stage every night and see people who weren’t like me.”
While some would think that the people of Haiti would be in love with the idea of having a high-profile president, Wyclef Jean has been receiving countless death threats from people insisting that he retract his bid for the presidency. The hip hop singer is dealing with it though, saying “In the past couple of days we have received a few death threats. Just for our safety we came to an area we feel is secured – that is my town. We’re in an area where we’re comfortable, the area where we were at before, we weren’t comfortable. We know this situation we’ve embarked on, death threats come with the territory. A Miami federal judge has permitted Kanye West the option of not attending a mediation session with Suge Knight to resolve the lawsuit filed against him. If you recall, around 5 years ago, someone shot Sugein the leg at Kanye’s house during a party. Since the shooter was never identified, Suge is suing the rapper for some big money. Instead of showing up in person, Kanye can just phone into the session from another location due to some long-standing business commitments outside the US. I say just pay Suge the million bucks he’s suing for so Kanye can get on with his life.

Guns n’ Roses frontman Axl Rose reportedly claimed the band’s new tour was cancelled – but it turned out to be a Twitter hoax.
The 48-year-old lead vocalist had a message posted on his Twitter page, according to NME, on August 15 claiming that the tour was off.
The post said: “All upcoming Guns N’ Roses dates are officially cancelled. Please contact your place of purchase for any refunds.”
Fan sites said at the time that they believed it was a hoax and that the page could have been hacked.
A band spokesperson later confirmed that the claim was a hoax and Axl Rose’s Twitter account had been hacked.

Many of Pink Floyd’s albums have been taken off the internet after a distribution deal with the iconic rock band’s record label ran out. ‘The Wall’, ‘Animals’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, and ‘The Final Cut’ have all been taken down from online digital stores because the contract with EMI actually expired on June 30. Reps for the band are working on securing a new deal to bring the music back for digital downloads. If they knew that the deal was set to expire, I wish they could have worked harder on securing a new one before it did so fans didn’t have to wait in limbo.

Haiti’s electoral commission is postponing its ruling regarding who will be allowed to run for President of the country. That means that Wyclef Jean’s candidacy status is still in limbo. The hip hop singer turned wannabe politician said “We await the CEP decision but the laws of the Haitian Constitution must be respected.” In addition to the stress he must be feeling with this bit of news, Wyclef also disclosed that he’s been receiving death threats. Tila Tequila was recently a casualty at the Gathering of the Juggalos last weekend when audience members threw pretty much everything, including feces, at the reality TV star. She wasn’t the only victim though as Method Man was also subjected to the attack. According to sources, he and fellow rapper Redman were performing at the festival on Sunday night when someone in the audience threw what appeared to be a full beer can at Method Man’s face, resulting in a pretty nasty wound right by the eye. Redman threw expletives at the crowd before telling Method Man to get the cut looked at, however, he refused to stop the show and continued on performing.
